I just wish she had made us aware that purchasing the insurance from the airline would not be the same coverage we could have expected from the insurance they offer. We simply followed the prompts to add the insurance when we were confirming our flights and apparently we shouldn't have. Luckily there were no issues so insurance wasn't a concern, but peace of mind is priceless :) Will likely be booking more vacations with them in the future.

Laurie…read moreadvertised the trip on Facebook as a 7day/6night French Barge cruise and additional pre cruise nights in Dijon France. The trip was to include train fare from Paris to Dijon and return, the cruise originating in Dijon, all food, excursions and drinks on the barge and daily tours and travel insurance. Additionally, there was a pre cruise gastronomy tour with tastings and a gourmet lunch. From the beginning things were amiss. The included trip insurance was later removed from the package and Ms. Scott attempted to not adjust the price accordingly. Train tickets for my wife and I arrived 2 days before we left the US and we were not seated together. In fact, she had us seated in completely different train cars! For others on the trip, she held their train tickets and when her plane was delayed, they ALL missed their train, were forced to wait at the airport for her to arrive with train tickets. A professional would have distributed all tickets and documents to travelers prior to departure. Instead, she added hours of discomfort and waiting for other travelers. A promised gastronomy tour materialized as a bus trip with a local woman who purchased a few items and set them up on a park bench for our group of 17. The gastronomy tour was advertised as 5 tastings including chocolate, truffles and wine. No chocolate, no truffles..no tastings. Our lunch was not included and the cost divided among the group whether you had wine pairings with each course or not you were charged the same as others. A much anticipated welcome dinner (at our own expense) was fouled up when she failed to secure dinner reservations at a local spot. At every turn there were problems and disappointments. Laurie never once apologized or tried to rectify her omissions or errors. It was so incredibly disappointing. I provided Ms. Scott with my allergies and food restrictions as requested and she failed to provide this information to the cruise company. As a result, I missed out on several meal courses because they didn't know to make the appropriate arrangements. Promised excursions during the cruise either didn't materialize or were significantly less robust than described. In one case we hiked to a dry waterfall (I kid you not). Wide Horizons had poor communication from beginning to end, and Laurie seemed incapable of troubleshooting or problem solving. She apparently neglected to confirm guides and tours in advance so on more than one occasion the guide was delayed or had to be replaced at the last minute and the lack of preparedness showed. Tipping of guides and drivers was sporadic or nonexistent and no effort was made by Laurie the tour leader to collect monies, encourage or remind those in the group to consider tips for those who provided services. Across the board it was a disaster. I would NEVER take a trip with her again and I can't recommend her or her company to anyone who wants to receive the items they contracted for in a trip package.

No worries if you don't ski…read more Bob organizes day trips for non skiers while skiers ski and we all have dinner together every night. If you ski, this is your trip. Ski rentals and day passes very inexpensive in Austria compared to what you pay in the US. I became an après ski expert on this January 2024 trip! Bob arranges everything for you well in advance of the trip, accommodating special needs/travel. We met new friends and can't wait to see everyone again. In 2018, my husband & I did Bob's annual Oktoberfest trip, also a fantastic experience. We met several new life long friends on the Oktoberfest 2018 trip. My wife and I just returned from a trip we knocked off our bucket list. More so on my list than my…read morewife's. ; ) We attended Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. The tour group consisted of 29 folks including Bill & Bob from Ginger Peachy. This was not a trip that I could have planned on my own without doing extensive research and legwork. Ginger Peachy did that for us and it was a trip I will always remember. They book everything from the flights, airport transfers, hotels, breakfasts and dinners and most importantly the beer tents. It is quite overwhelming when you first walk into a beer tent and see the thousands of people all there to have a great time. We were glad that this was planned and all we had to do was don our lederhosen and dirdle. We had a wonderful time and met some awesome folks. The tour also included other beautiful excursions such as Garmisch and the top of Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany. We loved seeing the countryside and how people live outside of Munich. We usually don't travel with tour groups but found this trip quite an experience that we will always remember. Thank you Ginger Peachy...Prost!!!
