Auto detailing can run anywhere from $67 to $1500 depending on the car and the amount of detailing one requests. According to the internet, A $250 auto detailing takes about 4 hours. One company said they send two guys to work on the car for two hours. Another guy works solo and spends 4 hours. In generic questioning the same answer can be found ... it suggests that a detailing at this level should take about two hours inside and two hours outside. My FJ has about 50,000 miles on it and has been kept in the garage except while driving since we bought it. No food is eaten in it so there are no stains on the rugs or carpets so it should have been a pretty easy cleanup. Martin Rios of Exotic Shine Mobile Detailing came to our house to do a $250 Auto detailing on the FJ. To his credit, the car was cleaned inside and out. Some sort of power wash and no hand wax but unless you look closely, the FJ looks clean. Pretty much what I might expect for a $150 detail, but for $250 I expected a bit more. Like the door of the glove box dusted off. No dust left on the spokes of the rim. No dirt on the hinges of the door or in the door frame. And most of all, it would have been nice if the street, driveway and sloping curbs didn't look like some ghetto neighborhood when he left. I have a 2018 Toyota Camry that has taken me to many places and at one point was being taken from Vegas to California every weekend for about 5 months. As someone who is always on the move, a little lazy when it come to picking up their stuff and brings their wardrobe with them everywhere they go, as most women do, my car DEFINITELY needed a good cleaning. The black interior was starting to turn grey from all the dirt and makeup caked on throughout the years. A few stains from hair dye and who knows what else, and just dirt in general from me leaving trash in my car for long periods of time. I reached out to several different mobile detailers and Martin responded back right away. He gave me the starting prices for his services and after taking a look at his portfolio I decided to book with him. Martin showed up and took a look at my car and could immediately how neglected my car has been. I couldn't be offended because it's true and this is why I came to him, so he could restore my car and I could start all over again with keeping it clean. The price was higher then his starting price, but given the condition it's in and the quality of work he does the price was perfect. He got working right away with his amazing assistant and together they got my car done in a little over 2 hours. When I saw my car it had looked like Martin just delivered it me right off the lot. The black interior no longer appeared grey, the redness had its shine back and all the dirt, crumbs and stains were all almost completely gone. (PLEASE NOTE: If you have gone years with never having your car PROFESSIONALLY cleaned and you're a bit of a slob, no matter how good the detailer is some stains WILL NOT come out, and that is a fault of the owner) I'm very pleased with using Martin's service and him and his assistant deserve the 5 star review! I went with exotic shine mobile detailing with the impression since I am paying more I would receive a better wash than the rest of the detailers I've used but that wasn't quite the case. I don't mind paying someone what they are worth and more but in my experience from previous detailing services, I've had better finishes on my vehicles than the one exotic shine mobile detailing provided. Overall good communication but quality of service isn't quite matched with the price. read more

On the original call, Martin told me it would be $150 for interior/exterior detailing and he would steam the seats. I get home from work later than the appointment time, so I had my parents keep my car. That way, when I get home, Martin can already start detailing my car. When Martin arrives, I get a call, and he says the detail will be $200, because I have "a couple stains on the backseat". He did say that the price may vary depending on the vehicle's condition, however $50 for a couple stains seems like a financial stretch. Especially since I was planning to use that extra money to leave an extra tip for his service. I told him my friend knows someone who details for $80, therefore Martin could detail my car for $150, and whatever he doesn't get to I would clean myself or contact the other person. I didn't want to come off as rude (and I don't think I was), especially since I still wanted to support his business since he came out (which I told him on the phone) but... I think Martin may have gotten offended by my comment and told me to call the other person instead, and "when" I'm not satisfied with their job, to call him back. I was flabbergasted by this and said "ok". I wanted to clear it up with him just incase he misunderstood what I was saying, but immediately, he had hung up the phone. My mom called me back barely a minute later and asked if I was still doing the detailing, but then she was surprised to see Martin had already left. Anyways, I got the stains out with a wet towel and some scrubbing, and I gave them an extra star for their quick response time :)! No detailing was done. I hope the up-charge wasn't of bad intentions, but I want others to be able to plan a flexible budget when booking. read more

I was sent the prices for my car and what I was looking for prices started at $150. I set up an appointment the guy comes I did expect it to be a little extra maybe $250 tops he quotes me $400. That's over double the starting price. Every business can charge what they want but don't advertise cheap prices and then give ridiculous quotes. I could've saved my time and theirs if I had known this ahead of time. Make sure if you want the starting price that you go and get your car pre-cleaned somewhere else first so they don't try to charge you over double. read more

I absolutely hate to write this review, but feel others should be aware. I have a mustang that my long haired German shepherd has been in. She sheds. A. Lot. I wanted to get my mustang detailed because my shepherd is no longer riding in my car. I reached out to several detailers and exotic was the best value for what I needed. I was quoted 100 for small car, 150 for medium car, and 200 for large card. Plus 25 extra for pet hair/sand. I did not sugar coat the amount of dog hair in my car. I was expecting to pay 200-250. I just wanted the outside washed, and the inside vacuumed and cleaned up. 250 was pushing it but I was willing to pay it to get my car clean. My appointment was scheduled for 11 am on Friday. He showed up at noon, no issues, an hour is not a big deal. He looks through my vehicle and says "it will be $750." I laughed, because we had been joking with each other and having a fun chat while he looked over my car. I said "you're kidding right?" And he wasn't. 750 FOR A CAR DETAIL?! As a woman, I felt completely taken advantage of. Doctors don't even get paid 750 for their time, regarding the amount of time it would take to clean my car. I texted my husband and he died. He said absolutely not, thay he would go get it cleaned for 40 bucks down the road. I told him I was sorry, but my husband said no. He was extremely persistent. "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission." Um.. no? He also went into "my wife is my princess, she doesn't work, my money is her money. She can do whatever she wants." That's great. I didnt appreciate the pressure I was put under. He then proceeds to tell me he just finished a girl's 2 door jeep that had two pugs and it was 900 for her. I'm seeing a trend. He takes advantage of women. I finally got him to leave after declining the 750 (I was told he wanted to work with me, 700 without washing the exterior.. WHAT?!). My husband rushed home (they barely missed each other.) He took my car down to the car wash on Stephanie and Paseo verde. He paid 40 for the top carwash, and tipped both the vacuum tech and the hand dry man 20 dollars each. 80 bucks total and my car is immaculate. Not a hair in sight, my car looks brand new, inside and out. My car was not "disgusting." It had no spills, it didn't need its carpets shampooed. I have leather seating so it's not like they needed shampooed. It was just a lot of dog hair in my back seat where I laid my seats down for my dog. I really wanted to like this place. The reviews made him look promising. But he wanted a mortgage payment to clean the interior of my car. Extremely unnecessary. read more

I went off roading the day before. She hasn't been polished since December. She needed fall out removal. She was clayed and waxed. I paid $300 and when they were finished my truck wasn't even fully clean. Then I was told that's because I "only paid for a basic exterior wash". I have had better wash jobs at the local car wash for $20. Do not call these guys. You will be disappointed. That is the ONLY thing they can guarantee. You did a lousy job Martin.
