When I walked in, there were no other patients waiting and no receptionist at the desk. I said "hello" because no one was in sight, and instead of being greeted, I was yelled at from the back to "sit down," in the same tone you would use to command a dog. Only later did I realize that the person yelling at me was not only the receptionist but also the one who would draw my blood. She was rude from the beginning and even admitted she hadn't had a chance to go to the bathroom, but she took that out on me by raising her voice and snapping at me simply because I said hello loudly enough for someone to hear. When my phone died and I needed help contacting my doctor, she refused to call, refused to even look up the doctor's number, and offered no support at all. This came right after a horrible experience at the Labcorp in Bowie, and although the dynamics were slightly different, the level of poor professionalism at the Gambrills office was just as shocking. Between being yelled at for just trying to get someone's attention, treated like an inconvenience instead of a patient, and denied basic help with contacting my doctor, I left feeling disrespected and unsafe. I also called Labcorp corporate about these issues and discovered that, just like with the Bowie location, nothing meaningful is done to address the problem. At this point, it is clear to me that there is a serious culture and training issue, not just "one bad day" or "one bad employee." As someone with experience in business consulting and professional development, I know this location can do much better. With the right training in empathy, communication, and patient care, you could dramatically reduce complaints like mine and rebuild patient trust. I'm happy to say, though, this location is top notch, especially recently. I'm not sure I would have said that before they moved from just down the parking lot, but this location suits them better I guess. My last draw was just before their lunch break, which I felt bad about, but it was the best time I could find. They were super cool with it, though, and expertly drew my blood with minimal pain and zero discomfort afterwards! Not always a given, to be honest. Sometimes, you get a bump or a nasty bruise, but this one barely left a mark. Their staff is efficient, but friendly. They explain things very matter-of-factually and walk you through the process if you have any questions. Overall, nice experience, if you HAVE to get any lab tests done. Nobody is a fan of needles (right?), but they make the process almost painless (besides the needle).

They were patient with us in getting us set up since we were missing paperwork that we should have brought with us. Both of the ladies who were working had to take turns trying to draw my blood because I was not hydrated enough and they were having a hard time. Fortunately, on the third try they were successful. I appreciated them explaining what I can do to avoid that issue in the future, and appreciate their patience and not just giving up and telling me to come back. There are plenty of Quest Diagnostics in the area, but we will definitely go back to this location if we have a choice because we appreciated their patience and kindness.

An inspector's job is to draw attention to concerns about the home. Being honest, even-keeled and understanding how to present this info to a buyer, especially a first timer is imperative. That information has to be presented in a clear manner in the report so that issues found can be resolved. That being said, we trusted Bob to inspect our own home when we purchased it in 2018, and referred my sister to him when she purchased hers. I refer all of my clients to him and they are consistently happy with both him and his reporting.

After roughly 4 hours I left without ever seeing a doctor or nurse. I feel this visit was a waste of time and a complete insurance scam. As far as I can tell your company doesn't care about the people who come to you for care. Patient First should be called Patients money first, patient Care when we feel like it. SCHEDULING: I got a same-day appointment here, which is really great. I was going to have to wait a…read morewhole 'nother week to get an ultrasound somewhere else. Evidently, they take walk ins for x-rays, but you need an appointment for other imaging like ultrasounds and mammograms. APPEARANCES: Both the office and the staff look professional and well kept. I thought it was a little strange that the only magazines they have are Sports Illustrated, ESPN Magazine, and other sports publications. The TV was playing a poker tournament, so maybe they cater to a specific crowd? Anyhow, I definitely noticed all the sports stuff. POLICIES: They don't allow you to take any pictures or videos inside the office, which I think means they don't want you to take pictures of your own x-rays or ultrasounds. But maybe there is some other reason... The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way, was that the ultrasound technician wouldn't let me watch what she was doing on the screen. I asked if I could see, and she said there was not really anything to see... I interpreted that as her assuming I wouldn't know what I was looking at, so she didn't want to take the time to tilt the screen in my direction. Guess what, though? They're my guts and if I want to see them, humor me dadgummit! At the end, when I asked her if I could look at the images, she said the radiologist had to look at them first, and she couldn't review anything with a patient. It seems pretty ridiculous to me not to let a patient watch their own ultrasound on the screen and then not let them look at the images at the end either. I don't know if that was her own personal policy or one that the office holds to. TOTAL TIME: I walked in at 3:20 p.m. and walk out at 3:34 p.m. Very quick turnaround! OVERALL: I would come here again if I needed x-rays or other imaging. Next time however, I think I'll be more assertive asking to see my images. But overall it was a quick and painless experience.
