They proceeded to charge me $212.66 for reading a code which O'reilly did for free in about 5 minutes. Charged me $182.87 for labor, just for that. They want to charge me $500 for parts and $330 for labor to fix the car, a total over $1,000. I found the parts online for $150 and saw that it would take about two hours to fix according to multiple websites. I would have paid up to $500 for this fix but they wanted to charge double. Stay away unless you want to get ripped off.

In that time I've tried several different auto repair places always to leave disappointed. I live in Bellview and drive by Nevels nearly every day. After having taken my vehicle to the dealership and not getting satisfaction I thought "what the heck" and stopped at Nevels. The lady at the counter was polite, answered my questions and set up a time for me to bring the car in. After the repairs were completed at a reasonable price I thought I still had a leak. Upon returning the mechanic pointed out that what I saw dripping was condensate from the a/c. He also pointed out another issue that needed to be taken care of sooner rather than later. I scheduled the repairs, they had them done in a timely manner. My granddaughter recently moved back to the PNS area and her car was in need of minor repairs. Nevels not only got her in within a day they had everything taken care of on time. One of the issues was a bad headlamp that had failed previously. They replaced the bulb, all was okay until a week later when it failed. I took the car back in the morning, the lady at the counter called around eleven to say we could pick up the car. The problem was found and taken care of at no additional cost. They stand behind their work and that makes a world of difference to me. I didn't rate it as a 5 since there's always room for improvement, but I will certainly continue to use Nevels for any auto repairs in the future.

I thought I'd be paying more not going to a national chain like pepboys, but the prices were great PLUS I got a good discount for being a rideshare driver. The mechanic told me that my car (2013 Honda CR-V) required Synthetic oil. I looked at him since that did not sound right. He told me that he was not lying to me, so I took his word. I asked him if I could use the discount coupon that the company sent me, and he said, "yes". When the service was finished, and I got my receipt, I noticed that the discount was not added and asked him about it. He said he forgot to tell the other worker and sorry. Did not say he could correct it or not. I looked at my vehicle manual and the last receipt (Invoice # 00635-2119) and noticed that my vehicle did not require synthetic oil as he had told me. My other receipt showed that MAX OF (premium oil) had been used. I believe this individual saw that I was elderly and decided to take advantage of me. He lied and he was not honest with me. I sent a message to the company on their web site and they never responded. I can only assume that their business practice is to up sale regardless of vehicle requirements
