This was my first time using this tailor and everything was just excellent. I was greeted immediately by the owner and shown to the changing room. She made quick work of hemming and marking. It was exactly the length I wanted. The pants were ready a couple days later and they're perfect. So often I go and pick up a pair of pants or a skirt that I have had hemmed and the finished article is not the length that it was supposed to be based on the initial fitting. I am very pleased with the service, the speed, the price and the excellent results. I will be returning with more items soon. read more

Great service and helped us out of a pickle. We needed last minute alterations on a prom dress. It was plan C dress as first arrived and was too small, second didn't arrive at all and this was a beautiful Dillard's dress but a bit too long dragging on the floor. These wonderful ladies accepted the dress Thursday and Saturday morning it was done. It was perfect. Couldn't be happier with the service and cost was beyond reasonable for last minute rescue. They saved the day and warmed a mother's heart. Forever grateful. read more

If you need pants altered, save your money and go elsewhere. She told me, "You should have let me know where you want things pinned, and where the zippers and pockets are." So I asked her why I would need her expertise if I'm the one shaping the garment myself? In the end, I paid $27 for the hem and $24 for the botched sides that were "taken" in. She had sewn around the side pockets that have zippers. It caused the sides to stick out (imagine MC Hammer's pants). She blamed me for the botched job of sewing around the zippers because I "failed" to tell her there were zippers. Give me a break! What a frustrating person to deal with who's supposed to be an expert in garment alteration. Save your time and money and learn from my experience. Find other better rated and professional alteration places. read more

She is very nice and means well, just does not have much experience with wedding dresses. I wish she would have been honest and told me that she couldn't handle my dress at the beginning. She complained about the length of my train and refused to take it in on top when I specifically asked her to. Kept saying "it looks fine!". Also did not know how to do my bustle. I ended up having to pay more to take it to someone else to fix it on a short timeline. Definitely would not recommend for wedding dress alterations. read more

I was in desperate need to get alterations done to a bridesmaid dress. Since I am a dumb ass I waited until 2 weeks until the wedding to get my alterations done. This dress was a little tricky because it was a backless and strapless dress, and if it wasn't altered correctly, my chi-chi's could have made an appearance at the wedding and that is one big faux pas that I wanted to avoid. I took my dress in to Exclusive Alterations and they had it done in a week and for half of what another alterations chain quoted me. The dress came back perfectly fitted and even though the wine was flowing at the wedding and we danced all night my chi-chi's stayed safely tucked away. Whew. Since the bridesmaid dress, I have taken a few pairs of slacks to be hemmed and I have been happy every time. They don't take credit cards, but they do take checks and cash. read more

They also work with you in the case you need quicker turnaround with no additional fees--simply state when you need it upfront. They do a great job with hemming pants. I even had a skirt taken in since it was a bit too big & they did a great job for $15. Expect to pay $12 to hem jeans and $17 for slacks. read more

I went there upon recommendation, to get my wedding dress fitted/altered. My positive experience led to a revival of age-old clothes trapped in my closet. Things I bought in the past because they were good quality and on mega sale, but didn't quite fit... or old stuff that looked funny now due to changes in fashion, with high waist and strangely shaped legs. My closet is historical. Fabrics were so much better in the past. So I feel bad getting rid of old items. I do get rid of new items no problem, since everything is a cheap piece of disgusting polyester. But I digress... Whatever I brought, they altered well. I get the impression that the owner is actually a tailor, but I haven't asked. She seems to be very knowledgeable and experienced. General alteration prices are comparable to other alteration places. Definitely not more expensive. For my wedding dress they charged me quite less than what the bridal store quoted. Payments are cash or check only. read more

Doris is incredible. I've taken my jeans, dresses, shirts, even a bra with the wire sticking out. This woman can do it all. Her work is exceptional, prices are very reasonable, and turn around is fast (can be even faster for a small fee). I'm 5'3" and I have difficulty finding pants that fit correctly. Pants are always too long, even if they are a petite cut. .I was referred to Exclusive Alterations by a co-worker and I'm glad I tried them out. I needed to pairs of slacks hemmed up and two other pairs taken in because I have lost some weight. They did an excellent job! Doris, the owner, was a sweetie. Not very honest with pricing. I brough a pair of jeans and a blouse to be altered. I was given a ticket with two charges which added to a total. When I return to pick up my items I was told they had forgotten to include the charge for the jeans. They said the two charges on the ticket were both for the blouse. I was asked to pay $10 more than originally written on the ticket or they would not return my jeans. This was not a very honest move. I am never returning. read more
