Came in person awhile back and met with a worker. Spoke on my interests and my work experience for that specific field. Told me I seemed like a great fit and would stay in touch with me and never did. I emailed multiple times to follow up and still no feedback or response. Terrible. Depends on the location that you go to, I have worked through express in Washington State and they would tell me ahead of time if a certain assignment was ended and they were looking to help the client get set up with a full time position. Here in Oklahoma, I have worked for express for nearly half a year now and I was expecting to go into work this morning on Monday when I received a text from express saying "Hell This is Express Employment in Bricktown. The assignment you've been working at was completed. Do not report back. If you're interested in finding something new call us back at (425) xxx-xxxx or send us an email! Thank you!" They gave me absolutely no heads up at all, and to make matters worse, told me that I was about to get hired on with the company with a raise and the company also told me that. Don't waste your time with this place. They will give you the run around from day one. Michael (from the "south office") will waste your time interviewing you, supposedly taking notes. Then he will call you back asking you to send him your resume. After you uploaded it to their website. He will dodge your calls until he feels the need to fill his roster to make it seem like he has people ready for a job. Total BS. Then you have Chad who will make it seem like he has you lined up for a job. And waste your time just like his fellow employee Michael did. This company utilizes deceptive marketing tactics, and I highly encourage everyone to steer clear! My husband submitted an application on the CalJobs board for a position with Granite Construction Incorporated. The post appeared legitimate, but the interview call came from Linda at Express Employment Professionals. My husband is an executive level accountant with a masters degree and Linda asked him to come in for approximately 2.5 hours of "testing." It all seemed a bit sketchy. We contacted Granite Construction Incorporated and they are most definitely NOT hiring for the position that was posted on the CalJobs website. In fact, they are aware that their name is being used fraudulently by companies who are trying to take money from individuals desperate to find employment. I was told I had to come here and be processed for a job I had acquired. This company is extremely unprofessional. I ended up turning down the job because I don't want anything to do with express even if it is only for two weeks. I was lied to and had words put in my mouth by express. They called my new employer and told them things I did not say. They want to take my pay even tho I did not utilize their services. They want to take $3hr from me just for 1.5 hrs worth of work to process me? That's $24 a day?!? Please check out these hiring agencies if you must use one. Express is extremely unprofessional, if you are using express to find employees I'd advise you to either do it on your own or find another conpany. It's always better to screen your own candidates but I understand some companies use these services for different reasons. I found this on my own and the pay rate is 13-14hr. I agreed on 14 plus commisand when I went into express they wanted to pay me 11.50 after already negotiating my pay. Attached is a screenshot of the job I applied for three indeed directly to the company. Thank you express for the generic response. I provided facts that cannot be disputed. If a client is being referred for processing you should not be charging clients, especially not at such a high rate. This policy hurts both the employer and the employee. Only express benefits from over charging their clients. Other hiring agencies charge much less, have better reviews, and provide much better service. Express states their services are free yet they charge me for them? Lol yeah ok. Again nothing but lied and excuses from this unprofessional company. Our business was looking for a temporary employee for a maternity leave position I contacted Express Employment Professionals because when I met with the representative she had said that there are a lot of applicants who are readily available to work when needed. She had also said that we could call them even if we needed someone for one day there have been a couple of times we needed someone and I called and then cancelled because we found someone before they did. The last time I called for a one day temporary position she said "We dont really do one day positions"......uh okay thank you for the help I'll call when a longer position is needed. Fast forward a couple of months and I've contacted the company about the maternity leave position and the same rep said that she would work on it right away. I e-mailed them a couple days after just check on the status they responded and said they had found someone and will be ready to start as soon as Wednesday (this was on a Monday.) I get an e-mail on Wednesday morning saying that the employee is not able to start that day but she will come in on Friday okay that's fine no worries. Friday rolls around and I get another e-mail saying that the employee was not coming in again and that they are sorry they will work on another replacement. At this point I was fine with it I understand that people are not that serious about temp positions I get it. However after I get the last e-mail saying they are working on it I tried to e-mail her back to get an update and shes on vacation... um...okay maybe shes got someone else working on it I'll just hang tight. One month later....no e-mail, no call, no apologies they couldn't find anyone to fill the position...that was it she was on vacation. They may be great for people who are serious about a temporary job however, I definitely will not contacting them again for an available temporary position. It would be nice if they were honest and said up front that they didn't have many qualified people for the position but that they will do what they can. Before he spoke with me, he made sure I had time to hear him out regarding his company. I get calls like this constantly at my work so at first I wasn't too pleased, but his mannerism over the phone was quite pleasant. We were on the phone no longer than 10 minutes and I gave him my email so he can send me additional information. The email he had sent me was knowledgeable and I had forward it to my supervisor as his services will best fit He came in to visit me today, which was a surprise, and he gave me a nice little gift: notepad, pen and a letter opener. He kindly introduced himself and wanted to stop by and show appreciation that I had given him some time to talk to him. He was very polite and not pushy at all which is awesome! After submitting an application online, when I finally spoke to someone from the company, I was told I would be receiving an email where I would have to attach my resume. I had done that on the website, and had sent it to an Express Employment Professionals employee already, so I was frustrated, and made my opinion known. A girl named Julia told me she didn't want to schedule an interview with me because I was "getting confrontational," and that when I want a job I "shouldn't force someone to hire me right away." I apologized, and promised to email my resume. Because of her mistreatment of me, I did not send my resume, and deleted my application instead.
