I called Luis at the very beginning of February and asked if he would be able to facilitate me getting my private pilots in an accelerated manner. I am from out of town and only had a month of availability to work with. I had a bit of prior flying experience, though it had been years since I last flew. I was definitely rusty. I was also struggling to retain the information from the online ground school platforms so I requested ground instruction. Luis assessed where my skill level, and with my instructor Travis, we came up with a plan to work towards my goal. Travis was thorough, organized, patient, and knowledgeable. He was very dedicated to giving me as much ground and flight instruction that I could handle. And he worked with the ambitious time frame I set for us. Luis has an incredible depth of aviation knowledge, and his teaching style is second to none. He knows how to break complex topics down in a way that makes them easy to understand, whether you're just starting out or advancing your training. He trains professional pilots, not hobbyists--and it shows. If you're not serious or passionate about becoming a pilot, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you are, you won't find better. I earned my ICFI here in just a few weeks, and they keep the process moving--DPE checkride dates are usually only 1-2 weeks out, which is unheard of at most other places. Aside from the front desk staff, most employees did not acknowledge me at all when I greeted them or tried to ask questions. I made multiple attempts to engage and was largely ignored. Throughout my visit, I also felt out of place and unwelcome in the environment. There were repeated moments where I was aware of being looked at but not spoken to, which made it difficult to feel comfortable staying or participating. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and unwelcoming, and it did not reflect what I expected from an invited open house. Based on this visit, I would not recommend it to others.

If you're already pilot rated, this business offers aircraft cleaning, maintenance, and parking. My boyfriend is learning to fly so we tried this training center to add to his log. He bought an extra half hour which allowed us to go over Boulder Dam and the Strip despite Aviation Nation practice. I didn't have my usual fear of heights! I recommend this place if you want flight experience. Other companies use their flight simulator for interviews. The Cirrus (SR22?) we rode in was air-conditioned. It also has a parachute system. They also have a couple of Cessnas. They don't have financial aid available. Unlike the company we used in Hayward, we had to pay a fuel surcharge here. We skipped ground instruction outside of where to add fuel. We're doing pay-as-you-go because its too expensive to commit to being something like a certified flight instructor. You can make an appointment to fly anytime between sunrise and sunset.

They will use every trick in the book to lock you into a contract and have you put money down in advance toward your flight training and you're forced to follow their stupid syllabus, which drags your flight training forever. I personally started asking around the airport for alternative options and found a different flight school. Better instructors, friendlier environment, and of course you pay as you go without any syllabus nonsense. Happy flying!!

I did some training with an instructor in my local area but couldn't quite get the training across…read morethe finish line, so I decided to take some time off work and do nothing but flight school. Jamie was super helpful and flexible in arranging several days where we did nothing but flight training, and I passed my checkride on the first try. He was great at injecting surprises into my training that made me a better pilot. My favorite was when the engine "failed" on takeoff - nobody else had ever done that to me in almost 80 hours of training - and I'm grateful for the knowledge that I can handle any crisis. If I had it to do over again, I'd start off with Fly Accelerated training - just take the time off work and do the training all at once. You'll get it done faster and can broaden your experience with other planes later with local instructors easier than if you are trying to balance your work schedule and flight training and raising kids or whatever else you have on your plate. In the long run you'll save money if you just do it all at once, and Jamie is top-notch.

The aircraft we used was very old and seemed to have mechanical issues. Asking certain questions is a big no as Jamie will assert his, "know it all", demeanor and act offended. I have flown with better, more professional and more patient instructors. Also, safety is a big must and showing up late with a hang over is NOT good for business.

For my annual inspection, they paid close attention to the requirements and other needs for the aircraft.
