What have we learned today, kids? A few things:…read more 1. Get to the station well ahead of time, especially when it's the first work day of the month and you need a round trip ticket. And no, if you thought 11 minutes was early enough, think again because there are powers beyond your control that brings me to.... 2. People in Newhall....well maybe not all people...but maybe all commuters taking the Metrolink in Newhall are cold hearted people that will crowd you in line when they hear the bells go off for their train. The lines are long when you get to a Metrolink station on the first of the month. This is something that Metrolink (even with an increased surge of ridership because of gas prices) has never gotten right. Stations need more kiosks for ticketing. But, I digress. It was the usual long lines today, but I arrived early enough and realized that though I was #5 in line, I would be fine. But then, kiosk #2 stopped accepting CCs. The ensuing panic was felt by everyone in line...including me. But I was in good spirits..because at this point I was next. Or.....maybe not, as soon as the customer ahead of me left the kiosk, some jackass crowds in front of me to grab his ticket. Not even an acknowledgement that this grown man has reacted like some idiot 8th grader wanting to get first in line for the French fries. Ugh. And that's not the half, with the realization of the impending missing of ones train, people got into a frenzy. Every man for himself. Nuts. Most people in line just hopped onto the train without tickets. I guess because Metrolink rarely checks tickets anyway. I didn't want to risk it. I finally got my ticket as I waved goodbye to the conductor on my train. Oh, and if you thought you can just quickly get a refund instead of taking the train...think again. It's not guaranteed. Never has been. Once you get your ticket...you're committed.

While I easily could have went with Uber, Rich gave me an incredible deal that came out to the same as Uber. Our driver was Harry. Not only was he amazing, but he was completely reliable and most importantly safe. The car was spacious enough for my Bruin to bring home laundry to do at home. So if you have a college student who needs to arrange a ride home, Happy Shuttle is definitely the place to call. They continue to exceed expectations and their prices are affordable. They were very punctual and they did a great job of communicating. Adolfo, the assigned chauffeur, arrived in a very new, very clean white stretch limo, which was perfect for a wedding. He worked well with the coordinator, delivering the wedding party first to the venue, and then back to the reception. We were provided champagne as well as non-alcoholic beverages on ice, with a nice selection of glasses. The chauffeur was very smooth so we didn't spill a drop. He was actually recommended by someone but the negative review below had me concerned. The day before the wedding day he frantically informs me he has a problem with his limo. He offered a limo bus instead at no charge. In a bind I kindly accepted his offer. But we did not want our beautiful daughter climbing up and down the limo bus in her gown. Not only was that inappropriate for the occasion it was tacky!--she is on her way to her wedding NOT the club. The bridal party and family yes that was fine. BUT things did not turn out the way we planned. 1) Limo got stuck in traffic on pick up no. one. 2) Limo driver didn't have the courtesy to contact me to let me know about the traffic or hold up. 3) Groom and his family finally picked up & transported to his own wedding late and missed out on pre-pics. 4) Grandparents had to get their own rides. 5) Father of the Bride had no ride to his only daughter's wedding and was late to set up causing others to step-in on his behalf. 6) Due to the limo buss we had to order a classy transport for the bride adding another expense.. Thankfully this service was accommodating even at the last minute. I understand things happen and I get it but this service should have had a plan B due to the situation. I was picked up at the same time and our driver used a better route to avoid the traffic in the area. This driver used his common sense and learned there was a situation in the area and had a Plan B. We were very unsatisfied with this service and we asked for a refund due to this. Instead Rami was offended and had the worst condescending attitude. He started to argue with me via text on and on and kept doing so until he stopped harassing me even via email. He likes arguing with women and does not guarantee his services. He likes to lie and say he waited on groom/family which was not the case. He likes to blame his customers instead of having empathy for ruining their day. A business should make the customer feel at ease and take responsibility even if things are out of control. NOT act like its all about him or tell me I don't work for free!!! So do not book this limo service unless you want your special day to be ruined. He will call you immature because you were not a satisfied customer-yes unprofessional from start to finish!!
