The only reason I give 1 star is because Yelp won't let me give 0 stars. Do NOT trust this place with your repairs. The techs are total amateurs and will damage your appliances.  A tech named Hunter came out to replace a moisture sensor on our washer/dryer combo as part of our Home Depot protection plan. He fixed the issue but completely damaged the unit in the process!  And he had the nerve to say at the end of the job, "well at least you have a working unit now!" He was very rough with handling the unit--he dropped the dryer door and 2 of the side panels on the floor (more than once!). He ended up completely bending the side panels.  And he clearly didn't know what he was doing because he had to watch YouTube videos to figure out how to replace the sensor!  He also said he had to text 9 different people asking a question about how to disassemble the dryer, and that "I need to wait for answers from these people before I can move forward with fixing it."  Unacceptable!  We called the office to complain about the damage, so they planned to send someone else out the next day to look at it.  The person didn't end up showing up within the scheduled time frame, so we wasted a whole morning waiting around and had to reschedule to the next day due to other obligations we had on the originally scheduled day.  Some guy named Screech came out that next day, looked at the damage, and told us that the best he could do was try to "bend the panels back into place."  He proceeded to do so, and the panels were still all bent and messed up.  He asked us "is this going to be good enough for you?" No, it definitely was NOT good enough.  And not only that--when he put the unit back, he forgot to hook up one of the water hoses to the washer, so the next morning when we went to run the washer, water ended up spilling out all over the floor in the utility room!  So once again, I called the office to complain, and was told that they "wanted to make it right" by replacing the unit altogether for us.  So they said they would order it and get back with us on a delivery date. This happened in March. By July, we still had not received any follow up. I called the office countless times in that 4 months to follow up, and kept getting the run around.  In June I was told that the unit had been ordered but that they had to go pick it up from a warehouse and that they'd be in touch with me on a delivery date.  Nothing happened. No callbacks, no correspondence...nothing. So I kept calling almost daily throughout most of July and continued getting the run-around. I was repeatedly told the owner was the one handling it and "he's not here right now so I'm going to pass your message along and have him call you back" or the front desk girls would tell me "let me find out and I'll call you back." I continued to not receive callbacks or messages. Finally I was told, at the end of July, that the owner was working with their appliance dealer on getting the unit ordered (what? I was told in June it had already been ordered! Liars). I finally told them to just compensate us directly for the amount it was going to cost to replace it, which they eventually agreed to do. Probably better that way because I wouldn't have trusted them to deliver and install the unit correctly (or without damage!). And there is no rebuttal the owner can respond to this review with that would justify their actions. They know what they did and there is absolutely zero excuse for this taking 5 MONTHS to resolve. DO NOT trust this place with your appliance repairs (well, don't trust them as long as you want a repair. If you want your unit to get damaged, definitely go ahead and use them!) They are far from experts. read more

We used Expert Appliance Repair as a part of the Lowes warranty. Unfortunately, they were unable to fix our washing machine in the 5 times they visited our home. The repairman was unprepared and asked us for supplies that he should have had on his truck like tie wraps and duct tape. He also called other repairman while at our home to figure out what was wrong with our machine. He forgot a part one time and the company lied to us stating he had an emergency that he needed to attend to. I was finally able to speak to the office, and they admitted that he forgot the part and didn't want to go all the way back to Kokomo. Another time, he replaced the part proclaiming that the machine was fixed, yet it was still making the same grinding sound. When the next repairman came out, the part that the previous repairman replaced fell off the machine when the machine was lifted. There was poor communication in the way of paperwork, we were not prioritized given the fact they had been to our home multiple times, and they displayed great incompetence. The final time that the repairman proclaimed that the machine was fixed, I tested it and immediately texted Expert Appliance Repair to let them know the machine was not fixed. There was no response, no apology, and no follow-up. This was not a difficult fix. A quick YouTube search provided the answer to the problem. This company is completely incompetent, and I have reported them to Lowes. read more

