I went in twice to look for a rug for my home. I am so glad I did. The pieces in this store are art. You will appreciate them over time and they will probably become heirlooms. The atmosphere is like walking into an Middle Eastern marketplace, but much more intimate because there are no crowds. I got the opportunity to talk to Laiq, a wonderful and kind gentleman. He brought out some rugs that I saw on the website the next day. Laiq educated me on rug types and materials. I really got to appreciate the amount of work that went into each rug. Each rug is made by hand and imported from various countries such as Iran, India and Afghanistan. You can really get some masterpieces here. A vegetable dyed and densely hand-knotted rug was way out of my league. What I ended up with was a beautiful 8x10ft Indian hand knotted and chrome dyed floral rug made from wool. A one of a kind piece. If you don't want to settle for the machine-made, mass-produced, glued down, fossil fuel fiber rugs sold at your mega chain stores, I highly suggest you take a journey here.
