I want to get strong now to prevent any of that happening in my future and I am so glad I decided to try some classes. I am currently taking Zumba Gold and Tai Chi and really loving both. I have absolutely noticed how my legs have gotten stronger and I feel more confident walking with improved posture and balance. Molly Roffman, the owner and instructor at StepWISEnow, is a physical therapist. She is so knowledgable about balance and fall risk and gives talks to medical professionals about its importance. Molly is an excellent and patient instructor. Her enthusiasm is infectious and when we're doing Zumba Gold, it's so much fun, you don't even feel like you're working out. Tai Chi class has made me stronger and feel so graceful, which is something new for me. If you have been thinking about your balance or have friends or relatives you might be concerned about, you need to come here. It's a warm, comforting and supportive place. Molly also offers a separate workshop on balance training, which has been very popular in the studio. Our neighborhood is so lucky to have StepWISEnow. I enjoy most learning tai chi which is amazing when practiced 2+ times a week, improving balance, improving strength. It's very calming, especially doing it in a group! And Molly is a wonderful instructor who offers a deep yet practical knowledge and makes it accessible to all. I started last spring because of some osteoarthritis and feel so much better, my pain is much much less, and I move better, too. If you are over 55, check this studio in Ossining out! Lots of class offereings -- line dancing, chair yoga, zumba gold that gets your heart pumping, etc. Honestly, I'm so happy it's in my neighborhood!

The owner contacted me and apologized for the class not working out then reimbursed me for the remainder of the year. This is all I ever wanted so my advice moving forward, choose dance classes/ companies wisely, don't ever pay in full and endorse those that are obsessed with doing right by their clients. I am now a satisfied customer and very appreciative. This turn of events says a lot about the owner and the dance school.

The Steffi community is truly a family. My sisters and I all danced here and have made friendships that have lasted far beyond our high school years. While some who train here go on to a professional dance career, others have continued to find the joy of dance in all aspects of their life. We were able to work with choreographers like Patrick Corbin, Sidra Bell, Peter Pucci, Nancy Lushington, Michael Foley, Annmaria Mazzini, Sabatino Verlezza and Pam Tanowitz. We were able to perform as young girls in the outstanding SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center, and other prominent venues in NYC. Their Moving Wheels and Heels program features adaptive dance for both stand up and wheelchair dancers. As a student at the school, I was able to work with this program. As a young woman, being able to not just hone my own technique, but also give back in such a fundamental way, was truly remarkable.
