I have been going here now for a few years. This is an old-fashioned barbershop. They do traditional haircuts, shaves, beards, etc. I have never had a bad cut, and my son likes his haircuts here too. We get our hair cut by Royce, who does a careful job, takes his time, and always gives a good cut. You can grab a water or a beer from the fridge. Recently checked out Executive Room for the first time and was very impressed. Their professionalism and quality clearly show through. First, they take health and safety very seriously. They keep their small space adequately distanced and they all have the proper safety coverings to make sure their staff and customers are well protected. Second, their barbers are great at what they do. I had the pleasure of getting cut by G. He took my ragged hair back to its former glory (it had been 3 months since my last cut), making sure to ask a lot of questions on what I was looking for. We learned the hard way after moving from napa and having to come back every time after a haircut to have G fix whatever atrocity another barber back in davis inflicted. His prices are great, hes a cool dude, and is always personable. Robert has a mix of straight/super curly hair and G knows just how to tame it. Even though my cut wasn't complicated, Giancarlo was great in asking timely questions along the way to make sure he understood what I wanted, or to offer suggestions. The actual haircut was great. Got a great haircut in the middle of pandemic and that felt great. Royce was very good. As far as dealing with COVID, the place is kind of small so that's a bit concerning. For risk mitigation, they keep the doors open front and back to help with circulation and everyone's required to wear a mask. I suspect that this is a decent level of risk mitigation but I wonder if there's more that can be done. read more
