This place has gone down. I came in with my kids today. Just a walk in, no appointment and no one in line. Everyone was occupied so we patiently waited. Not a word was spoken to us. Not a hi, not a hello, not a, "do you have appointment?". Two customers came in after us and were greeted with friendly demeanors and did not have appointments. 10 minutes went by and they took the man that came in after us as one of the barbers finished their cut. I walked out and will never be coming back. I know they don't need my service, but it doesn't cost anything to be a nice person and say hi. read more

***Horrible service I did not feel welcome and the lady gave her unwanted option on the hair cut I requested and told me to keep my hair long because the hair cut would not look good on me and I would have to maintain it because my hair will grow back in weeks and it will " flip" first off her opinion was not wanted if you can not do the hair cut just say that don't say "it won't look good on me " when my partner called the salon after I left the salon with my feelings hurt the stylist did not take any accountability or apologize for how her words hurt a potential client this was my first and LAST time ever stepping foot in this salon would not recommend!!! ******* read more

Ashley is such a great hair cutter and super accommodating. I called to make an appointment a few days before and she was quick to put me in for a morning appointment right when she opened. It's a no frills hair cutting place, but she does an amazing job with executing what I wanted. I asked for whispy bangs with layers and she did just that! She was fast and was able to cut it within an hour. It came out to around $40 without tip. Will definitely be returning for my next haircut. read more

Charged much higher than other places, but the quality isn't great. The main issue is the service, they seemed rushes and instead of giving advice, I feel like they're judging me and listen to my requests, the staff constantly chatting amongst themselves instead of attending to clients. I've visited Expo Salon for years, and it's my go-to place for cutting hair. That being said, I only cut my hair like once a year, which is alright, except that I need to trim and get my life (hair) together sometimes, but I'm pretty lazy at doing that. I always ask for Hue, but this time around, I tried Nancy (Huong) and she was pretty good for my hair type. I don't like how she did the trimming cut, since I only asked for 4 inches, and she cut like 6, in total. I should've just donated my hair at that measurement... But it's okay. I like my hair cut after the wash. When she straightened my entire head, it was lacking in volume and shape, but after a wash, it was nicely put-together. I'm going to have to learn how to style my shorter hair, now. After not visiting this salon for a while, I forgot their interior design, but now it looks very clean, modern, and open compared to the last few times I've been here. A nice plus. But their prices have also increased over the years, to be expected. The price for my long hair cut was $35. That's fine to me, but I would probably stay away from color here. They charge around $90 and their color styles are not that great, as I've seen. But this price is very cheap, but I'll visit another salon for color. read more

For women, I would recommend calling in beforehand since there are usually appointments already set and it takes much longer for y'all to do what you need to do =) The quality of the cut is pretty good, which also includes a shampooing of your hair. There are very little missed spots, and I haven't left unsatisfied yet. Sure the stylists are gossipping as they cut everyone's hair, but that's all part of the fun. I asked my hair stylist to cut off an inch of my hair he proceeded to trim off like 3 inches and thinned my hair out excessively when he wasn't instructed to do so. my hair is extremely thin from my ends and to top it off he had the straightener on the HIGHEST heat and went over a piece of hair like a million times. any good and educated stylist who knows what they're doing knows that is the biggest no ever its like he watched one YouTube video on how to cut hair and thought he knew what he was doing. also I have a middle part and he sectioned my hair to the side my shit was so uneven y'all. retard stylist read more

Disclaimer: I'm a guy with short hair, but not so short that I can just use a clipper with the biggest guide comb. If you're a guy and keep your hair length under 2 inches, then anyone there can cut your hair to your satisfaction and you can probably skip making an appointment. On the other hand if you like to keep your hair longer I recommend making an appointment with Nancy. I have had most if not all the people that work there cut my hair, Nancy was the only one that I was happy with. Nancy does get quite a lot of younger customers also, so if you're looking for someone to cut your kids hair you might want to give her a try. My step mom also has her hair done by Nancy, so yes, she can cut women's hair and whatever else women do to their hair. My sister used to get her hair done for many years by the only guy that works there, so if you have long hair and Nancy doesn't work for you, you should try him. A haircut (for a guy) will cost you $12 (before tip, AFAIK). The $12 haircut comes with a hair wash if you want it (Nancy always asks me), I usually get it before the haircut. After a bit of reading it seems I should get my hair cut while it's dry and then get it washed. The opening of the Asian (Vietnamese?) shopping center next door seems to be weeks or months away from now, so that's another excuse for stopping by. read more

I don't do anything particularly unique with my hair, I just get it cut to my shoulders and then let it grow to mid-back length, and off it goes again. I came in wanting a trim and to relayer my hair and since this place only charges you $22 I decided to give this place a try. I told the lady I didn't want a blunt cut but the way she was cutting my hair made me feel so uncomfortable. I reminded her again to not make it blunt and she told me " I haven't texturized it yet"... Okay. Long story short the bottom of my hair is thinned out and the layers are so uneven. I have short hair and it's easy to tell what is wrong with it. I don't like my haircut and I didn't like it off the bat when she started cutting. Great cheap place for a haircut. I've had my haircut by two or three of the people there and they've ranged from average to awesome cuts. The price makes up for any issues though as it's in the mid $20 range for a women's cut. Pretty talented staff and the place usually has a wait.
