The manager pointed out the most expensive freshwater small (for now) fish, an electric blue jack Dempsy ($35) and said it was a great starter fish, that it's fine in a 20-gallon tall tank, and would be great partners with a school of glo-tetras. Well as expected they killed him not a day later. Turns out this fish is aggressive and gets up to 8 inches which needs a MUCH bigger tank. Returning fish is sketchy at best here. You need to bring in water and the dead fish, which I understand. They then take it back behind the tanks to run the tests, so who knows what is being said in regards to how your water is testing. I wouldn't trust if the blonde guy would do it because he's said such untrue info on fish to me before. If you try to contest or argue that you want to see it they say they cant bring it out. This has happened several times, to the point where I'm done. Which is a shame. They have a decent collection of fish there, and the GM Doug is super nice. Sadly I'm pretty sure he is one of two nice people there. The rest just don't seem to care.

Don't go here to buy worm or any other type of reptile food. I went in today and bought a 50 count…read moreof wax worms. It cost me over $8 after tax and I get home to see there is only 26 worms in the container. Not only is there 26 when I payed for 50 but three are dead. So out of a 50 count I got 23 worms my lizards will be able to eat. Very upset to see this.

And the Groomer employee first what happened with the employees is very despicable…read morejust to save the company a few dollars what had happened was I went to purchase a fish tank the accessories as well as the filtration and the fish there was a sale on by fish and fish tank 50% off as I was going to proceed on getting the fish. The employee mentioned I could not get the discount because they will not sell me the fish until the next day because they had to come and test the pH balance in the water before allowing any fish in my fish tank! I explained are you serious? They had no joke on their face and they were absolutely serious. I was a little upset, so yes, I agree that I argue with them for a good five minutes. I even showed up a Google picture explaining that was not true. This employee explained their company required this so I left the facility with only the fish tank and filter with accessories. When I arrived home, I put the water in with the filtration and tested the water to make sure it was all ready for fish. Everything passed the next day after searching for other information about the fish being in my water less than 24 hours which proved they were very incorrect. The ladies were still there and I still had animosity because I couldn't get my sale and they were very immature how they spoke to me. I'm not selling you. I'm at 100% perfect lady, but I know how to treat people with respect being that Chow Hound the only place in town I can get fish for my grandson for his birthday. I continue to get the fish, but I tell you one thing right now I will never! Ever! Purchase or spend one more dime at my cost at this Chow Hound company anywhere in the world and with the Grooming I was very unsatisfied. My dog was noticeably untouched with grooming, clippers her hair was still very damp, and her cause her nails were the exact same to be have gotten overcharged basically doubled what I pay now at this other groomers I should have never wasted my time going to Chow Hound's and I recommend nobody ever goes there unless employment changes hands. Groomers need to be up to par and at least know what they are doing before trying to over charge. I was so correct on this issue. I was called and set a free appointment to have him groomed for free, which still does not help. Pet owners beware. I will only write one star because there is no option for no stars.

He was happy, healthy and beautiful. He is now three years old and I love him more every day. My puppy barbecue was a wonderful, beautiful little puppy and is now full grown, and still as happy as the day I received him. I will always check back with this place first before I buy my next puppy which I hope is a while because I hope barbecue gives me many many more years. he's my best friend and I take him everywhere

Employees are tasked with picking up their assigned litters and trying to sell them. We viewed a golden retriever. She was absolutely terrified from a lack of socialization. Literally "pancaked" herself to the floor and urinated all over herself. Anyone who knows a golden retriever, knows that the behavior shown isn't normal. This place is keeping the customer from being able to see the conditions where these dogs are raised and the conditions of the adult breeding dogs.
