Sylvan Medical Center - Dr. Omrani is a very kind and understanding doctor, who does his best to help me to be the best I can, while dealing with chronic pain.

Danny Sorenson. Let me just update this review since I came back in again today I yelled and screamed at by the receptionist I'm always trying to be respectful I'm the patient and I'm getting treated like horseshit she yells and screams at you tells me it's my fault I don't understand what's going on it's like you can't get help when you need it the doctor is my opinion is one of the best and I stand by that but his nurses are the worst attitude ever I stand by that

I can't speak for their normal urgent care services- this review is for their Covid testing…read more Free PCR Covid tests and $89 rapid tests (I'd recommend getting a free rapid test at Hummingbird down the street instead). You walk up, call a phone number on the door and tell them you're there for a Covid test. Someone brings you out a clipboard which you fill out. You wait 20-30 minutes in line outside, get your nose swabbed, then get the PCR results within about 24 hours. The first time I got a PCR test, I didn't get the result emailed to me in 24 hours and when I called, it sounded like the lab was running behind, but they got it to me in about 28 hours. So nice to have free PCR tests! Thankful for them.

I continue to be in awe, of the services that this particular doctor, and her assistant, Anait provides. So much so, that because of BOTH their consistent expertise, professionalism, compassion, and trustworthiness, not only do I continue to have this doctor, if her office no longer takes my insurance, I will still pay an out of pocket expense. I have NEVER, in my 50 years of living, had such a good doctor. But here is the most important thing about Dr. Topaldjikian and Anait, they have been CONSISTENTLY excellent, not just to me, but to other patients,. I saw several cards that was posted on their desk detailing what great doctors and what a good office they have. That is why it pains me to see the one negative review. I'm going to operate under the assumption that the person who left that negative review, must have placed it with the wrong doctor! Why else would there be nothing but five star reviews, and one star review from 5 months ago. I will continue to advocate for this office as a wonderful Health Center for the community at large. Please choose this doctor, the 1-star review not withstanding!

She allows you the space to fully explain your symptoms and thoughtfully addresses every question. Her follow-up care is exceptional -- she personally calls with blood test results, which shows how much she truly cares about her patients. The office atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is always kind and helpful. I have never had difficulty making an appointment, and even in urgent situations, she is willing to stay and see you if needed. I highly recommend her.

You get multiple opinions at one time and there's always someone with a new idea. Science is alive and well at Cedars Sinai. The staff is amazing. The nurses and the clinical partners work as a team. No one ever waits for the other one to do their job. They do their jobs together. It's very proficient and efficient. Even the cleaning people are friendly. They always have a smile on a good morning. I think whoever hires staff at Cedars deserves accolades for their ability to find the best of the best in every aspect of the hospital. Believe it or not I enjoyed the food. I more than often ordered the salmon and the sweet pea soup. I was moved to a long-term care Hospital and I really miss the salmon :0) I would give Cedars Sinai 10 stars if I could.

Unfortunately, the administration needs to address the patient care experience. My father has been in a hallway instead of a hospital room for two days. He has had no privacy, has been forced to sleep with the hallway lights on all night, and has no direct access to a bathroom. While I understand hospitals can become overcrowded, these conditions are not appropriate for any patient and make an already difficult situation even more stressful for both patients and their families. The medical staff has done an outstanding job despite these circumstances, but the hospital administration needs to ensure patients receive the basic dignity, privacy, and accommodations they deserve.

They are great and caring. The only person preventing an overall 5 stars is due to their physical therapist named DAVE. He is the most sarcastic, snide, condescending and unbearable person I have ever met in the health care space. And having to deal with his careless, nonchalant attitude while in recovery made my recovery very uncomfortable. He blatantly would disrespect his coworkers and doctors in front of me and treated me as if I was stupid if I would inquire about ANYTHING. You can feel the discomfort/patience of the case managers, nurses, doctors and anyone that dealt with him while I was there. Almost like they know that's just how he is daily. He mentioned that he has been there for 30 years, so he gives off an "I don't care, I'm retiring soon" attitude which translates to the way he treats people. Anyways, 5 stars to the nurses and docs. But my experience with Dave was just horrible.

And to make matters more difficult, the drive into LA was long...and I had to use the bathroom...eek! As I walked to the busy food area, I walked passed the medical center and figured....they should have a bathroom. And they did! Solving my first problem and ready to eat, I was exiting but walked passed the busy in-house cafeteria. Wow was it busy! I was here...so I decided to check it out...and it was fantastic. There were many food stations and everything being made to order. Why walk down to the populated busy food area when there are wonderful options so close by! There were almost too many options...but I decided on the tostada salad. I got it loaded with beans, chicken, lettuce, cheese, olives, green onion, and pico...all on top of a baked shell. It was very delicious and as a combo, it came with a medium drink...which all totaled about eleven dollars. If I need to go to Pauley Pavilion again...I will stop here for sure!

I received a phone message from UCLA saying my Health Insurance denied my lung cancer surgery…read morescheduled for a week away. I called my Health Insurance and they said "nonsense, it had been approved weeks earlier" and I held the Willie Wonka golden ticket best coverage possible. UCLA never contacted me correcting their false information and it was hell living through this trying to get it corrected. On top of that: My letter to UCLA patient care: I was a patient at UCLA Reagan about 2 months ago. 16 gauge needles were incorrectly used, way over sized, improperly placed and could have caused nerve damage in my hand. If you disagree I have several seasoned, experienced RNs on hand that would gladly discuss this with you. They were horrified at my treatment, as were some UCLA hospital staff. Read that; some. After my surgery I awoke from anesthesia in recovery. No pain medication was available because the pharmacy was closed for lunch an hour then it would be another hour after it opened to fill the prescription. Think about having a lung resection and awaking to excruciating pain no relief. I reported these nightmares to UCLA Patient Care and no one is listening, no response. No supervision during these ordeals either. Days later Doctors approved my release and the staff forgot about me. Family waiting to take me home and I was lost in the system. Is anyone paying attention to patient care? You claim you listen and you care, in all sincerity I have heard nothing after reporting all this. I have a legitimate concern, and I am being ignored. Nurses say I was the best patient ever, so it's nothing triggering these horror experiences that I did.
