This review is for two locations -first LaBrea & Fountain in Hollywood - I smashed my hand. Extremely pain. The nice but unqualified "nurse" had the guy put abrace on my arm beneath my hand. They sent me all the way to EXER in Silverlake- (my friend driving me) to have an URGENT- NO WAIT TIME - X-ray. This Silverlake crew should ALL be fired. The girl at the desk was friendly - but the three males were cocky & rude -made me wait 2 1/2 hours - verbally abusiva -X-ray tech took his 30 minute break - after I had been waiting over 30 min already - then after he was back they said I had to wait at least 30 min more - I called back to LABrea - they said they'd call. It didn't help. After 2 Plus hours the cocky guy took me in for X-ray which took less than 2 minutes. They did not give me e a report, a disc, absolutely nothing. They said I had to go back to LaBrea. No X-ray there -just a message I broke my "pinky" - This mid-diagnosis caused me horrendous pain -the next day I called Cedars Hand Specialists finally got an appointment for Tuesday. Finally got real X-rays. Scheduled for emergency surgery after pre-op tests. MAJOR SURGERY on bone in hand completely severed diagonally- now with plate, wires, bolts, clamps inside holding the two pieces together - third cast after first post op. STAY AWAY FROM SILVERLAKE. ONLU USE LA BREA FOR MINOR PROBLEM. EXER SHOULD CLOSE SILVERLAKE LOCATION. read more

The organization of this office and professionalism and courteousness of the staff far exceeded my regular doctor's office. I felt that my concerns were listened to and that I received the appropriate treatment. It was convenient and as pleasant as a trip to urgent care can be. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was absolutely unacceptable. My father came in experiencing shortness of breath, wheezing, and severe distress. He clearly explained his symptoms at the front desk, yet he was not triaged and was instead told to complete paperwork while visibly shaking and struggling to breathe. When I arrived shortly after, I found him hunched over, gasping for air, with no staff checking on him or monitoring his condition. Even more alarming, he went from being second in line to suddenly fourth, despite shortness of breath being a potentially life-threatening symptom. Since when is difficulty breathing not a priority? Had I not rushed him out of there and taken him directly to the ER, I honestly don't know how long he would have remained in that state. The ER staff took him in immediately because his oxygen levels were dropping dangerously low. This facility showed a complete lack of urgency, care, and basic medical judgment. I've used this Exer location before for my son's ear infections and had no issues--so when my 9-year-old daughter was doubled over in severe stomach pain in May, I brought her in. Unfortunately, this visit was very different. She was quickly diagnosed with a UTI, even after I explained that she had never experienced stomach pain like this before. I was reassured it was all due to the UTI and sent home with a prescription. Less than 24 hours later, I had to rush her to the ER, where the doctors immediately suspected appendicitis based on her symptoms alone. A CAT scan confirmed it, and she needed emergency surgery and spent 7 days in the hospital. I understand urgent care can't do full hospital diagnostics--but I do wish her symptoms had been more carefully assessed here. It may have spared my daughter unnecessary pain and distress from a delayed diagnosis. read more

I've been to this location 4 times. First visit and second visit was pretty standard. During my third visit, the employees forgot about me and had people who came in after me be seen until I had to remind them I was there. I was forgotten again even when I was placed in a room. It was extremely upsetting especially since it was a busy day and it was actually an urgent matter and I ended up spending 3 hours here. I don't like leaving negative reviews but didn't bother write one for any of those visits. Today I was seen by Maiya Roseff, PA-C and was really happy with my experience. I appreciated the level with empathy that provider had during my visit. I called ahead and fortunately there weren't any people ahead of me so I didn't have to wait to be seen and was in and out pretty quickly! I've been to Exer Urgent Care on Eagle Rock Blvd multiple times, and I'm so grateful to have them just a short walk from my apartment. While wait times can vary--especially since they typically have one front desk person, one triage nurse, and one provider working--they do an incredible job managing a high volume of patients with professionalism and care. It's important to note: they don't have an on-site X-ray tech like a previous owner once did, so if you need imaging, plan accordingly. But if what you need falls within the usual scope of urgent care services, they've got you covered. What really stands out to me is how kind and attentive the staff are, even when dealing with impatient or disrespectful patients. The triage nurse and provider here listen, offer solid medical advice, and treat you like a person--not just a number. I paid $215 just for the Dr to sit there and tell me there is not a lot to do. He sent some exercises and the printed examples were with a provisioner, when I asked if he was going to help me perform them (as the instructions said), they replied that I could do it alone. I've been a client of extra urgent care for over 10 years and I've gone to many of them. However this has been my best experience yet I recommend coming early. I got there right at opening and was taking immediately. It was me and one other girl and we both were seen Minutes after filling out our forms. The nurse was really sweet and the doctor was very knowledgeable after a few minutes of waiting after I did my test I got a diagnosis. They said they would follow up within 2 to 3 days to give me more info on my culture and they called me back within 24 hours having confirmed they prescribed me the proper medication. This location is far as superior to the one in Silverlake and far superior to the one in Sherman Oaks, I would recommend coming here opposed to either one of those two! I've been to this location 3 times and don't have anything negative to say. For the purposes that an Urgent Care is supposed to serve this location serves all purposes with high marks. Each time I have visited I've been treated well, and the care I've received I have been impressed with. Aside from quality care what impresses me the most about this location is even when they are busy they seem to move at a steady pace. You get the sense they aren't lazy, they have a streamlined process to see patients timely, it's rather impressive. So if you happen to arrive with a few people ahead of you, I wouldn't necessarily let that deter you from checking in. Wishing all good health though but if something does come up, I would consider coming here for care. read more

