The system generates a day and time for an MRI BUT, it shows a morning appointment open with a date. Trouble is MRI's are NOT done in the morning at the Bowie location so your appointment is in limbo land. I was lucky enough to be 5 min away and just drove there but not everyone is lucky enough to be that close. Tried to chat with tech support but guess what That doesn't work either. The business was WAY better off when it was called Chesapeake because name changes aren't always a plus.... Want to make an appointment? You better call and deal with all of the AI automation crap. The service is okay once all of the BS is delt with first.

As I entered, I noticed the waiting room was very bright and clean…read more I went to the window and was quickly checked in, then given some paperwork to fill out before I was called back. As I sat down, waiting to be called back, I noticed an underwater beach scene playing on the television. The water was clear and you could see fish. This is the closest to snorkeling that I will come. It was very pleasant imagery with soft ocean sounds. So soothing to the eyes and ears. The sound was broken by my name being called to go back. I went to the back and was asked my name and birthdate as well as a series of body medal related questions. I was given a room to change in as well as a key to lock the door. After I put on my gown it was off to the X-ray room where I was given earplugs and instructed to lay on my back on a table. A pillow was placed under my legs and what felt like a head brace was placed on my head to keep my head still. I was then inserted into what looked like a giant white tube. The test lasted about 45 minutes. While I was in the tube I heard a series of banging noises as well as what seemed like energy passing around me. After the test was done I changed my clothes and went back to the waiting room to pay my co-pay as well as receive my disc and receipt. The staff was really nice and informative. I recommend this location and would go back if I needed to.

I was still a bit nervous but the technician was very friendly and accomdating. I was thrilled when I woke up and heard the machine stop shortly followed by the door opening :-)

I was told repeatedly by CR that my Dexa bone density scan would be fully covered by Medicare…read more Medicare covers it every 2 years (3 years since my last one). They entered an additional GA medical code at the end of the Medicare code, which meant to Medicare that the scan should not be covered. When I called asking to change the code so Medicare would cover it, they said my signature approved the code -- something I would not have done if they hadn't told me each time I spoke with someone that the scan was fully covered. This strikes me as potentially being fraudulent or unethical. They tell you one thing but then hand you a pile of papers that each needs to be signed and you have no chance of actually reading the legal-eze (even if read you might not understand it). Medicare only pays $45 for the scan but they are billing me nearly 3 times as much. What they did may be a way to increase their revenues for a low-profit procedure.

Each time he attempted to start the line, he dug deeply into the areas, I screamed & cried from severe pain of him digging almost to the bone of both arms and my hand. His attempts were unsuccessful. He mentioned this to the nurse, who responded it wasn't their fault they weren't able to find a vein as i was leaving this location. This facility should be investigated. It's been 3 weeks and my hand is still bruised. Assuming she was a nurse, she made no effort to see if she could assist, not a place to ever return. They both were of different cultures, not caring. The pain I encountered would never have occurred if Male tech had asked for assistance initially, but he punched the needle deep into the veins, and wasn't able to start the medicine. Three strikes, I returned to put my clothes on and left.

I hate that I don't remember the technician's name, but getting mammograms can horrible. Even though the machine hurt, she was gentle and kind! I am mostly writing a review because of my call today. I do not have my reports after waiting 10 days - this waiting is agony. I called and spoke with Mary Helen. She was soooooo kind and thoughtful about how the waiting must have been weighing on me that I almost cried. She apologized for the wait and told me that someone should be calling in the next few days b/c the report had been assigned to a radiologist. I told her that it is important for caregivers to do what she just did. That office is super busy. When I went on the 20th, it was packed! However, I was in and out in 20ish minutes. This is my second visit. Both times, the people were more than kind. Now, let's pray for favorable results!

The parking lot is huge, but the spaces are rather small, considering the size of Alexa. But fear not, great people, UR has their OWN parking directly in front of the building. I was totally bummed that I missed this at first. You can enter UR from outside, or from inside the larger building. The waiting room is nice in size, and they serve coffee and water. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Customer areas were nicely kept.

Clean waiting room and friendly staff. I didn't have an appointment and they took me. Now that I know about this place I'm not going to go to CRI anymore. This place is much nicer and way easier in so many ways.
