When I landed at Heathrow, there was no wheelchair for anyone coming off flight another day of about 30 minutes a globus person called me upon landing and I informed him. I get to luggage and it was chaos cuz computer for luggage went down. 20k bags lost. Both my driver and other man kept calling me and the driver was very very rude. I told him if he can't wait I understand and I offered to get my own ride he insisted on staying. The next day outside of my hotel he passed me and almost knocked me down. I'm a 73 year old woman with not great balance. Never apologized just said get out of the way. Another incident I booked Tower of London excursion cuz I wanted to see Crown Jewels since none in Paris . Night before the tour we were told not enough people signed up and unless we get 4 more globus will cancel excursion I checked online and only a fee entrance tickets were left so I bought one in case it was cancelled. The next day at 5 minutes before the scheduled time the last two that we needed paid to go and I was out $50. I think globus should it have eaten the cost of the 4 tickers for the excursion . I called and asked for a &50 refund but they said no. Also I felt the hotel was in a very inconvenient part of Paris and not nearly as nice as the one in London . Dinners were also not very good. The first restaurant in Paris was awful beef burgeoning a cheap thick slice of fatty beef with no flavor.

I have been a road warrior for 35 years and have traveled most places in the world multiple times,…read moreincluding living internationally. I had a 35 minute discussion with Kim, who has worked as a travel agent at Cosmos for at least seven years but has been in the business for over 30 years. She definitely gets travel. Given the situation with the Wuhan virus (COVID-19 - let's be real). I was very well prepared for my discussion with Kim about their readiness for a mid-August tour of Norway. Cosmos said it was available and they were good to go. I was assured Cosmos had valid contracts with all the hotels, restaurants, buses, tour leaders, Government approval, etc, etc. I was very satisfied with the depth of her answers and we put the deposit down that day (4 people, 2 families), which was in June 2021. And shortly after we put the deposit, the trip was completely sold out. Weeks later we received very non-specific, form letter from some senior executive at Cosmos saying what everyone says: this is canceled or cannot happen due to Covid (Wuhan). We fully understand that things happen and times are difficult, but Cosmos was NOT forthcoming, nor did they really give an accurate reason for what happened to this entire tour group. I emailed Kim (Cosmos sales agent) and I called Kim four times. There were no return emails or no return calls. It's as if they disappeared off the map. What I did expect from the largest tour provider in the world is common good business practices: I expected them to help me find another tour, they wouldn't even return an email or call. They blew me off as if it meant nothing. This is highly inappropriate and unprofessional . I don't think Cosmos wants to be known as a used car salesman type organization, but that's exactly the experience they gave the four of us. There is nothing that can explain away while why emails and calls were not returned. The truth is, the government of Norway allocating a specific number of people That could be admitted into the country, by tour provider, buy business type, by industry, etc. etc. Cosmos had not done their due diligence to properly allocate the number of people per tour. And I'm not sure if they had all of the other resources contracted and allocated that are required for I tour. But there is nothing that excuses absolute and complete non-responsiveness to customers

Three weeks before the trip I received an email from Cosmos Travel regarding Covid19 vaccination requirement. I did not read the fine print when I booked my trip, unfortunately. But they were good to remind me after the fact. I am not vaccinated. So immediately I called to cancel my trip the Travel agent, and was told I was on my own and to file a Claim. But my reason for cancelling did not meet any of the 12 reasons they honor. I was honest about the fact that I did not want to put anyone at risk, since it was a group tour. American Airlines did not have any restriction so I felt good about that. I submitted the claim for a refund and was denied. Therefore; lost half of the cost of the trip. My best advice for anyone who doesn't travel much, like myself, please read through the fine print and ask questions. I have learned a very expensive lesson. Ironically, my friends who still went on the three week trip, were never asked for verification of vaccination by ANYONE!

The weekend ended with completing her classroom/pool certification and moving on to dives 1 and 2 for open water certification. Those dives were at the Downtown Aquarium in Denver. I had the opportunity to sit by the segment of the tank where they were going through all the skills they learned in class. It was a lot of hard work over the course of one weekend but worth it. The store staff was always welcoming. They helped us with fitting her with the right mask, the right fins and a few other necessities. We had also booked for her to do dives 3 and 4 to complete open water certification the next month at Blue Hole in New Mexico. On the second day of her weekend class, we had her measured for the dive suit she would need for the New Mexico dive. At that time we made arrangements for when we would pick up her tank, weights, suit and vest for that excursion. A few weeks later it was time for New Mexico. One of her instructors, Heather, was in contact via email to let her know the schedule and to provide the information for getting her diving permit for that site. Heather was helpful answering questions. On the morning of our road trip, we popped into the shop shortly after they opened and picked up her gear for the dive. At Blue Hole, the A-1 instructors, Heather and Carol, were informative and got the group ready for their descent. My daughter had some difficulty with one of her mask skills and both Heather and Carol worked with her until she was able to get the skill down that she needed to complete. Highly recommend A-1 Scuba. The instructors want to see their students succeed. They are patient and encouraging.

I haven't been diving with them for an extended period now due to health related issues, but I'm planning a trip with them sometime in the hopefully not too distant future to motivate me as I go through addressing some of these problems via appropriate surgical procedures . Just knowing my reward for having these procedures done will be a dive trip with them is providing motivation for my pre-surgical pre-rehab routine and post op. Prehab is the exercises and activities you do before a surgery in order to optimize the surgical recovery and results . Diving is such an intoxicating activity. I could think of none better to serve this function. The inherent joy of diving is enhanced when you go with an A1 sponsored trip because you typically meet a great group of people and share a lot of spectacular diving as well as fun post diving activities. Yes and one or two libations might enter the picture. Thank you everyone at A-1!! I can't believe that after all these years of you providing excellent services and equipment to me that I didn't take the time to acknowledge your excellence before.
