Some long-time stains (my car has black interior so you can see everything) were gone and my car looked and smelled great. Still does! I am having a hard time describing just how incredible this interior detail job was. Over the course of the last couple of months I have used my car extensively to clean out an apartment as well as a storage unit. Dozens upon dozens of trash bags have been hauled in my car as well as dirty cardboard boxes and dusty heirlooms. Additionally I have had my two dogs in the car, quite a bit, as well. There fur is short, dance, and slightly coarse. In other words, it's sticks to everything. EVERYTHING. Not to mention, it is the middle of winter, so therefore the interior is dirty from ice salt and melted snow grime. While the interior of my car did not look like something from a mad Max movie, it was pretty close. However, after Steve returned it to me it sparkled. Literally, it looked better than the day I drove it off the car dealership, brand new. He was an excellent communicator, letting me know when he was leaving his shop, letting me know when he got to my office, letting me know when he was on his way back. From start to finish, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking to have the interior of the car detailed. He also washed the car before he returned it, even though I only paid to have the interior detailed. That was awesome. read more

I am very impressed with EXL, I did the "Essentials" package and it totally worth it! I didn't clean the interior since last winter, and it was really messy. The leaves and snow stains were there for almost a year. I tried to clean them by myself with vacuum, but it didn't work at all. Then I found EXL on Internet. I dropped vehicle Friday noon and picked up Saturday (the job was done by Friday night). I was surprised when I saw the car: the exterior was cleaned and shining with a layer of paint sealant; the whole interior was cleaned include dash, console, panels, and leather seats. I had stuff in my car and they were carefully stored in a sealed bag during the cleaning. Unlike other business in Iowa City area, I think Steve takes his business very serious. I had car detail with another detailing place at east Iowa city before, and their work was rough. But EXL did a great job! I am going to tell this business to my friends. I just picked my van up from Steve and to say that I am happy with it is such an understatement. I dropped off a van with a seat full of vomit, chocolate melted onto another seat, a solid six or seven years of food dropped by small children and ground into the carpet, and overall just a nasty vehicle. It was so bad that my ex-husband used to call it a dumpster on wheels. I just picked up a vehicle that is probably the cleanest it has been since the day I purchased it. No yucky smells, stains vanished, super clean and very pleasant to drive again. Will absolutely be bringing all of our vehicles here to be cleaned up. read more

Steve did a great job on Jeep Compass, it looks better than new, smells clean but not over powering. Removed the dog hair and the stains a wet dog leaves. He picked up the vehicle and returned it when he said he would. Price was very reasonable, very easy to deal with via email & texting. Steve did an amazing job on one of my cars. It brought it to him with an incredible amount of dog hair in the back and the car was filthy overall.This car was my girlfriends car which was used to transport out 100 lb German Shepherd. But Steve and his team killed it, the car looked better than brand new and he gave me an incredible and reasonable price for that service too. In addition Steve also helped me with paint correction and installing ceramic coatings on my cars too, his level of attention and care is out of the world. For the most part I am pleased with how my car turned out. The inside of the car is back to smelling clean and he was able to get most of the dirt out of my seats. My only complaint is the lack of attention to detail. There were many spots all over my center counsel that noticeably dirty still. I had to fix these areas when I got home as they bothered me too much. With that said the service was timely and the pricing is pretty fair. I would still recommend his services. read more

Steve did an absolutely wonderful job on our Hyundai. By far the most impressive thing was the removal of a giant, well set, coffee spill stain on the front passenger seat. All "evidence" was totally removed and there is no sign of a spill remaining. We also have a medium shedding dog, and there are no signs of hair in the car. The exterior also looks great, especially the headlights which were getting a little cloudy but now are very clean. The whole car looks like it is showroom new!
