Definitely a keeper! It's often hard to find good places to eat that are convenient to truck parking, so I always take a chance when I find one...I'm glad I did! Great BBQ and the sauce pairs really well with...well...everything! Interesting ideas too...for example I tried a "potato dog" which turns out to be a hot dog sliced in half and filled with potato salad. Sounds odd, but with some sauce on top of was amazing! We were driving from Nashville through Memphis and I was looking for food along the freeway that wasn't fast food. I found this place on google maps and it got pretty good reviews. We ordered a plate of ribs and it was delicious. The ribs were so tender and the spicy sauce added a nice touch. Probably the best ribs I have had and definitely worth the stop. read more

Went on laborday so there was a limited menu, but that just helped me make my decision quicker. Got a bbq sandwich, coleslaw and spicy sauce. Was really filling even at regular size (and well priced too, 5$ for reg, 6$ for jumbo). Really good quality pulled pork, variety of piece sizes, all nice and juicy with no dried out stringy bits. I dont normally get coleslaw on it but i'm glad i did because it pairs really well with their spicy sauce. If you're getting this as part of a road-trip, go smaller if you're driving, because a bigger serving will get you wanting a nap (in a good way, if you dont have to worry about staying awake). I saw the review for Exit 87 in a men's magazine while in Dallas. Knowing that we would be traveling through Jackson on our way to East Tennessee, we planned to stop and I am so glad we did. Our timing was perfect. We had the pulled pork and potato salad. I tried the spicy sauce and my husband had the sweet sauce. The pork was flavorful and tender. Both of the sauces were quite good. Found this on yelp looking for great BBQ and were not disappointed. The place really is a stand on the side of a truck stop gravel parking lot - but sooo worth a stop. It was delicious and very affordable. I got the BBQ plate with sweet sauce and had so much food I couldn't finish it. The slaw was good and the potato salad was super goood! The pile of Q pork was perfectly done and not dry, had good smoke flavor and aroma and the sauce was also very nice. read more

Love the character and service wonderful and pleasant We got mild sauce, I should of asked for sauce on the side so I could Savour the flavor of ribs more and dip sauce amount to my liking. By far the best BBQ I have had in Tennessee. We went 20 minutes out of way from Tupelo Mississippi to Nashville in the rain to try this place. It was completely with it. As a former owner of a BBQ place I am always looking to find good Q but unfortunately it's a daunting task.I will say the pulled pork was excellent as was the service, generous portions and reasonbly priced.The drawback to me was the fact the sides were store bought and not made on site.The sweet sauce they offer is Sweet Baby Ray''s from a bottle.I always made everything from scratch even handcut fries at my restaurant and am always let down when places don't do the same.I know they would have a phenomenal business if they would just improve on these things.That being said,my suggestion would be to eat there but only buy the meat by the pound or order just a sandwich and you will be pleased. read more
