me and my friend have visiting this spa before, and we definitely have had good experiences with the quality and service there. but we recently came, with an appointment at 4:30 for 2 full acrylic sets and one pedicure. it is currently 6:30 as i am writing this and my nails aren't even painted yet and my toes are not even completed. i originally wanted a more complicated design, but i now am changing my mind as i most likely wouldn't get out of here for another 1 and a half. update- after asking for a simpler design i officially left at 6:50...and the design is definitely not what i wanted. it felt rushed and lazy and you can tell by looking at the nails that she definitely didn't try hard. i am however glad i asked for the simpler design because if they couldn't even do this i can't imagine how they would've don't with the more complicated one. i would also like to add that the shaping is definitely not the best, and neither of us are really happy with either of our shaping. we have decided only 1 or 2 artists there really know how to shape well, and it is usually quite busy in there so it is rare that you will get a good shaping. read more

Quality - Nina and ALL of her employees are extremely talented, if you don't believe me, look at their work on Instagram. Artists! I am so impressed with their ability to do quality work especially when you start getting into designs and creativity. 2. Friendliness- this place feels like family. They all remember my name. They all say hello. Every time I come in or out, Nina makes it a priority to say hello and goodbye and see you next time. They really make you feel like they appreciate your business. My main nail tech Luis knows me so well after doing my nails for over two years. He remembers which colors I like, which colors I don't like. He knows the exact shape and length I want my nails and even tho I am picky he always helps me decide on which color I want and what color mixtures would go well together. 3. Vibe - the vibe in the Salon is the best. The decor is cute. The stations are comfortable, the pedicure area is comfortable and relaxing. All the customers get along and chit chat. I've never run into someone I don't like there. Conversations flow and there's always lots of laughter. I can't express enough how much I love the vibe and feeling of expo nails. 40 min pedicure for $40 was actually 20 minutes for regular polish. Full set was bumpy and splotchy and I had to ask her to fix the chunky bumps and I was told she couldn't. Charged for shape, length and told me I couldn't do dip and made me get gel instead of regular which I normally get but the price kept rising. Overall not the same service I used to get . I am a loyal client of expo nails and was told today I am no longer going to be served at this location. When I asked as to why I was told it is because people feel uncomfortable taking me due to me making specific requests. (Red French tip, cuticles removed, nail clean up/ no nail polish other than on my nail) I personally laughed it off, I find it funny I am paying for a service and because I request those specifics I can no longer be seen here lol. Genuinely would not recommend if you have natural nails and want to keep them healthy, also future reference to anyone who does go in make sure to take a picture of the price charge list because they will charge you for extras without even letting you know. I used to only come for the occasional pedicure (they did a great job) but recently my husband gave me a manicure a month for Christmas and I could not be more impressed. aidan is my favvvv nails always look so good (he did the two below) and he is also so nice and sweet. once i didn't have my phone and i went in there not knowing what i wanted and he let me use his phone to find inspiration and helped me pick out the design and the colors. he is extremely talented and meticulous as are all of the other nail artists, everyone is also super friendly and i love the family vibe they have in the salon. the artists are always talking to each other and laughing when I'm there and as i walk back to the door after the manicure they all ask to see my nails and compliment them as i pass. overall beautiful work, beautiful place, beautiful people - no complaints! read more

NEVER GO HERE!! If I could give this shop a negative five stars, I would on a silver platter. I called before hand letting them know I am picky when it comes to my nails and he promised I would be with his wife; was super nice (so I thought). I told him I would take anyone for my pedicure. They started me with the pedicure and the woman did not cut my cuticles, she didn't use the cheese grater on the bottom of my feet and she didn't massage my feet. Just lotioned my legs. At this point I was furious. My first time there and I already expressed how picky I was off the rip and all he cared about was money and now lost a forever new client. Another tech tried taking me for my nails and I let her know, the "owners wife" was going to do my nails. She looked confused, walked away and then came back and said that she was going to do my nails.... I again was furious but very nice the whole time .... I asked the girl if she had pictures of any of her work, and she told me no. At that point I just told myself I needed to leave. I walked to the front, and the owner could tell I was not happy, he was laughing at me and all he did was ask me for $40 ...couldn't even explain himself. I got a gel manicure - the technician, Nina, at station #3 was on her phone most of the time and ignored my request for square nails. I then asked for a brow wax where she insulted me, called me fat, and tried to sell me "belly blasting gummies". I have never been more humiliated. The mani has chipped after three hours and she butchered my brows. She also fully leaned on my body while doing my brows which was ridiculous. read more

My mom got her nails done here today. I'll start by saying she only gets her nails done once a year before vacation, I get mine done regularly at a different salon, so I have a lot of "nail salon experience." First she got a pedicure. While sitting in the chair, they gave her a binder with different pedicure service packages in it, and said to choose one. None of the packages were just a basic pedicure. Luckily, she asked and they reluctantly said yes, there is a basic pedicure not mentioned in the binder. She got that. Then, she sat down to get her basic mani. They told her to choose a color from some swatches. When it comes time to apply the color they bring out the UV light. Again, my mom is not a frequent flyer at the nail salon, so it wasn't immediately apparent to her that UV light goes hand in hand with GEL polish. Gel polish manicure is, of course, more expensive. She finished her service and then they tell her the price, which was obviously higher than she expected. When she asked, they said "oh you got a gel mani!" Well, she certainly didn't ASK for a gel mani! This is just one of many first hand stories I've heard of this place doing a shady job of up-selling their services. I know times are tough with covid, but being dishonest and purposely using tactics to manipulate your customers into getting higher priced services is super unethical! read more

