My wife and I were staying in nearby Yountville for the week. I got it in my head about 8 months ago that I wanted to grow my hair out. Yeah, not doing that again. Away from home but still wanting to chop the rats nest on my head, I searched and found Olde Town Barbershop. My new favorite barbershop in Napa. Located in Napa but also home to the old style shops with alcohol and ambiance. Upon arriving its roped off like your entering a movie event. Once inside you will find the old style charm. Honestly it's priced fairly well but kids are not allowed. The cut - super happy with the skin to fade. My hair grows funky in different ways but he managed to make it work. As I get older I have more white hairs so I try to make sure it's shaven so I appear younger lol. G is an excellent barber. I arrived on time, but he kindly asked me to wait for my appointment, as he was still working on a customer in his chair. G generously poured me a bourbon in a chilled glass, and as I waited, I observed the attention and care that he gave the person in his chair. An artist at work. I knew that if G would do this for that customer, I would get the same attention and care, and I was right. Not only did I get an excellent haircut and beard trim but he was an enjoyable conversationalist. The room had customers of all ages, from a young boy and his father, when I arrived, to an elderly gentleman being tended to as I was leaving. I must say this is not your average Barbershop. The atmosphere is too perfection. They have a classic, Vintage exquisite look. very great hospitality serving cold beverages for Moms that need it after a long work day. Lol Giancarlo was his barber. This was my son's first time cutting his hair after 10 years of growing it out. My son ended up getting cold feet and just got a taper instead. G Was very supportive with his decision he works very well with children. I definitely wouldn't look further for a barber. unfortunately we are an hour and a half away from him now but if I'm ever back in the area we would make a stop for a cut, atmosphere and amazing service. went to the shop on a Saturday hoping to get a walk in. went in and sat down as both barbers were working. i waited 10 to 15 minutes there before they told me they were all booked up. there were no other people waiting in the shop at the time. if I'm a barber, I'm never going to turn down a potential customer. I've lived in Napa for about two years now. Early on I went to many different barbers in Napa seeking "my new spot". Those include The Executive Room, Chateau, and Headlinez. They were all okay, I don't have anything bad to say about any of those places or the people, but I will say I didn't ever leave feeling completely satisfied for the price I was paying. Maybe it was due to the fact that I have longer hair, and felt they only knew how to cut one style. Fade, buzz, short hair. Non the less! Unsatisfied. At some point I decided to just give Super Cuts a try cause I was desperate, and didn't want to keep spending premium service rates for a sub par haircut. And I was right, I got about the same "okay" haircut at Super Cuts for half the price as the other ones. I felt like I just had to live with the fact that Napa just didn't have a good barber for my type of style. Everyone can do a fade, but that's not what I was looking for. A few weeks ago I got to talking with my friend about this topic, and he'd asked me if I had tried out Olde Town Barbershop. I hadn't, so I decided to go in. He told me to get a cut from the owner Giancarlo, but he was booked, so I got a cut from his Co-Worker, Jeremy. The vibe was immaculate, exactly what I imagined a good barbershop to look like. Old pictures on the wall, clean crisp style, a leather couch and some vintage sinks and chairs. I had high hopes. Jeremy was a great guy and was clearly very skilled with scissors. I was impressed, but felt that I didn't do well explaining what I wanted to him, and maybe explained to much of what I wanted (due to my past experiences of people doing nothing of what I asked for them to do) which I think led to him being a bit safer with my hair. And I'll have to say, I respect that. Instead of just doing what he thinks is good, he did what I asked, but just muted it so it didn't go too far. Which was refreshing. I left feeling unsatisfied once again, BUT I felt that I would give the owner another try because that's the barber I was told to go to, and I really like the place. A month or so past, and it was time for another haircut. Booked with Giancarlo, went in, and left with the best haircut I've ever gotten from someone. He knew exactly what I wanted, and knew how to work with my style. I only got the regular haircut too! ($40) He offers an hour long session, which I can only imagine would have tightened it even more so. But I'm happy with what I left with! After months in this desert of a city, I finally found a decent puddle to sip from. Great vibes, great cut, will definitely give Jeremy another shot too, because Giancarlo is usually booked up! Highly recommend to anyone with longer hair looking for a fresh clean up, but still trying to keep that length. read more

My 10-year old son has been going to Jeremy for a few months now and he has consistently had an experience. The haircut is always sharp and precise and the environment is appropriate for customers of ALL ages. My wedding planner said that she knew a guy and he's the best. We were in a pinch, the day before our wedding. Our wedding planner called Gian the owner/barber. She told him that I was an absolute mess, I was embarrassed how my hair looked and we were getting married the next day. Finally found time to get a great haircut by Giancarlo at Olde Town Barbershop. Easy location with street parking right in front or lot parking around the corner. Great decor in the shop and great tunes/movies playing. Had a short chat with G about what I wanted done, and off to work he went. He's a very personable guy and it was an easy chat. End result was a great cut on which I've already had many compliments. I'm just two days. I've found my new go to barber. Next time I will make time for a full beard trim in addition to the haircut.
