They have a new larger location in Bishop Ranch. Still great fun and worth the money. They have a bunch of racing simulators that have both manual and automatic and hydraulics to manage the feedback. They also have normal and F1 steering wheels and even a little simulator for kids. For $25 for 30 minutes, you get the normal shifter, and I think $35/30 minutes for the racing shifter. This newer location is closer to the VR areas and the kid watch places so it's actually a way better location and on the second floor. Been here a couple times and can't wait to go back! read more

I've been here twice, and both times were a blast. You have to reserve your appointment ahead of time, and the second time I went I didn't get a seat directly next to my +1, but it was cool. I think it's a real cool experience to have. They've got modes for automatic cars, and if you know how to drive stick they've got options for 6 speeds. They explain how to use the simulators prior, and ask if you want a certain course or car. They've got a ton of cars and courses so I just ask for whatever they think will go well with the cars I want to drive. The place is clean but it does tend to get hot, so bring a water just in case. I won't lie I got sweaty after a 30 minute session so you might smell some smells in there, but all in all it's a fun experience, especially if you're into cars. Make sure to book a reservation as the weekends are packed! 8 of us booked the entire space which was so nice to drive an hour with friends and family. The manager was so nice and helpful! My daughter had a blast as she isn't old enough to drive IRL. It really gives you the full experience of racing on a track with all the impacts of the crashing into other cars and walls lol. We got headphones to speak to everyone which was so much fun. Be aware for those who get motion sickness! After the first half hour I had I stop bc the motion sickness got real. My brother loves F1 and looked up shift arcade and discovered it's the best virtual driving experience you can get in the area. We are staying in San Fran but made the trip over to San Ramon to check this place out. We made a reservation for an hour each on the simulators. We started off with some general instruction before starting our time then throughout the hour we worked our way up in difficulty. The simulators are no joke! After our session, we were both sweating because it really feels like you're driving a race car. I do wish we could've tried some of the other options like running from the police or other non-F1 game modes but overall we had a really great time. I would also say that an hour and a half would be better if you wanna try some extra stuff it took a while to get the hang of things and didn't really feel like we got the hang of it until the last couple races. read more

This place is amazing. I'm in the process of building my own rig, so I've been researching my own parts. They really spared no expense giving you the best experience with top of the line hardware. Wow this place is cool!! Our family went to Drive Simulations for the first time and my teenage sons and husband had a blast. We'll definitely return. I reserved and paid for the simulators online ahead of time through their website. It's very simple. Once we arrived, we were greeted with enthusiasm by a fantastic guy named Chris. He is so incredibly helpful and has a super personality. He has a huge passion for cars and shared great convo with my sons. He also loves his job and it shows. He explained the different types of simulations available and steering wheel choices. Then they were off! Figuratively speaking. Omg they all had a ton of fun. Highly recommend this place! I should also mention these are high tech, high quality race simulators, and with a little coaching from Chris everyone was able to feel like a pro. If drifting is your goal this isn't your spot! I have many hours on my personal sim and came to see what the motion base and triple monitors was about. The sim I ended up racing on had a broken wheelbase causing violent shaking whenever the rear tires would brake loose. This combined with them saying they have drift tuned cars from mods that are actually untuned stock assetto corsa cars made drifting impossible. The employee didn't know much about the sim and when I suggested the wheelbase may be broken he told me "I think all of our wheel bases may be broken" and just changed the map where the issues continued. The only time I saw the motion base taking action was when I would drive over bumps with inertia entries not translating into seat feel at all. The employee was friendly however knowingly renting out broken equipment caused an overall bad experience and I won't be coming back. read more

AMAZING RACING SIM. The overall experience is so authentic and feels like driving the real thing.

This is an excellent simulated car racing experience. I came with a 15-year-old who loves cars and loves arcades. We had a blast! It's an incredibly realistic simulation. The video footage of the racetracks is so realistic that its as if you're in an actual race. I'm a novice at simulated driving experiences but the manager made sure I was comfortable by adjusting the screens when I started getting dizzy, and helping us select cars and track experiences that worked appropriately. It was all good! I ran off the tracks a few times, crashed into a wall, and was briefly suspended for driving the wrong way after a crash, but no vehicles were damaged and I still have my CDL. I'm also giving them a shout-out for supporting non-profits and youth in the foster car system. These are generous, ethical, business owners. Shift Arcade is wonderful! I have been sim racing on/off for the past decade and have my own rig at home. I've been to many places who attempt to have a business of this nature but always fall short because of lack of good enough/high quality gear/rigs. These guys nailed it, high quality components and all put together seamlessly, just jump in and go, while maintaining a really good price point. I've been here on two occasions with family and it's definitely a great little gem of a spot, I don't see it staying this easy to reserve a slot once it blows up and has more traffic. I forgot to add, I would love to see a clock on the wall behind all the sims, just for an easy way to see how much time you have left to better plan how you're gonna spend it, I found myself asking for the time several times and everyone knows how fast time goes by when having fun on these sims. Maybe even projected wall clock to go with the look of the wall. read more

I took my wife and 5 kids there and they all loved it. I never got to use the machines to drive, because my kids and wife wouldn't give up the chairs they were having such a great time. My one son was so good at it, they offered him a job. I'm not an expert on simulation machines, but looking at displays it was really impressive. I think they'll even load up the simulators and bring them to any event you want corporate or private. If you're into racing cars, I would definitely check them out. read more
