They are really kind Managers, accommodating requests for busy single mom in transition and trying to figure things out and make everything work! With caring and accommodating management and owner, my daughter is not only doing better emotionally, mentally, academically, but she is excelling in school and recognized by teachers for her creativity and hard work. I think all the fun activities and crafts she does in Adventure really allows the creative juices flowing. I love the after school pass that includes pickup and care, camp pass that includes lunch, and FSP plan that allows families to save some money for hourly rates. Appreciate you opening weekends, early mornings, and late evenings so I can work to support my daughter. Thank you teachers for your dedication and care. Special shoutout to Ms. Lara, Aleshia, and Bebe for your love, dedication, and genuine car. God bless you all!

Super clean and full of cameras. Stay clear of this facility.

If you value your child's development and education, this place is phenomenal! It's not a daycare,…read moreit's a place your child will learn to be independent and confident in themself as an individual. We started at 11.5 months (tried nanny and a couple other schools before) and after 2 months she is walking into the school on her own, uses utensils, loves to listen to books being read to her, participates in class activists, and is a lot better at handling her emotions. This was the only school that was willing to accommodate my early potty training, and continue to work with her on it!The teacher to student ratios are better than i have ever seen and they ACTUALLY stick to them. (I never understood how a 5:1 ratio for infants is possible. 0-17 month group is 3:1 here) Every time I go to drop her off, I feel great about having my daughter attend the school. Teachers are so patient and loving!! I love all of them. The head of the school Brandy is amazing at communicating and makes everything easy. I drive 1.5 hours some days to get to work so I can keep her in this school.

My son was enrolled in Guidepost Flower Mound's Spanish Immersion program for 18 months, and we rarely went more than a month without a major change or staff turnover. We stayed as long as we did because the Guides caring for our son were excellent, but they have all since left the school. Over time, it became apparent that there were significant issues behind the scenes. The atmosphere among staff often felt tense, and the administration was not transparent with families about changes affecting the school. Important decisions were typically communicated only after they had already been made. We ultimately decided to withdraw when the school announced the closure of the Spanish Immersion program. The announcement was sent to parents on a Friday evening and gave just two weeks' notice that children would be separated into existing classes. It offered only vague suggestions about future Spanish language instruction. There was no attempt to consult with parents beforehand, despite administrators stating the program had been under review for months. Attempts to seek clarification afterward were met with vague responses rather than clear answers. The final disappointment has been the handling of our deposit. In March, both the Head of School and administrators at TNC Schools confirmed in writing that our deposit would be returned. Several months later, we are still waiting. There has been no communication since March and no explanation for the delay. It is difficult to understand why a commitment made clearly and explicitly in writing has not been honored. Having toured many Montessori schools in the area, my impression is that Guidepost is priced as a premium option for local families. While every family must decide for themselves whether that cost is justified, our experience of constant staff turnover, program instability, poor communication, lack of transparency, and the school's failure to follow through on its written commitment to return our deposit did not reflect the level of professionalism and stability we expected. For those reasons, I cannot recommend the school to other families.

We then switched to SSH for a summer and noticed a difference. My oldest son is now in a dual-language elementary program and slowly learning Spanish. My youngest son is starting his second full year at SSH and his Spanish has improved dramatically. I'm confident after this year that he will be fluent in Spanish before he even joins the dual-language kindergarten program. The bottom line is, if you want your children to really learn Spanish, this place is fantastic. I don't want to stop there though, because this is also a great pre-school more broadly. As a result of moving while my kids were young, we have experience at a number of preschools (2 in my old city, 2 in Flower Mound). One of the key features often differentiating pre-schools that leave something to be desired versus pre-schools that are great is the continuity of staff. I expected this to matter but I don't think I appreciated how much. The continuity of staff is obviously helpful at a pure operations standpoint. However, I think think it also indicates how happy people are to work there (which is critically important when you're talking about people working with your children day in and day out). Patty is the head of SSH and has been there a long time. Over the two years now that my boys have been there, I see almost all of the same faces. They all seem on top of it, resulting in great communication with parents and a great experience for the children!

The longtime owner recently sold the business and there have been a lot of changes. I'm sure that will settle and then it just comes down to your personal preferences and what you want out of a child care. Most of the teachers are wonderful and you can tell they really care about the kids. Where I think there needs to be significant improvement is in addressing the needs of kids with food allergies, keeping a better handle on the Explorer age kids, and communication to parents in general. If you have a child with food allergies, I would highly recommend you look elsewhere. We had issues with our child being fed foods he was allergic to, reports coming home saying he had been feds he was allergic to that we were subsequently told were typos, and not always being provided menus with allergy information in a timely manner (so that we could bring substitute food in). Another mom told me she had recently witnessed my child eating another child's snack (he was allergic to) when the teacher wasn't looking. She intervened and the teacher thanked her but I was never notified about it. It probably explains why he randomly vomited in our car, though. It was just a string of reoccuring issues over a long period of time that I felt was glossed over and never adequately addressed. It was a hassle. If you have an older child ("Explorers age"), I would also recommend looking elsewhere. When my child was put into Explorers, all of a sudden I started having behavior issues (language, attitude, etc.) and I know I wasn't the only parent who felt that way. Again, my complaints fell on deaf ears. My sense is that it is a lot of younger people (college age?) who don't have the experience to know when they need to correct behavior and/or communicate to parents. I spent my summer trying to deprogram my child and still got a note back from his fall teacher (at a regular school) saying he was ornery.
