On this visit, I was getting ready for my godbrother's wedding. I asked for a low taper fade to keep as much length as possible, with a slight enhancement on the beard to give it a fuller look for the occasion. Cloyd executed it exactly how I envisioned it, clean, sharp, and event ready. My son also gets his cuts with him, so that should tell you everything right there. I asked for a tight mullet and had pictures to reference, and I'm not sure if the person I had has never done one before but I wish he would've said something before starting my hair. First off, it took an hour and a 1/2 to do my hair and second I was given bangs which I didn't ask for and lastly he lined the back up completely flat with no taper at all. I had to have my girlfriend fix everything when we got back home. I would've said to fix it there in person but I was already tired from sitting there for so long and it was so miserably hot in the building. read more

I thought it was time for me to find a new barber so I actually heard about this new shop that opened in Napa through social media. With me living in American Canyon, I figured I give this place a try. Driving to this location is an easy drive since there is shopping and food spots along the way. Once I got there I saw that a few people were already getting a haircut which is always a good sign. Everyone welcomed me at the same time and it felt nice to feel comfortable in a new shop. I sat down with Cloyd who I learned was actually the owner of the shop. He struck up a great conversation and he did a really good job on my fade. He was done in about 45 minutes and I was completely happy with my haircut. This place was a great experience, and I'll say the only small con is that the main street can get a little busy, so be careful when driving in and out of the intersection. I started seeing Cloyd when he was in Vallejo, he is great! Super nice and VERY meticulous with the cuts, and uber clean (surpassing CA BOB&C standards - which no one does). They communicate effectively about COVID standards and are very conscience of how they handle everything. I wouldn't go to any other barber shop, but he's also the only barber I would ever let cut my hair. Paradise is a clean, well run business. I had the pleasure of getting Reuben as my barber the day I went in. He was very professional and gave me the exact haircut I was wanting, even if I didn't realize it myself. I never know what to ask for when going into barber shops, I'm probably the worst customer. Oh just a little off here, and a 3 or maybe 2 or maybe 4 or maybe 5 on the sides, idk. But Reuben was very patient with me and gave me exactly what I wanted. Came out looking clean and fresh.