I was referred to Expert Appliance Repair via the Lowes Protection Plan as the freezer part of my refrigerator stopped cooling. The repair man that they sent shattered a shelf and claimed to have fixed the freezer. He also stated that he would replace the broken shelf. This is the company our Lowe's purchase sent us to for our warranty work, on our Whirlpool dryer. After reading the other reviews posted here, I was very pleasantly surprised. They showed up as promised and when they said they would, and on time. Fast diagnosis of the problem, needed to order parts. Said when they would return, did exactly that! On time os promised. I'm a tenant and the landlord is using them to fix a washing machine. They have been out multiple times. First a diagnosis visit, and then they come back a week or so later for the repair, repeat. Both times have been incorrectly diagnosed and the same issue is still happening. Not only was the repair man always at least a half hour late to each appointment window("we will be there between 12:00 and 4:00", arrives at 5:30) they have stopped answering further calls to complete the work they have been hired to do. I think they recognize my landlords number because every time I ask him for an update, he says he is calling multiple times a day and no one is picking up or calling back. It's been more than 7 weeks since the first visit and nothing. Please use anyone else if you are hoping for a timely repair. read more

One star is generous for this company. They came to my house 4 times as part of Lowes extended warranty of a 2 yr old LG stove. In total, I spent 1 month without having a functional stove. On the 4th visit the technician broke a clip that holds the burner in place, and I am sure he knew what he did, and walked away saying that the stove had been repaired. When I tested the burner, it took me 5 seconds to see the burner was not working, actually even worse than before. I texted/called the tech, 2 mins after he left my house but he did not pick up. When I called their office the next morning, I was told me they would accommodate any of my needs and would send another tech, the following week to diagnose the issue. Horrible experience. Over 3 months this poorly run outfit misdiagnosed the issue - after being given a full description, pictures and doing an inspection - and failed to fix our issue. They dont return calls. They dont show up for for appointments and fail to reschedule (3 times). We had to open 3 warranty tickets to get them to the final stage which was failure to fix anything while making the issue worse. Ultimately we told Lowes we needed someone else and not to send EAR to our home again. Pathetic. Call someone else. read more

My overall experience with this company was horrible. If I could have given 0 stars I would have. Carrie and Mark the admin team are both extremely unprofessional. Mark Slater hung up the phone mid conversation and Carrie did not respond to one single email after multiple attempts. 4 of their techs were sent to my home to repair a washer and all of them were unsuccessful and left my appliance worst than when they arrived. The notes after the visit did not match the what was reviewed with me after the repair. I would not suggest working with this company or paying them a dime for a repair or you will greatly regret it. I am surprised the company hasn't been shut down. We have recordings of their techs telling us that we should "sue" and also recordings from their admin team about not knowing what is going on. They try to bash their customers because the techs are unable to fulfill their obligations. I hope Lowe's extended warranty program releases them As an option for repair. read more

We used them, via Lowe's, to look at our dishwasher that was having an electrical problem. They were prompt, communicated well, asked smart questions of us, and ultimately helped us to get our dishwasher replaced. Definitely the most thorough and professional encounter I've ever had with someone who came out to service a warranty item. I hope to use them in the future. read more

Zero Stars for this company. My dishwasher was under a service warranty. The repairman came out and replaced a 'clamp' and stated it was fixed. It appeared to be for approximately one hour when the blue light started to flash and the power was going on and off again. I called and they said they ordered a new part that would take about 4 days to come in. No word from them and two weeks later after multiple texts, phone calls, and emails, NO RESPONSE. My warranty service plan stated the appliance service closed out the ticket as 'completed' and has since set up a new service call with a different company. Addendum: After the new repair company came in: they showed me the paper towel wad that was placed by the 'Expert' Appliance Repairman to seemingly stop the drip (at least temporarily). We also discovered yesterday the drip had continued into our finished basement ceiling. Now we have to repair that along with replacement of insulation....... read more

Fast forward to a week out he never answered my call and yet we have been out of a refrigerator for over a week. Today they were supposed to be here between 8am and 12pm - never arrived. Beware. Their technician was unable to repair our refrigerator over 3 separate visits. Then he stood us up for 4 subsequent scheduled appointments. Did not return our phone calls. Then we called a GE certified technician who told us the original attempt to repair our unit damaged the refrigerator to the point that it was deemed unserviceable and had to be replaced. read more
