Historic theater from 1885. A real bonus to the community and the arts. I know the exterior had major renovation work, and hopefully, the interior is soon in the making. No doubt it will be a major undertaking and at a hefty price. Loved the concert experience and the overall vibe.

Tarrytown Music Hall is a very old yet charming venue. The Volunteers Do a wonderful job moving the lines continuously, as well as assisting with seating. We saw 2 different Shows on separate days, Lorie Burkner Band and The Nutcracker ballet. Both very lovely and fun. They are very serious about certain shows not being photographed or videotaped, and the venue is accessible only on the first level. They will however have someone assist if you call ahead. Bathrooms were not ideal for handicapped fyi. I planned my son's care before and after showtime, plan accordingly for this Old Historical Site Venue.

I visited Tarrytown for the day yesterday specifically to see Haunted Objects Live at the Music Hall. The show was fantastic! The space is very cool with a quaint, vintage vibe. The staff were very kind and helpful. But above all the show was phenomenal & they should definitely have Greg & Dana Newkirk back again in the future. I paid the extra fee for the meet & greet after the show and was not disappointed. Greg & Dana were unbelievably kind and gracious. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely return again in the future. The town is adorable and fall is the perfect time to visit to see the leaves changing. I cannot recommend the experience highly enough.

Wonderful place to see a concert. It's historic and feels like stepping back in time seeing a show here. They feature a mix of local and big name acts. From rock to blues to children's shows to comedians and more they have it all here. We did a day trip over the weekend to walk around town and grabbed two tickets to see Eaglemania when passing by. Had a nice dinner close by and then enjoyed a great show. The acoustics and air conditioning here is terrific. Good sighting from most seats. Concessions are only $3 for pretty much everything except alcohol which is a lot cheaper than Broadway theaters. It's a very community place and those working here are volunteers who are really nice. Seating in the orchestra area is super affordable with comfy seats and a ton of leg room. Balcony seating is tight from what I viewed. Splurge for orchestra seats! Take a walk around and check things out before the show. It's old and shows it, but there are some cool things to view.

What a fantastic place to see a show! We were impressed with this intimate venue and had a blast seeing The Real Housewives of New York, countess Luanne De Lesseps cabaret show. If you have the chance to see a show here, I definitely recommend it. Friendly and helpful staff& volunteers who help you find your seat, etc. will be looking for more shows to go back!

Beautiful Old timely music hall with several obvious renovations. Makes me wonder what it look like in its heyday. It's in a nice area of town where there are lots of restaurants and other venues to enjoy before or after any performance. My friend and I came on a Friday night after work to see Maria Bamford, the comedian. We took Metro North and it's just a short eight minute walk from Metro North Tarrytown station to the music Hall. There's a bar on the second floor that's a little hard to notice. It's a nice intimate venue with pretty nice acoustics. At least for watching comedy. I would definitely come back again. The seats are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, ushers are nice. I hear it's a nonprofit so I gave five dollars to support the theater. Note: Maria Bamford is super talented and sweet to her fans.

Lived here in west Chester for 25 years and this is my first time at TMH? Old school charm mixed with very good acoustics for a music concert. Sat in row L on the aisle so the sight line was great. Walked to the balcony and seems to be an decent view there. Beer and wine selections are good and reasonably priced. Hopefully will be back soon for a show or movie. Update: went to see Alan Parsons Project and sat in nearly last row in balcony (row L) the sound was quite disappointing, and these bright lights from the side were on for the first few songs, light were blinding and distracting from the show. They would then continue to come on to encourage the audience to applaud or such. Had to put my hand over my eyes. The sound? Bad. I went down to the back of the orchestra and was much better. I don't recommend sitting up in the balcony if you can avoid it. Sight line is fine though.

Great 800 seat venue in downtown Tarrytown. Plenty of municipal parking lots and restaurants to suit every taste and wallet size. I love the old theatre feel of the place and for me being over 6' tall, the extra legroom! Nice staff of volunteers who understood that The Mavericks were not a sit down and listen crowd but a " get up and shake it" bunch of fans who were very enthusiastic as was the band. A fun night was had by all. Thank you Tarrytown Music Hall for a job well done.

Really great venue with tons of history. Saw Pink Floyd The Machine here. It was great, lighting was really great too. Don't forget to look up at the ceiling and how pretty the Music Hall is See my pictures. Easy access in, just don't forget your Covid Card and a gaze up at the ceiling.

    Incredible architecture - 1885

We love having the ability to see top music and other entertainment acts at a smaller, local and more intimate venue. This 1885 historic landmark building is conveniently located, surrounded by a bunch of terrific restaurants and routinely hosts terrific acts. It has been operated by a non-profit since its closure and renovations in the late 70's. Tickets are reasonably priced and there is convenient pickup at the window. We popped in to see the Cowboy Junkies. Had great seats, and the band was terrific. Only nit pick is that the seating is tight, especially when compared with the Paramount in Peekskill. And another touch up is probably overdue.

The Music Hall itself is an interesting historic place (built around 1885 by chocolate manufacturer William Wallace) - it's the oldest theater in Westchester.

Absolutely LOVE this place but only receiving 4-stars for the following reasons:…read more First, If you sit back near the SRO (bar area), ALL you hear is people talking and the clinking of glass. Horribly distracting. The WORST place to stand or sit near if you're in the back of the Orchestra (latter rows)! Two, if you sit along the left wall (Orchestra), there is an alcove of sorts closer to the front of the stage. There is a TV in there (WHY, I don't know!), that is left on during performances. If you're in seats along the wall, you 'will' be distracted from the glare of the television light (as I recently was back in Row N!). Lastly, lobby bar prices are INSANE: $38 for a single serving CAN of wine and a single serve bottle of Prosecco. We had just come from a very nice restaurant and paid well less than that for quality!

I fell in love with the historic Capital Theatre the minute I walked in. Just a spectacular old building. While the show we saw, I won't say who, wasn't the greatest concert in the world the sound production and sight lines made for a really pleasant concert experience. Oh, and I should mention that the parking was a piece of cake. The reason this venue only gets three stars is simple: the bartenders were massively over serving. This was by far the drunkest crowd of concert-goers I've ever been in. It was literally unsafe. The venue gets props for having gender neutral bathrooms...they just don't have enough of them. The lines were nuts and for this show there were booze-fueled fights happening while you were waiting to take a leak. All in all, not a great vibe.

The ticket prices were reasonable, and the seating was surprisingly spacious. The seats are wide with lots of legroom, and there's enough space for people to walk by without you having to stand up -- which was a nice change from most theaters. The staff was super helpful, and during intermission, they even let us know we could use the movie theater bathrooms next door to avoid the lines. That kind of hospitality is something you don't usually get in Manhattan theaters. We saw Dreamgirls and it was a fantastic performance. All the singers had incredibly strong voices, the stage design and costumes were beautifully done, and the choreography really brought it all together. My only critique is that at times, the orchestra overpowered the vocals, making it a little hard to understand the lyrics -- and I imagine that might have been tough for some of the older audience members as well. A slight adjustment in sound balance would make a big difference. I went to a Saturday matinee, and while I'm not sure how many shows they do per day, the crowd leaned more toward middle-aged and older folks. Parking was a breeze -- there's a paid garage, and if you park on the fifth floor, you can walk right across the bridge directly into the theater. A few days before the show, I received an email with all the info I needed, including where to park and what to expect. Great communication. Overall, it was an excellent experience and a top-notch production. I'll absolutely be keeping an eye on future performances at this venue.