They made me an appointment over the phone which, upon arrival, they said they could not honor so the hours spent at home in pain were wasted and I was moved to the end of the line. this is no longer Eagle Rock Urgent Care - in the past 6 to 8 months it has been bought by Exer. I don't recommend coming here if you have any other option. I don't think staff are trained properly, rooms aren't sanitized or wiped down between patients, they just tore the paper cover on the table to a new piece and brought the next person in. front desk staff weren't trained to recognize and inform a man with a severe open evulsion injury to his finger that he needed to go to an ER, so he sat here bleeding for an hour before the PA walking through the waiting room eventually took pity and told him herself she can't treat that. I am in their email system and they sent out a mass email saying they're a source for Ozempic now, so I think that tells you what kind of scam operation you're dealing with when you come here for medical help. read more

I just visited this urgent care and to start I was waiting 40-50 minutes in the waiting room. There was an issue with my insurance (no fault to them) but they decided they weren't going to see me however they never let me know this. I walked in and they had no customers seemed like one patient in one room. As I sat there and waited the staff was too busy filling up the inventory instead of helping us. They are not friendly and they wanted to charge me $215 for one Covid test. Mind you I had been there the other day and they said they took my insurance. Claiming that the system doesn't work well on Saturday's. Apparently now on Wednesday they do not take my insurance and all of a sudden while I was in the room waiting for the Covid test results they came in and said well here is your bill from the last visit which was $945 , they did nothing but ran covid, flu and an rsv test to see what I had. That's $945 dollars? You can buy the test at the stores for under $60.00. Back to Wednesday, and although they had already taking the swab to test me they said they had not done anything with it and won't until I pay the $215 right now. I'm sorry but they could have told me that on Saturday. I would not have gone back. The service is mediocre but it's the closest one that use to take my insurance. Needless to say I won't be going there anymore. Honestly I do not understand how California doesn't have a better health care system for their citizens. I'm a care taker it's hard enough we make peanuts and on top of it the insurance sucks. Let me tell you about Saturday: On Saturday I was the first one there at 8am and it still took them about 23-25 minutes to get me in a room while the employees are in the room next to the waiting area laughing it up, just talking to each other like it was a party. They seem to always be refilling inventory but I didn't know it takes more than 3 people to restock a tiny urgent care. No wonder they have horrible reviews. Although on Saturday the girl at the front and the gentlemen helping me were much more friendlier than the staff on Wednesday. read more

My experience at this Exer has been amazing. The medical assistant that originally brought me into my room, Robert, was so kind and welcoming. He made me feel very comfortable to be in the room and started a conversation so I wouldn't be as anxious. I unfortunately don't have a general practitioner and needed medical help with preoperative tests. I arrived early morning when they were not too busy. They accomplished everything for me within an hour and a half. CBC, BMP and an EKG. I experienced excellent care as soon as I walked in the door from Elizabeth, Nora and Gaila Kenneally, DO. Let me say I had no other choice then to have to take my child here again thanks to our pcp on base not being available. If you have Tricare here don't go. When we went here I was told by receptionist that Tricare was only for active duty. ‍. I told her that's Incorrect. If you have Tricare or worked with Tricare you would know who Tricare covers. Now next if you have Tricare you know Tricare will only cover Covid test under specific DX with supporting MR. I explained that multiple times I even explained it to their billing department 3 times as I even verified with Tricare's billing department the DX that was the issue for the Covid test. . I myself work in billing, I verified with Tricare what was sent and they did nothing besides resubmit the same documents with minor changes and no changes to the DX. Now I get hit with a nice medical bill for their overpriced Covid test. Since Tricare did not cover. Now I have to submit myself to have Tricare review the claim with the appropriate documentation to support the need for the Covid test I didn't request, but was ordered by the doctor in office. They had no problem charging my card on file. **To active duty families don't go here. It will always be a billing issue and will overcharge due to being "OON" and the Covid test is billed incorrectly and you will have to pay for the test. read more
