I needed my LG dishwasher repaired under warranty. I called and scheduled a time; Bart called 15 minutes before arrival to confirm the time he would arrive. Quickly diagnosed the problem (burnt out electrical component in pump), but they did not have the part. The thing to know with an LG dishwasher repair under warranty is that it is up to the owner to contact LG and order the part. So we had to contact LG and have LG send the part to Express Appliance. LG of course does not provide a timeline or estimate of when the part is sent. Fortunately, we got the part quickly and scheduled the next repair. Highly recommend this company. We have used them for years and they are always very responsive, professional, honest and a good value. The technicians are always great and very knowledgeable and courteous. My oven broke recently and they tracked down a part very quickly that the manufacturer quoted several weeks on. My washer broke over the weekend and they still responded and scheduled me for the next business day. Every-time I've needed help, they've been punctual and did the work without any issues. Unfortunately my appliances are tired and old, but they've given me extra value by fixing things reasonably enough versus needing to replace an entire appliance. When something is hopeless, they've been honest about that too. If they cannot repair something within reason or due to obsolete parts at least you know it's trusted advice. I appreciate how much knowledge it takes to be an excellent technician and more so when a company is so nice to deal with every time. read more

Used this company twice. Igor helped us with both service calls. Fair pricing and honest service. Over range microwave intermittently working. Igor found that the door switch was broken. Quick fix and ta-da...works again. Two weeks later, our freezer stopped working. Igor's primary diagnosis was a lack of Freon (pressure not in normal range). He was upfront that recharging Freon may not work or last (unsure where/why Freon leaked out), but left it up to us to decide. Price for Freon recharge was not bad (versus buying a new refrigerator) so we chose to recharge. It's been over a month since Igor recharged our Freon and freezer still working. Sergei was extremely professional. My microwave stopped heating. He was sure it was the magatron, but once he checked it he found that it was working correctly. I so appreciated his honesty, because he could have totally bamboozled me into thinking I needed an expensive repair. Much to my surprise the microwave just needed to be unplugged and plugged back in again...kinda like the your printer or computer. Totally surprising right? So weird, but what do I know about microwave ovens? He also reminded me I just needed to turn off the breaker instead of removing the microwave. This whole experience was very impressive. I own a property in North County San Diego and I was notified that the washing machine wasn't working. This Whirlpool top load washing machine had been used ever since I have owned this property back in 2006. From what was described to me, I knew immediately that it was a faulty lid switch. Honestly, I was really surprised that the machine had lasted this long and with 4 different tenants! I contacted various repair shops within the region via Yelp and got back several responses. A couple needed additional information, one wanted to come out and assess and charge me an assessment fee, and Express was able to notify me immediately a quote and availability. I had been corresponding with Cezar via Yelp messaging, and I was really impressed with my transaction. It was a bit challenging to coordinate scheduling with my tenant (not Express' concern or issue), but was able to schedule for next day service. Cezar offered days/ times, and the service was immediate and prompt. From what I heard from my tenant, Igor was sent to repair the washer within the time frame scheduled and was professional. A couple weeks later, my tenant notified me that the washer was acting up again and wasn't spinning during the wash cycle. I contacted Cezar via Yelp messaging, and he corresponded with me immediately. I notified him about the issue and he was able to inform me of what he thought the issue was and a quote. Although, the machine's spin issue was resolved on its own and I notified Cezar, I was really happy with the response time and ability to correspond quickly with my issues. The prices are very reasonable and response time for inquiries were very quick. I appreciate that very much in a small owned business. The company was very responsive and had a technician out within a few hours of my call. Igor was a great technician. I had an issue with my fridge door not closing. I thought maybe the seal needed replacing, and within 5 minutes of looking at it, he was able to explain to me that the door was slightly butting up against the cabinet and that was what was preventing it from fully closing. With an ever slight adjustment, the issue was entirely resolved. I felt a little stupid!! But anyway he also went to the teouble to explain to me since the freezer had melted and refrozen that I should empty the ice maker as when it refreezes it could damage the ice maker. I found our dishwasher power just goes off after washing the dishes and never process to the heating cycle. We texted our problem to company and they reached us pretty quickly so we could schedule easily without several calls. And the technician Igor was very patient and took a quite some time to inspect our dishwasher. He detected the possible problems and also pointed out it could be electric problem. Here are the facts on our experience with Express Appliance Service: - we called yesterday (Fri) afternoon to explain we had a leak in our refrigerator & inquired about Sat hours, cost to come out, etc. Sarah was super helpful & friendly. -after realizing we could fix it ourselves, we called Sat morning at 8:30am, Cesar said someone would be there between Noon-3pm -Tech arrived right a Noon, found the problem, quickly fixed it, only charged us the $45 service fee. -Everyone we encountered from Express Appliance Service was honest, friendly, and polite. I had a great experience with Bart at Express Appliance as he is the first tech I have had out from at least 2 other companies that was finally able to get my retractable Viking downdraft exhaust fan working again. Granted, the other 2 companies were under my first year of complimentary home warranty but they hardly even tried. Bart came out and opened up the whole unit to see what was wrong with the fan and why it was no longer extending and retracting. Once he realized the gear motor and vent hood needed to be replaced he ordered the parts. I got a text from Express Appliance about a week and a half later saying the parts were in and to schedule a follow up visit. Bart arrived and got right to work. He is very personable and nice fellow who answered all my questions as I watched him work. It took some adjusting and fine tuning but he got the fan working! Believed me it was not a straightforward process but he got the job done. On the same visit Bart also replaced the spark module on the Viking cooktop. Replacing the module didn't take too long, but getting access to it is unbelievably tedious. But as with the exhaust fan, Bart got it done. All in all easy 5 stars for Bart at Express Appliance. Also, if you are considering purchasing a Viking motorized downdraft fan, I'd recommend against it. It was in the house from the original owners but it has too many moving parts for something that should be simple like an exhaust fan. No doubt it is fancy but I would go with something simpler. read more

My over the range microwave died two weeks ago and Express Appliance told me to schedule install of new one once I received it. They put me on the schedule the very next day after I called and Bart came today (on Memorial Day) to install it. The old one had been jury rigged by someone who didn't know how to install it and it required a lot of work to get the venting corrected. Bart not only installed the microwave but went and got the new venting parts it needed and came back today to finish the job when someone else canceled their time slot. The estimation is 45 dollars for a washer. The technician came super fast and on time one the same I called which is a big plus for washer repair. Ingir (not sure the spelling) took his inspection seriously and checked all parts of the washer and explained to me the problem and offered an estimation. He suggested me not spending 600-700 dollar to change seal and motor, but to buy a new washer considering mine was used more than 10 years.
