I bought this as a gift for my fiance and was told I would receive an email when they were in the area. I never got an email so I called their customer service. She said I could still use the gift card and just keep checking for upcoming dates in my area. Every time I checked, it showed no dates scheduled. This went on a while so I finally asked if I could get a refund or if I could redeem at a different location. I was told this time that my gift card was expired and they couldn't do anything. They had no interest in trying to remedy the situation. Never pay up front for services from this company. Once they have your money, they do not care about fulfilling their obligation. read more

While the price was affordable and the staff was very humble, I was severely disappointed with the driving experience. They tell you over and over again you get to drive "as fast as you want" yet when I got in the car it was an entirely different story. 1) I was told I had to keep the car in second gear the entire course. 2) I couldn't use my own lines on the course. I kind of understand this to a degree with safety, however the instructor had me early apex every single corner even the last which was specifically a late apex corner. 3) There was a big dip in the road on the short straight so you had to let off the gas just to prevent from scrapping the bumper. 4) I felt like if the instructor heard the tires he would freak out. You weren't allowed to push the car to the limit of the car, or your personal limit as I was promised. When my GF got to drive she got told to keep her car in automatic mode. Both of us have years of experience auto crossing and driving much faster cars at faster speeds. They really need to do a better job of determining the experience level of their clients so they can hold up their promise. If you are someone who just wants to drive a supercar and learn to drive it safely this is for you, if you want to drive a supercar and learn what the car can actually do I would not recommend. read more

This has to be the best gift I could have given my husband for Christmas. This is a man that has all the tools, model train stuff,clothes he could want . He does not wear ties or suits......so what do you get? A chance to drive care that is FAST!!!!! Thank you so much for making this possible. This is not some driving and talking about the and fast it can go, this is YOU getting to drive it their awesome staff tells you what to do and how to handle it. There are packages you can choose from this is laps around the track.....but.. why stop there. They also have packages to choose from that allow you to have a driving experience on the open road. We had a large group and even though I know they're on a tight schedule they never made us for a second feel rushed. We were able to take pictures in and around all of the cars and they were more than happy to be our photographer for us when needed. Recently I did the Malibu driving experience and had an absolute blast! The cars were incredible - a Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 458, and Chevy Corvette. There is nothing quite like the feeling of driving an exotic super car alongside the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean or winding through lush green canyon roads filled with wildflowers. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable and made sure each driver was comfortable with each car prior to departing. I would highly recommend these guys, you won't regret it! read more

This was honestly the coolest experience I've ever had! I feel like everyone has a fantasy of driving a really fast, really expensive car and Exotic Auto gives you that opportunity. Even if you're unsure and inexperienced, which I was, it's no big deal because they will show you what to do and drive you around until you're comfortable. After that you get to drive as fast as you want! The guys that work there are so friendly and helpful, and most importantly patient with beginners. This was definitely a bucket list type of experience that everyone should do. This is a mixed review. I got a great deal on Groupon so I can't complain too much. We were promised 30 minutes each in three exotic cars: a Lamborghini, a Ferrari, and a "mystery" third car which the guy who runs the business implied would be an Aston Martin DB9 - but which turned out to be a Corvette, as if that is "exotic." I can drive a Corvette at any dealer in America, so that felt like a bit of a rip-off, but driving the other two cars were great. On the other hand, the cars were not super clean: they could have used a good exterior wash and interior detailing, but whatever, 507 hp on PCH and in the Malibu canyons is a roaring good time! The other rip-off were the photos, which were an expensive add-on, but in the end there only like 3-4 of them, hardly worth $40 or whatever the up-charge was. When I complained, I got no response, so mixed reviews on the customer service. All in all, a mixed bag: my girlfriend and I had a GREAT time driving 2 of the 3 cars, but there were a few details that could have made the experience better. I can certainly recommend the experience -- just don't expect it to be A+. read more
