I was scheduled for a video conference with a representative at 8am. The video call was not opened to join identifying "waiting for employer to begin meeting" . The delay was over 30 minutes with no contact from anyone at the S. Pasadena office to relay any information regarding the issue. I called, and was only able to 1. Text, or 2. Leave a vm. After texting, I still had to call and leave a vm before finally receiving a text from the original interviewing agent stating "im in the all now (40 minutes after the scheduled appointment) if you can join. In attempting to join, the link i had received for the appointment no longer allowed me to join at which point I asked for a new link. Crickets for a response, then I asked for status and was told "sorry, I cant help with any issues on your end" asked for a phone call, again, crickets. Im leaving an extensive review to make sure that this agency is aware of how unprofessional Sade Marie is conducting business as a face of their organization. Please accept my request for a review of this conduct and address the issue as necessary. Its absurd to think an agency trying to make a name for themselves in the industry to accept this type of character to represent them. read more

I don't appreciate the customer service I had received from Ms. Sade she had scheduled an interview with me as of yesterday confirmed for 11 am-11:30, She failed to email me or contact me the entire day. I am fortunate to have used Express Employment (South Pasadena) for both hiring employees and now as an actual employee myself. I knew they were very careful and vetted employees when I needed to hire someone as every temp we had thru express employment we hired permanently when the contract expired. Now on the other side of the coin, I became unemployed and Val in the South Pasadena branch found me an amazing job so fast. She helped me thru the whole process, negotiated an amazing hourly rate and even got me hired on permanently before my contract was up because I mentioned to her that my husband was laid-off and I needed to find alternate medical insurance. I cannot say enough about Express Employment and especially Val in South Pasadena. Customer service seems to be a dying art but not at Express Employment. Nowadays, you never know what's a scam, so I kept my guard up. However, employment agencies are totally legit. When you go in, they have you fill out an application if you haven't already done so online, then they have a casual interview. Ben was the one I spoke to about my skills and what kind of job I was looking for. He was very nice and I really felt like he was sincere about finding the right job for me. After that, I took some computer proficiency tests, and less than a week later, I have a job. They really pulled through! I'm hired! I applied for a job via Craigslist that Express had put out. Ben Rogers called me back and was so kind, professional and helpful. He really went the extra mile to help me secure this position. I am normally very hesitant to work with "staffing companies" as in my experience, they usually post non-existent jobs to get people to apply and come in to get into their database. They never really help you find a job and require you to do all of the work. Not Express and Ben Rogers. When we thought the position I had applied for might go in another direction, Ben assured me that he would stick with me no matter what and help me find the right job for me. This is, hands down, one of the most amazing agencies that I've had the pleasure of dealing with. I, like many, found them through an ad on Craiglist, and was very impressed with how the helpfulness and overall knowledge of their staff, especially Ben and Bruce. I had never been to Pasadena before, so Ben helped me find the easiest route there from my area. Once I was there, he didn't give me the impersonal 'you are just a temp' feeling I've gotten from certain other employment agencies. He was able to transfer information from my local express office in Covina, and got the ball rolling right away. After being placed as active through their office, it was less than two weeks before I was sent out for my first interview through them, and I was immediately placed! Better still, the office I started at was only about a 5 minute bus ride from the Express office. Talk about a model of convenience! Over a year later, there was a downturn at the company at which I was placed, and I was let go, along with several other others. I went straight back to Express and told them what happened. Less than three hours later, they had found me a new placement. I know this is an amazingly unbelievable feat, and will be likely very hard to replicate, it wouldn't have happened in the first place if Ben and Bruce of Express in South Pasadena didn't run things as well as they do. I've recently found myself on the hunt again, and this Express office was the very first place I called. I know they'll do their very best to help me however possible. If you are searching for a job, I don't care if Pasadena is 'a little bit of a jaunt'. It's worth going out of your comfort zone to have these guys working with you. I went in for an interview back in Nov and met with Greg. First I had to do a profile and sign paperwork. While with Greg we chatted about jobs that they may have and what I would like. Normal, I thought. So I did test. I did another test. After that I did another test. Finally, there was another tested. I was tired and hungry and felt like I was a hostage. I was contacted by one of their agents about an assignment and within hours of agreement, I get my appointment set up for two days later and THEN I was informed about getting the job on the same day!
