Cannot recommend this place. Luckily we only needed to fill out a simple sports referral for school (which we never got to do because we waited too long), but I can't imagine how this would go if someone had an actual emergency. We had an appt, but there was still an excessive wait and a lack of consideration from the PA. We could hear her in the next room, laughing and chatting at length with someone. When asked by the kind MA when she might be done as there were other patients waiting for an hour, the PA said she was still in there and we could come back tomorrow. Nope. I went to Exer cause I was having a problem my shoulder it was caused me a lot of pain Maiya was the PA that helped me and she did a really good job. I was concerned. I had no range of motion. I was having pain. We did an x-ray. She explained to me everything that was going on and then I went in the waiting room and I actually had to come back with more questions and she was busy, but she actually took the time to explain to me words I didn't understand on the exam and I was really really happy with the service I received. The team at Exer Urgent Care really impressed me during my recent visit. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was incredibly friendly, and the facility itself was spotless. The nurses and nurse practitioners were supero; they took the time to thoroughly understand my eye infection and gave me excellent advice and the correct medication for it. To top it off, they even faxed my prescription to my local pharmacy immediately after the appointment. What is the point of making an appointment if they still make you wait over an hour to be seen by anyone?

Reception staff is kind and friendly, gets me checked in quick and always responsive to any questions or concerns. I've seen a few doctors here and they are very helpful in listening to my health issues and getting them addressed. Wait time was very minimal but staff feels as if they couldn't give 1 singular crap about you.... Everyone speaks extremely monotone and in short as possible answers. Will do anything to get you in and out quickly with very little care about what you may actually need to heal. This place is a joke. Came in for contact dermatitis that was not responding to topical steroids. The nurse - not a doctor - prescribed a super low dose of the wrong oral steroid, sent it to the wrong pharmacy, which was closed. There is no way to contact anyone at any of these urgent care facilities and I had to wait until the next morning, to find that the medication was not what I needed. read more

The doctor comes in for 3 minutes tops, leaves and says the nurse will be here in a moment to help you. How "Dr." Suarez still has a medical license is baffling to me. He is by far the MOST disrespectful, unprofessional, and ignorant human being I have ever come across. To the point where we believed we were on a hidden camera prank show. Dr. Suarez's tone IS dismissive, leaving us feeling undervalued as a patient. Additionally, the way he spoke very closely in my face made me uncomfortable, impacting my ability to communicate my concerns effectively. A respectful distance and a more empathetic approach would have greatly improved our interaction. I left the office without finishing my visit because of Dr. Suarez's rude, disrespectful tone. I came in with a sore throat I have been dealing with for over 10 days now and my concerns were immediately dismissed as "allergies" by Dr. Suarez without asking any follow up questions. He began to scream at me when I politely asked him "could it be something else besides allergies?" He aggressively threw his chart on his desk and said "if you want antibiotics I will do that, I don't care". That was very odd because I never mentioned anything about antibiotics. On the contrary, I despise antibiotics. After getting a second opinion on my health issue later on in the evening, allergies was NOT the diagnosis, but I had strep throat. His careless ways has caused me a lot of distress. Save your time and stay FAR away from this place. We have already filed a complain with the board. read more

I really enjoy this urgent care. The wait is not too much. The staff are very professional. The actual office and exam rooms are clean. The staff is very attentive to the patients concerns. Also people waiting are seen in an orderly and organized manner. I enjoy going to this place when something out of the blue happens and I can't get an appointment easily at my regular doctors office. I have been here a couple of times for different things. Both times I had great experiences. Dr. Raffi was excellent. Professional, got things figured out better than my PCP and got me healed up fast. PA Maiya was awesome. I have had sinus issues for years and neither my PCP's or ENT's ever did tests to see if my issues were viral or bacterial. They just assumed bacterial and prescribed me stuff. She took the time and effort to get it tested and then prescribed what I needed. She called back over the next days to see how I was. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Dr. Suarez is the most unprofessional and rude doctor of all time. I don't understand how he even has his medical license. I went in there because I had a lingering cough for eight days and at the time everyone around me was getting bronchitis, So I wanted to go in there and get my lungs checked out. when Dr. Suarez walked in, he didn't even ask me any questions and he quickly came to the conclusion that I had allergies. He prescribed me three different allergy medications which I didn't even bother taking. Stay away from this place and stay away from this doctor. He doesn't know anything he's talking about. Place is empty yet I had to literally wait over an hour so I decided to leave. Ridiculous

The doctor was great, and the visit was quick and efficient and helpful. But the staff was so rude and cold and just downright mean to us. We were the last appointment but came a half hour before it closed. They barely spoke to us, but when they did, they were cold and bitchy. My son was there for a possible concussion, and they could not have been ruder in a moment of stress. The real kicker was that my husband waited in the waiting room, while we were in with the doctor. They proceeded to talk badly about us in Spanish the whole time we were in the room, thinking that my husband (who is fluent) couldn't understand them. So rude. read more

