It's a fun exhibit for dinosaur lovers. Upon entering, you feel immersed back to the Jurassic period. The decorations are spot on and the dinosaurs are very realistic looking. It is a bit expensive for what it is. Tickets are $27.90 for adults and $21.90 for kids. There is a $2 processing fee PER ticket. They even charge for parking. $15 for VIP parking right in front of the building and $5 for across the street. Honestly, for the price of the tickets, parking shouldn't even be charged and even so, the one across the street should be free. Upon entering, we checked in and walked through the exhibit. The dinosaurs for the most part are all animatronic and they do roar. They do look really realistic and expensive so I can see why the tickets are priced that way. The exhibit was smaller than I expected. There is an interactive room in the middle with a virtual aquarium. You can throw balls and the screen will respond. That was the best part of the exhibit and was a hit with the kids. After that, there is a gift shop, rides, photo op, fossil sand dig, VR, and an interactive coloring activity. For the coloring activity, there's different dinosaurs to choose from to color, you can scan it, and the dinosaur will appear on the screen. That was fun and the first time I've ever seen something like that. Tip: make sure the coloring is dark and I mean really dark or else the colors won't show. There are 2 dinosaur rides at the end. The small one is $4 and the big one is $6. It runs for about a minute. My son did the small one and it just went up and down. There are signs with information about the dinosaurs. It was interesting to read all the facts. I learned a lot and there were some fun facts that referenced the Jurassic Park movies. The website to book tickets isn't very user friendly. I had a promo code but then missed entering it when checking out. My friend did the same. There were just too many prompts during check out. Overall a good place for dinosaur lovers to experience. It's good for a one time experience or if you really love dinosaurs. It is dark and the roaring is a bit loud so some kids may be scared. My 4 year old was intimidated at first but he did enjoy it.

If your kids are into dinosaurs, *Dinos Alive* is definitely worth checking out! The exhibit is engaging and interactive, with a fun scavenger hunt to keep things interesting as you explore. We spent about 1 to 1.5 hours here, which felt like the perfect amount of time to see everything without rushing. The setup is great for families, with clean bathrooms and a few benches to sit on if needed. At the end of the exhibit, there are some fun activities for kids, like coloring, sandboxes with fossil digging, and a few mini "rides." There's also a small gift shop for souvenirs. Parking is reasonable -- $10 for the lot, or you can park across the street for just $5. Overall, a fun, low-key outing that's perfect for a family day out. Highly recommend for any dino lovers!

For an admission price of $26 per adult I would have expected a little bit more of an exhibit. It states on the website that it takes anywhere from 30-75 minutes to completely walk the exhibit. My family of about 16 people literally went through the Dino exhibit in maybe 15 minutes. We spent more time in the coloring center and gift shop, at the end of the exhibit. Expect to walk thru the exhibit rather quickly. It's nice how the dinosaurs look, they look real and they give a description on each of the dinosaurs because it is somewhat of an educational exhibit. This is definitely something to do with your kids, but it's not something I'm rushing back to do again.

I took 36 second graders on a field trip here. The kids had a BLAST!! We read The Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark and the exhibit was a perfect ending for our dinosaur unit. We love how "alive" the dinosaurs looked. The students enjoyed the interactive aquarium. The students and parents loved the scavenger hunt! In a separate area, the students spent most of their time coloring dinos and displaying it on the projector. Some really liked the VR and it was complimentary because we came as a group! Some students loved riding the little and big dinosaurs. And of course, they absolutely enjoyed shopping in the souvenir section. Their employees were so helpful! They played games with my students and even gave the birthday student a free keychain! So sweet! The manager, Timothy, and guide Bryan were so very kind and helpful! They checked in with me multiple times throughout the day to make sure our group was situated. They even moved furniture around so that my students had a place to eat for lunch. They even had decorations for the birthday student! It is an exhibit so it was somewhat small, but it entertained the students for the two hours we were there. I can't complain about the pricing because the school paid for the entrance tickets. 10/10 would come here again! Thank you Dinos Alive!

I have to agree with another person. Yes its cute, and the Dino's are pretty cool but I feel like the price is way to high for the 15 minutes you spend in there. I paid 125 for 2 adults and 3 kids to walk for 15 minutes... parking was also 15$ for those 15-20 minutes. I don't think it's worth it.

Great time! When you check in they hand you a scavenger hunt sheet and if you find them you get some free stickers! There's also a small room before exiting that has an interactive screen of sea animals. Kids loved it! The gift shop has two dinosaur rides a coloring station and VR experience but you do have to pay for rides and VR $5-8

Do not get the upgraded package !!! It barely comes with anything. All the good stuff does not allow you to use the fast pass.

Don't recall the woman's name but the one who works at the VR goggles station was very kind and helpful!

If you're in…read moreSacramento with little ones, this is easily one of the best ways to spend a morning or afternoon. You can easily spend half a day here without anyone getting bored. What We Loved Immersive Play: The range of play structures is incredible. Our kids were obsessed with the recreations of famous children's books--walking through Mr. McGregor's Farm felt like stepping right into a storybook. Animals & Nature: Beyond the slides and climbing, the petting zoo and the peaceful Japanese pond (Urashima Taro) provided a great change of pace for the kids. Interactive Learning: The children's theatre is a gem. They have dedicated storytime and puppet shows that kept the toddlers completely engaged. Why It's a Must-Visit What makes this place even more amazing is that it's a non-profit. Knowing that your $10 admission (an absolute steal for the quality of the park!) goes back into maintaining such a creative space for the community makes the experience even better. It's right across from the Sacramento Zoo, so you can make a full day of it in Land Park if you have the energy! Perfect for ages 1-6, but even older kids will enjoy the nostalgia and creative structures.

Parking can get a bit difficult, since it's also close to the Zoo and Funderland. There are areas to slide, climb, and play. Also, there are animals (goats, rabbits, chickens/rooster, ox, mini horse, pigs) inside. The gift shop mostly contains generic items that don't say Fairytale Town, which don't make for the best of souvenirs. If you've never been here before, you can likely count on your kid enjoying at least a couple of hours here before getting bored. I'd say it's geared more for the younger children...older kids would probably benefit more from visiting the other two nearby attractions.

We bought our tickets online for $23, they go up daily. They were $29 at the gate the day we went. We took our time and brought our own snacks. We stayed about 3 hours. The grounds are on the smaller side for a zoo but clean and beautiful with ample areas to sit and eat/enjoy the park. There is a small playground too There are touristy things to pay extra for if you wanted. Also a cafe and gift shop. I did notice that while the animals seemed healthy the enclosures they live in are too small. The giraffes can watch traffic! I had to take a star for that.

More than half the exhibits are just dinosaur animatronics- which fine they were pretty cool but I'm there to see actual live animals not sunburnt animatronics. The exhibits that were supposed to be for animals were mostly empty. Imagine my surprise when I see an exhibit for a possum and I get all excited over an empty enclosure. Ridiculous. The reptile exhibits were ok. Mostly empty as well, so essentially we paid to look at empty exhibits. The gift shop was cute but definitely child centered. No shirts or much merch for adults other than the jewelery and key chains. Overall a very dissipating experience . No animals and sad enclosures.
