I was searching online for a fluff and fold laundry service for a short term rental…read moreproperty that I help my daughter manage, ideally one that did pick up and delivery. When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business!

I didn't know laundromats were for rich people now. This is a shame because I've been coming here for years.

The staff is always friendly and helpful, they have quite a few washing machines though there are a few broken ones and at least one that can't get hot water but works otherwise. The whole back wall is dryers which seems like plenty and would be if it were not for inconsiderate people. Most days I have gone managed to be a weekday so no bad. This last visit was on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. Barely found a parking spot, but my big issue was the dryers. So many had clothes sitting in them, the cycle done but no one taking care of it. Not a great look when it is not busy but when it is so busy there are no open ones do better. I wish the laundromat had some kind of rule or did something if it is sitting there too long, at least when it is this busy. But otherwise it was fine. None of the TV's have ever been on, though that is one of the selling points on the wall. The first visit back in 2019 had one of them going. Since then not at all. They do sell cans of soda, water, and chips if you are going to be there for a while.

I come here frequently because of their big machines but now some of the same machines week after week have the same issue with no hot water or only can run on the light cycle. At least 1/2 the dryers are full of clothes someone has left, the floors are dirty, and there is so much lint dust. The staff are busy doing laundry but are helpful when needed. The customer service has not changed, it is still top notch. Bottom line, weekends are messy. I'll try to stick to during the week and that might help.

I love this laundry service! They pick up laundry directly from you at a scheduled time and return…read moreit within four hours. Everything comes back clean and fresh. The service I use includes washing. drying and folding. I have some items that I like to air-dry. I simply put those dirty items on hangers and they are returned the same way (cleaned, of course) so I can continue to air dry at home. I sent the laundry out in the linen liner from my hamper. It came back laundered as well. Laundry is returned in a sturdy and safe NoScrubs labeled laundry bag for future use. Our usual load is 20 pounds or under. Just to note, they don't do things like area rugs, etc. Towels, bedding are accepted. Be sure to tip your cleaner because it's well deserved. With tipping, the pricing is still less than or equal to what I pay using the laundry room at my apartment complex. However, those washers don't always do the best job. Highly recommend.

Horrible business owner…read more I would give ZERO stars if I could. Brandon the owner is an unreasonable person and should not be in business with his attitude. I will admit that I have been satisfied with this dry cleaner for well over a decade until this week. I took pants in there to get laundered, I did not ask for a crease to be put into my pants yet it came back with one. I asked them to redo it without the crease. I came back again but the crease is still there and the owner, who said that the pants were made that way and there is nothing he can do. I told him I bought them without a crease- He still argued with me. When I asked him to reimburse me for a new pair he said no. I cannot believe how he can run a business like this and his customer is never right. I would highly suggest that you DO NOT do business with them knowing that if they destroy your clothing that it is not their fault and will not pay damages. I'm highly disappointed and will never speak highly of them again.

Connie got him looking as good as new and I am so so SO pleased. She also repaired a beanie and reVelcro'd my leather belt, double stitched. This is my second review for this shop. I'll throw in a reminder that she fixed a bikini bottom to better fit my hips, front AND back (we had a great trip, btw). I seriously doubt that there isn't anything Connie can't fix or create. When I came to pick them up, they charged my card $42 -- TWICE. That's $84 for a $20 service. When I brought it to their attention, they did not refund the full amount, and gave me the runaround. Their business practices are shady, deceptive, and completely unprofessional. I trusted them with my items and my money, and they took advantage of that trust. Do not bring your clothes here unless you want to be overcharged, ignored, and scammed. I will never go back, and I suggest everyone stay far away from this place. They don't deserve your business.

Just don't come hungry, because the vending machines are way way WAY overpriced. Like predatory levels of overpriced on some items, several dollars for a tiny bag of chips that would cost $0.50-$1.50 at a grocery store or convenience store is sold for up to $5.00 sometimes. Not sure if this if the owner's doing or if they are renting that space to a vending vendor, but it's really off-putting in a world filled with shrinflation and ever-present corporate corruption.

No one was there to address the concern, it was only a small amount but everyone don't have extra change to get shorted. I've only been able to get a cart not in use half the time. With a bad back and hip, transferring to either a low or high dryer bending so frequently from my own laundry basket, kills my back. Hopefully they get at least double the carts very soon. Been 2 months since they last said they were working on it.

They gave me a clear time approximation and even beat it (they estimated 6-8 weeks but I believe it only took about 2-3?). My jackets came back wrapped really nicely, and the delivery driver took proper care to deliver at my door. In fact, I wasn't home and she asked how I would like my jackets to be dropped off. The thoughtfulness and consideration Ian's provides can't be beat. I also appreciate that they have an app so you can easily plan your pick-ups and drop-offs. If I have any articles of clothing that will need dry cleaning in the future, Ian's will be top of mind.
