My wife and I got married at the Seacoast Science Center last month. We ordered a dance floor, chairs, tables, linens, napkins, bowls, and trash cans from Exeter. They have a lot to choose from, and the prices weren't bad. Exeter was willing to change our order when we needed to, and we got some discounts. They were amazing at setting up and breaking down what we needed, and our ceremony and reception venues looked great! The Exeter showroom is also nice. There was some staff turnover during our planning process, and it seemed that unfortunately some paperwork and details did slip through the cracks in the transition. The first person we worked with was fantastic, knowledgeable and very responsive. The second person was less so. We made a CAD layout of what the venue/tent should look like, but then our rep sent the incorrect layout to the delivery crew. Luckily, the guys intuitively knew it wasn't right and didn't start setup until they had procured the correct one from us. We appreciated their experience working events at the SSC, and we still ended up getting what we needed and had a wonderful wedding day, which was great. read more

We used Exeter Events & Tents for our wedding this past weekend outside of Portsmouth. They were extremely professional to work with and everything was delivered on time and as ordered. I would HIGHLY recommend working with them in the future. We rented a Sperry sailcloth tent for our 220 guests and it really was stunning. It was like walking into a dream. The guys did a great job setting it all up. Everything went very smoothly, and our questions were always promptly answered along the way- we were able to add on items and each time received a full invoice- I never felt that we were being "upsold" at anytime for anything. We rented pretty much all of our items from them- the tent, tables, chairs, linens, plating, bar ware, grills, griddle, serve ware-- everything arrived clean and undamaged. Really poor customer service. Ashley, who works in the party rental department, twice did not e-mail a requested quote to me so I had to call back and request it again. One of her colleagues ended up sending me the quote since she didn't. The second time, after leaving a message asking her to call me and please e-mail me the quote I requested (a week after I requested it), she never sent the estimate and never called me back. They have great stuff to rent but how can I rent it if you don't get back to me? read more

I helped an out of town bride and groom plan their destination wedding at Ragged Neck Point in Rye State Park. We worked with Emily from Exeter Tents and she was very helpful. There is an element of challange when planning a destination wedding, so there were some communication struggles in the begining, but once we got past that, it was smooth sailing. The only glitch we had the day of the wedding was that a piece of the dance floor was missing when I arrived onsite. I was confused, because I had gotten the call hours before that confirming that everything was delivered. I called them when I arrived and they said it was on the wrong truck and would be delivered in a 'couple hours'. I told them I had 40 minutes before guests arrived so it needed to be there in 30 minutes. It was. But I am not sure why it wasn't mentioned when I got the call saying everything was delivered. read more

Highly recommend!! We used Exeter Events & Tents to rent pretty much EVERYTHING for our backyard wedding in June - tent, lights, dance floor, tables, chairs, flatware, dishware, glassware, grills, etc. They were extremely responsive, answered my many many questions with no impatience at all, and had so much inventory available to choose from. We got a sailcloth tent which looked SO beautiful - our guests were commenting all night - and the cafe lights were the perfect soft lighting that set such a nice mood. Quality of everything was great, and the guys that came to set up and take down in the blazing heat were awesome as well- they work incredibly hard! All in all, great company that I would definitely use again for a future event. read more

I have tried to obtain a quote from this company for 2 weeks now. First an email to inquire than at least 3 phone calls on my behalf trying to get somebody/anybody on the phone. And after multiple machine messeges left never a call back. Not looking great for them... Ill be happy to take my business elsewhere. read more

One of the absolute worst experiences I've EVER had as a customer was dealing with these people at Exeter Rent-All. First of all, they act as if they are doing you a favor for allowing you to do business with them. Bob, who I believe is the owner, should not be allowed to deal with the public. He is not very friendly and worst than that; not trustworthy. Because I'm currently dealing with a manufacturer that this store represents on a complaint concerning a purchase I made here, I won't get into specifics or details but this is a shop you want to avoid at all costs. Trust me. I'm not lying. I've been told by a few of the local contractors who are doing some work for me that these guys have a bad reputation with the local builders but I learned that too late. Don't make the mistake I made. Go elsewhere! read more

Exeter Tents was amazing!! We hired them for our wedding in Hampton, and they provided our tent and all rentals. We had a very unique setup, and they sent someone out twice to help us configure the best spot for the tents to be installed. We made a ton of changes to our order throughout the process, and our coordinator Lauren C was incredibly helpful. The day of the setup and breakdown went extremely smoothly, and the tent looked amazing. Can't thank you guys enough! Definitely consider Exeter for your next event, I'm so glad we did! read more

We would l like to submit a review on our amazing experience with Exeter tents, and rental supplies. We worked with Lynsie throughout our experience and had absolutely excellent customer service and friendly service with her! We ordered supplies to create the event of our dreams, and boy was it ever! From the farm tables, to the clear tent, to our white dance floor, to the wine barrels, we were absolutely thrilled with everything!!! Al, the tent construction lead came all the way up to York Harbor during torrential down pours to set up the tent, and he and his amazing team had amazing energy! Their contagious energy helped my wife and I to gain huge excitement for our "Maine" event! On a personal note we were so pleased with Exeter tents warm welcome towards my wife and I planning our wedding in a once seen as "untraditional marriage." I would never use or recommend this company Exeter Rent All to anyone ...They have the worst customer support that I have experienced from Sara to Ashley and even to the owner Michael...all were useless in resolving all my issues with them from the start..they don't even have the respect to get back to you ..I left numerous voice mails and emails to them and no reply..Once they have your deposit and money they ignore you. I would recommend Marshall tents if you need a reliable and customer friendly tent and party rental company. They screwed up my event from the day they took my deposit to a week later when the tent was setup ...They called me twice after I charged the entire thing on my credit card to ask when I could pay the balance...explained to them I paid the entire bill when I booked it...then they were supposed to meet me to make sure they could fit the size tent I rented and what I needed for stakes and weights..I called to confirm they would meet me that night..I gave them my cell to call me and would be there in 5 minutes time.....never called and I waited around for them. They came to set it up and I told the morons setting it up that I wanted it 8' high when they asked about 6' or 8' height..Told them I wanted it up against the building and would need to be 8' to clear the doors on the building..Then I got a call from the on Friday afternoon about having to call dig safe to make sure that they could install the tent stakes there...I was never told that I had to contact dig safe for this...it was Friday afternoon and the funeral was Saturday AM...no way dig safe was going to be out there that day...they got the ok from the venue to install them as they had used Marshall rentals prior with a tent there... When I got back they had left and only had it 6' high and 3 feet from the building so the doors could be opened...I called Sara on Monday about how disgusted I was with the entire ordeal with her company and she said her boss was out and would call me back next day..2 weeks later no call back..Left her 2 more VM's and an email...Called the company and asked to speak with the owner Michael since I didn't have my deposit refunded 2 weeks after the event...He was as useless as his employees and now I see why they all are like they are..all he said was sorry that I felt that way after I went through all of the above..oh and that my deposit was credited on Friday since he was following it due to my nasty email last week...I still don't show it as posted and if it's not showing by tomorrow I will be calling back again... Do yourself a favor and don't use Exeter Rent All if you want to save yourself aggravation...I only used them since Marshall was all booked for that weekend.. read more
