Executive Dog is conveniently located not far from my work, so we started bringing our Shepherd mix there a couple days during the week. Daycare days are the BEST days! My EXTREMELY HYPER dog literally gets home, eats, and puts himself to bed since he is so tired. As for the shop itself it has an indoor area and an outdoor area so the dogs get the best of both worlds, weather permitting. There is usually an "introductory" half day evaluation for new dogs to ensure that they get along with the existing pup crew that already goes there. You can really tell that Shelley & crew really genuinely care about them and want them to have a positive/fun experience. We have previously gotten our pup groomed and also boarded him there. The grooming is great - we drop him off for daycare, and take home a clean, tired, and happy pup (my favorite kind!). We boarded him Monday-Friday once and had a great experience. The lucky guy played with other dogs every single day, and came home very exhausted. Shelley was very flexible with our drop off and pick up times as our flights were at difficult times. Shelly does a great job on keeping her clients updated over email when there are things that could impact our normal schedules - such as closings due to Blizzards or her injury. We were all notified of the situation via email and kept in the loop of what she was doing to rectify the situation. As such, she had a previous employee of hers come back so that her shop may run as smoothly as possible during her recovery. It is unfortunate that Kevin (1 star review giver) did not email Shelly, as there is a "click here to email Executive Dog" link on the Executive Dog website [hint, hint]. Shelley is, and has always been, very responsive over email. I've always had an answer to my questions within a few hours of sending her an email. My dog has been in the care of the Executive Dog for the last 7 years, and she absolutely loves it. She gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot, and she can hardly wait to jump out of the car. When she gets home, she enjoys a great night sleep from a long day of play. The socialization with other dogs has been good for her. Shelley has not only cared for my dog at daycare, but she has cared for her during extended overnight stays as well. I'm hesitant to leave her in anyone else's care for an extended stay because she has many medical needs and requires several medications. Shelley has always done well in taking the extra care needed to care for my high maintenance dog in this way. They have always been available to care for my dog when needed, and it is also very easy to get a nail trim appointment too. I consider my dog to be a best friend, and I have no hesitation in trusting Shelley, Amy, and/or the Executive Dog with her care as well as with the care of any future pets. read more

I heard about some negative reviews of this place and as I'm not sure what happens after I leave my buddy behind- I know what I see when we pick her up and how she acts later at the house. They have the dogs interact with each other, and that has made my 3-year old lab react perfectly when other dogs are near her. I snuck by one time and without her seeing me, I observed her playing with the other dogs, and they all were having fun ( no mean faced dogs...) But on another note about these collars: my dog has her own shock collar, and it's never a problem to put it on her, and it keeps her from running into traffic near home. Truthfully, I've only used the collar once, after the beeping failed to work. Now, she goes without unless she needs a reminder and she simply wears it to keep her in control. If I use any button I simply beep her but most of the time, I just "show" her the remote and she listens. read more

Shelley and Ashley are the best. Their love of animals is boundless. I've been a customer for many years and have always had wonderful interactions. Shelly the owner is a sweetheart as is Ashley. My schedule is crazy and there's never been a problem if I'm running late or have to cancel at the last minute. I wouldn't bring Bella to any other groomer. Over just a few visits Shelly came to know how i likeed Bellas hair cut and never lets you down, adapting to different styles for different seasons and offering suggestions. Highly recommend Executive Dog..... As for the single star rating, I'm sure that this person wasn't aware that Shelley had fallen and has serious injuries that has kept her immobile for several weeks, and Ashley and the other support staff are doing their best to compensate....... read more

Shelley and the Team at Executive Dog have been providing excellent expert pet care for many years. We've used their services for 8 years and can't speak highly enough regarding our level of confidence and the peace of mind we enjoy whenever our dog Harry is there. During a recent human's accident that required the facility to shut down for a few days, Shelley reached out to each and every client explaining the situation and as soon as possible brought in a back-up team that continued to operate the business until the injured human could return and take over the reigns again. I have been a customer of the Executive Dog for five years and counting and I always refer friends to Shelley for doggie day care, grooming and overnight care. We have received exceptional and loving care from Shelley and all of her employees over the years. Both of our dogs get excited to see their Aunty Shelley and their Aunty Amy when they walk in. My Ellas full body wiggle says it all, she can hardly contain her excitement when I walk her to the front door! The other huge bonus is how amazingly clean the entire outside and inside of the facility is. Our dog Gracie has been going to Executive Dog for a couple years, 2 days a week. She loves it there, comes home tired (from playing) and happy (exactly what we want). She has a great time playing with the other dogs, so it's great exercise AND socialization. You do have to pick your day(s) of the week FYI, it's not a drop-in anytime kind of doggie daycare (this makes sure there is a consistent number of dogs, and that they all get along well). The hours and location are convenient for us, and the owner and staff members obviously love animals and take good care of them. We've moved one town away but prefer to drive back to this doggie daycare rather than switching. Great place! read more

Gypsy, my pug, has been with Shelley at daycare since she has been a 1 year old. Gypsy is now 8. There has never been a time that i questioned the care that Gypsy has received. She gets very excited when i ask her "Are you going to school?" She loves it there and i would never consider taking her anywhere else. Shelley has also taken Gypsy for me when i had to go out of town and it was an absolute relief for me knowing i did not have to worry about my baby! I do not hesitate when i say i highly recommend Executive Dog to anyone who wants the best care for their four legged family member. You won't find any better then Shelley and Amy! read more

I'm appalled at the story I saw on facebook re: a dog being mistreated at Executive Dog. My experience with Executive Dog for daycare and grooming has always been positive and in the matter of daycare, the treatment is superior. My dog went there for seven years, until he passed away last summer, and I can't wait till my new puppy is ready to go there in the spring. I tell everyone I meet about what a great place Executive dog is and how much it benefits a dog to spend even one day a week there to socialize with other 4 legged friends. My dog Kelly has been going there since she was 6 months old and she is now over 9 years old. Shelley and Amy are both true animal lovers and Kelly loves to go there. She is getting older, so I cut down on her schedule. Recently, I have had some family situations that require me finding more day care for Kelly. Shelley has been very accommodating. I have also had Kelly groomed there. They do a great job. I have used Shelley to help me troubleshoot issues before I go to the vet....ear problems, that type of stuff. Executive ROCKS!!! read more

My wife and I have been using Executive Dog for close to three years. Shelly, Ashley, and Amy do a great job maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our Gracie. She is exited to get there every day and exhausted when we pick her in the afternoon. My advice for all new dog owners- send your dog to a reputable doggie daycare like Executive Dog for at least a while to socialize the dog to other dogs. My dog has been going to Executive Dog for day care several times a week for over two years. There are safe processes in place, a great outdoor space for the dogs (with a little pool in summer!) and two large indoor spaces. Shelley and her crew are experienced.