Tried this place for the first time, as my child moved to Hudson. Made appt for myself and daughter-in-law for 2 pedicures, one gel manicure and one acrylic fill with gel polish. Children of the workers were running around undisciplined (one ran into my wet toe polish and toes had to be touched up, with no apologies and I had to request the woman to fix the mess her chold made of my nails!) The gel polish peeled off within DAYS. Acrylics were completely outgrown before 3 weeks when it typically lasts at least 4. Won't be going back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I have been a paying REGULAR customer as well as my Mother, Sister, and Aunt since EXPO NAILS has opened. My sister was one of their first new clients and combined we all have brought them more business. I have been getting my nails done with the owner Nina for the past several months after having horrible experiences with other staff members who have NO IDEA what they're doing... uneven nails, bumps, not fully painted... the list goes on. My last visit I asked Nina to redo my nails (after she had rushed through it) once out of the HUNDREDS of times because it looked NOTHING like the photo I had showed her, she THREW her nail file down and screamed at me in front of the ENTIRE nail salon. I was NEVER rude or disrespectful once to her. She rushed AGAIN painting my nails one solid color and I tipped her well and left. My sister had a similar experience with Louis as well. She did not like the way her nails came out, offered to pay more to have them redone and was given a poor attitude and when she returned to have the color changed, was told by Tim in front of the entire nail salon that myself, her and my mother were no longer welcome because we are "too intimidating" to the staff and "too picky"... I'm sorry but I never once thought that it was wrong of a customer to speak up about something they are PAYING for. If you went to a restaurant and they undercooked your food would you bite your tongue and eat it anyways? No. I am absolutely disgusted and disappointed with the way they do "business". It is highly unprofessional and not to mention overpriced and a complete mess when it comes to booking. I wouldn't recommend this salon to ANYONE. Today, I went for a simple gel manicure and I called ahead and made an appointment. I get there and I had a great time but my manicure wasn't exactly what I wanted but that wasn't even the worst part of my experience. After my manicure was done I went to pay and I used a giftcard which I used there before. The original amount on the card was $150 and I used it a couple weeks ago so they crossed out the $150 and wrote $70. For some reason there was a tall man working there probably in his late 40s/early 50s. He aggressively walked around the salon showing every worker my giftcard after a few minutes I asked "is there a problem?" He accused me of forging the giftcard. I was beyond confused. I used this giftcard before and never had a problem. The man persisted to question me about the giftcard at one point I specifically pointed to the lady who approved the giftcard at my last appointment. After about 10 min of me and the other workers telling him he was in the wrong he ripped up my giftcard and wrote a new one. I will NEVER be going back to expo nails. The overall experience was extremely rude and uncalled for. I threw the giftcard out. I didn't even mention the poor quality of the manicure. read more

So, your fiancee says she wants to get her nails done...you're feeling like a hell of a guy and say "sure, what the hell..." and head down Hudson-way to find a nail place. Came across this place, and frankly, I wish I'd kept driving... From my perspective, sitting in a chair and waiting...two other women came into the salon with appointments. Both of them left as the person they had the appointment with hadn't shown up. Working in customer service every day, my initial reaction was, "okay, stuff happens...do right by the customer and give them a coupon or something for a freebie next time." Apparently, not at this place. One woman sat next to me as the girl at the desk appeared to talk to the missing employee on the phone...then hung up, and sat there for a moment...and eventually told the waiting customer that the employee wasn't coming. No "I'm sorry", no nothing. The woman left. The next woman came in, employee wasn't there...she rescheduled her appointment, and rightfully asked "can you call me if she's not going to show up tomorrow either?" No. Instead, they gave her the employee's cell phone number (really???) and told HER to call and see if she was there. Just unbelievably bad service...I'll let my fiancee tell her side of the story on the actual nail job... I went in for a full set of pink and whites. My nails were cut pretty short and the girl had to glue some extensions on. When cutting them down to size, I asked her to cut them a little bit shorter, but she ignored me. I didn't make a big deal, since I figured she'd file them down with the drill bit. She didn't ask me how I wanted them shaped. I like my nails between square and rounded, but she never asked, and again I assumed she'd file them down later. I ended up with a lot of acrylic on my fingers. She spent more time cleaning off her hands than mine. My nails are too long, too boxy, and clumpy on the underside. I won't be getting my fills there. read more

The highlight of my week. I was at the supermarket today after dropping off my kids at their piano lesson and I saw this salon and figured what the hell. I had a terrible week and a terrible day and my kids have been sick all week so wanted to treat myself. I walk in and they welcome me in with open arms, are so friendly i didnt have to wait and they took me right away. The music was perfect, very soothing and relaxing. I was impressed by the playlist. I got a pedicure and a manicure and look incredible. I was so relaxed. ANd then i relized they did waxing so i figured i would go all out ad get my eyebrows and a facial and all i have to say is WOW. that facial was HEAVEN. Kim is a magical women and I have not been that relaxed in months. It was the perfect esacpe. Afterwards they brought me water and to behonest I wouldnt mind goig there every week if i will get amazing treatment like that. You are making a HUGE mistake by not going into this salon. AWFUL Salon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They used a new gel OPI polish for real nails (not the fakes) and promised that it wouldn't damage my nails, Yes, the polish last but cost an additional $15.00 and was told they have to use a special remover for it. So i went back to have it removed and the tech used a metal tool and SCRAPED the polish off my nails. Not only did she ruin the tips of my nails - she ruined the TOPS!!!!!! She made me pay $10.00 for what she did on top of this. I was so pissed I went back and demanded my money - never got an apology and was brushed off like trash.