I was told I had to pay $90 (even with PPO insurance) prior to even getting on the wait list to see a doctor... and then I never actually saw one. I saw a PA, who only came in after I saw her and the receptionists shooting the shit in the lobby. Paid $90 for her to do a 1 minute exam, confirm my health issue / complaint, and tell me to go see a specialist. I never write reviews but this place is so bad I had to. He only checked my heart beat and then told me info I already found online. I came to the freaking urgent care for help or tests to figure out the problem. I went in this morning for a lingering cough of over 8 weeks and what seems to be hives or bug bites thinking it may have been a mold encounter. Only things they kept suggesting was to take a Covid test. Anything I would ask, they would suggest a Covid test and the nurse came in after I refused the pointless covid test telling me the Dr discharged me and I was free to go. He checked my ears, throat and I told him my concerns and all he could tell me was to take a Covid test for a lingering cough of OVER 8 weeks. I asked the doctor to come in after my discharge papers were given to me, he said well it's a free country if you don't want to take the Covid test I'm not gonna force you to. I clearly told him I was there for something else and not at all did it have anything to do with Covid or Covid symptoms. Waste of my time. Google would've given me better answers. It's like they try to diagnose you on the "trending" diagnosis at the time. Ridiculous. Oh yes. I was just taking a look at my visit summary, it said my diagnosis for my visit was contact with and (suspected) exposure to Covid when I specially told him several times that it had nothing to do with that. Also the DR would not be standing 4 inches away from my face(literally) with his mask under his nose if that was my case. read more

After I had a bad experience at a different urgent care in La Canada I came here and this Dr listened and tested me for flu Covid and RSV and I was finally able to get the care I needed for RSV . First, I want to give a loud shout out to the staff: from front to back of office. For me, they were timely (didn't have to wait to be acknowledge upon entry) and were polite and personable with friendly business voices and eye contact. Gosh, I wish I had her name, but there was one physician's assistant who absolutely gave a yeoman's job. Here's what she did. They needed a urine sample from my mom. My mom is very elderly and she cannot give urine on command. She is incontinent, so she wears adult diapers. In addition, she has tremors. Holding a cup in order to urinate would likely end up with urine all over the floor. This woman spent about 20 minutes in the restroom with my mom. She helped my mother take off her diapers, which were quite soiled. She offered to hold the cup for my mom, but my mom gave it the ol' college try and finally was able to give enough to be able to analyze. This worker then helped my mom put a clean pair of diapers on. Obviously, a situation would be embarrassing for any patient, as it was for my mom, but she was made to feel comfortable. There was no hint of impatience for the length of time or expression of face in regards to the soiled diaper. I wish all good things for this person Now, for the critique. I say this not as a gotcha to the doctor, but as a teaching moment. I hope this doctor will not be so arrogant to think he is above any improvement, especially when it comes from a non-medical person. I am satisfied with the care and dialogue we had with her. My problem was with how he first engaged with us. I know how things work. A nurse or physician's assistant will take some vitals and ask some question to get an idea of what to tell the doctor prior to seeing the patient. That happened. I also know that doctors will come in and ask the patient why they are in the office. So, all that happened, But, when this doctor came in, there was no greeting or introduction. I couldn't even tell if she was the doctor. He came in and merely said something along the lines of "What's going on here?" Well, jeez, you were already told. The tone of his voice and the initial verbal questions actually made me think that he was a doctor who went into the wrong room. To make sure, I actually said, "Didn't anyone tell you why we're here?" He said, "I like to hear for myself." Well, I DO get that, but this is how the examination should have started: "Hello, I'm doctor XX. Who am I speaking to? Nice to meet you. I've been told a little about why you are here, that it has to do with blood in the urine. Correct? Tell me more. How did it all start?" THAT is how you start an examination. Establish rapport, show some empathy, explain what information you want from the patient and why, and then on to the Q and A. All this is service provider to customer 101. Loan officers, store managers, school principals, lawyers, etc should all know that. And, yes, doctors, too. So, in reading some of the reviews, I see that we were not alone in feeling unimportant. I have deliberately not given the doctor's name, for I'm not wishing to pile on. I merely hope the doctor will take this for what it is and endeavor to work on his doctor/patient dialogue. They call what you do a medical practice. Well, this is something you need to practice on. This is being written to be of help to you, just as you were a help to us - and your diagnosis certain was. Time management sucks. It takes 3-4 hours just to be seen by a provider for simple flu symptoms and medication rx. Always delays, before coming just consider you have to wait at least a hour more than you will be told. even check in before and have ready everything for the your time will not change the staff time management, the provider will always come 1-2 hour later. read more
