Jacob Nordvall, with Voyager Construction LLC & Lutsauna, built and shipped a sauna from his…read morelocation in Minnesota, according to a signed agreement/estimate. Unfortunately, he delivered a non-functional sauna. The door sensor - required for safety by the heater manufacturer - did not worked from day one. This door sensor is required for both the heater to function and for the sauna lights to function. In addition, Mr. Nordvall failed to install ventilation of any kind in the sauna (also a violation of standard safety instructions, per sauna guidelines & per discussions with the representative for IKI, the heater manufacturer). Mr. Nordvall admitted the mistakes and agreed to correct the problems. However, he repeatedly failed to follow through with his commitments. New dates & expectations were set again and again. Mr. Nordvall missed them all. He did nothing. Eventually, I asked him to please honor a deadline to fix the sauna by February 28, 2025 (more 11 months after he had delivered the dysfunctional sauna. He agreed. I didn't hear back from him until I reached out 2 weeks before the deadline and was told he needed more time. Trying to be patient and understanding of his circumstances, I extended again, this time to April 1, 2025 (more than 1 year after delivery). He has subsequently stopped responding to any and all communication. He has fraudulently delivered a dysfunctional product and failed to demonstrate the honesty and professionalism to correct his mistakes.

Handrail. We purchased a handrail from Thatcher for the salt water hot tub. In less than 3 years…read morethe handrail broke because of rust. We were informed the warranty was no longer in effect. Hoping there might be some consideration for purchasing a new replacement - there was no offer and it was suggested we call the manfacture. The manfacture only interacts with dealers. Thatcher's response when asked about our options of purchasing another, better quality handrail - was "we don't have other options and don't sell many handrails". It was a frustating. We pruchased a handrail that fastened to the steps for $50 vs our Thatcher handrail that had a plate that slid under the tub for $300. Given our experience, the $50 is a better design for less $$$. Other Experiences. Our other experiences - purchase, install, maintenance have been good, no problems/concerns.
