This pharmacy is located near my workplace on Stockdale Hwy and I visit this establishment quite a bit since the nearest store/gas station is a little down the ways. I have come here a few times to pick up medication for someone else and they have always filled the prescription quickly and in a timely manner. What I like about this place is that their drinks and their snacks are really cheap. I like that they don't overcharge since they are the only pharmacy from walking distance from me. You'd be surprised, but they have tons of snacks and surprisingly.... they sell my favorite candy here (Kinder Bueno); which is a London candy bar that I can only find at international stores and now here. Staff is always really nice and very professional. I read other reviews and they had bad experiences here, which was really surprising to me as I have never had a bad experience when I come in. They are even open on Saturday's which is a plus for working people. I do have to say that I came in once to ask if they sold hearing aid batteries as my oldest son is deaf and needed batteries for his aids and they didn't sell it here. That's the only downside from my end. read more

This is absolutely my favorite pharmacy that I've ever had. I have been going here over 11 years. I love going here because all the staff are extremely nice and helpful. The wait times for filling are very fast and they also have an automatic refill option in which they send you a text and or call when they are ready and I personally love this option to have. They also have free next day delivery which I have used when either my car stopped working or was sick, it's really convenient. I have never had an issue here which says a lot. They make me feel welcome and like family. I just love that they have a variety of options for you that's not only convenient but that other pharmacies don't have. I'm really amazed that I found a pharmacy like this and they will have my business for as long as they exist. read more

I needed to buy hand sanitizer for an at risk person. The only place that had any was the Express Pharmacy. I had no choice but to pay their price gouging price of $32 for a 40 ounce bottle. Smart and Final sells them for $5.49 when they have them in stock. Express Pharmacy is despicable and should be ashamed of themselves!! read more

I've been using this pharmacy because I needed delivery service since 2016. I haven't been very happy. The staff doesn't seem to know what they are doing and often rude on the phone. For the most part delivery has been good, but the staff is not very efficient. Ive asked several times not to use my debit card on file, that I will pay when delivered and they did and overdrawn my account. It seems that the unpolite staff is to blame. The pharmacist is very nice and has often had to correct my orders. Pretty frustrated with this pharmacy and just about time to find another pharmacy that delivers. read more

Totally forgot about this place ... I was in the bakersfield area around the holidays to visit family, when my mom got sick :(. after a short visit to a local doc office, it was time to get her meds. She usually gets her prescription filled at Walgreens, and I was actually on my there when i stumbled on this local pharmacy. It was right next to the doc office, and yea i was a bit lazy to drive an extra mile, but I'm really glad I did stop by there. The staff is super friendly and very professional. There were a few people in there when I walked, and the pharmacist seemed to take his time with each customer explaining the do's and don't's of their medication. When it was my turn, I dropped on my mom's prescription and I was told that it would take some time to prep it. Now get this, they offered to deliver the medicine FOR FREE. I wish there was a service like that in the east bay. My mom doesn't have any insurance so we're used to paying out of pocket, and I was really happy to know that their prices are very reasonable. Anyways, again, really great service, and cool staff. If I was local, I would def. be back again (but hopefully not because me or moms are really sick and need meds asap, but you get the idea :-) ) read more

Express Pharmacy - Front entrance - Drugstores Near Me - Bakersfield, California

This place is not very professional. The people are nice enough but they are of very little help when only the pharmacist can sign off on on a prescription. So if he isn't there you aren't leaving with anything. Came in around 11am and they said he was "out to lunch" and to come back in 30 mins. Not a huge deal, people are entitled to their lunch and it was lunch time. Came back over an hour later and he is still "at lunch". I guess I should have been a pharmacist because I didn't know they got 2-3 hour lunches. That's the problem with these independent pharmacies, the owner is the pharmacist and he can just split on his business and leave his customers hanging while he goes and plays. There are also 6-7 employees in there (more like family members) and they can't sell prescriptions if he is gone ....which looks like that is often. They are there to say sorry and apologize for their boss that isn't interested in his own business. I don't have the time to sit and wait for a guy that "may" be back in 30-60-90-120-180 mins. This just isn't going to work. Do yourself a favor and just Walgreens it where they have longer lines but at least have pharmacists on staff that are there to WORK not play around until they feel like coming to work. Due to the COVID crisis this pharmacy is selling test kits for the amount of fifty dollars for two in box.. So I asked Other pharmacy's in the immediate area and this what they quoted me on the test kit. One test kit in a box is $9.99, and if you purchase two in a box it's 19.99..Now this came from the pharmacist telling me the amount.. Now you talk about price gouging here it is at the Express Pharmacy.. When this world is in a need of support and care from there doctors and pharmacy..But this Pharmacist that controls this pharmacy is only looking out for his financial gain.. Never again.. read more

I filled my prescription at Express Pharmacy today for the first time. I was really impressed with the hello I received as soon as I walked in the door. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Francisco was the gentleman that helped me today and he was great! My prescription was literally filled in just a few moments. Horrible. It is 8:17am, Tuesday. I was excited to learn a pharmacy was open at 8 in town and drove here to find the doors are still locked and no one is there. No stars, unreliable business, horrible customer service. I only added one star because it was required to post this review. I tried calling in case they did not know it was locked and there was no answer. Thanks for making my medical issue experience worse. Definitely not recommended. Stick to retailers who offer pharmacy services. read more

This is the best pharmacy ever! I am always greeted with friendly faces that are willing to help me contact my dr if a prescription isn't refillable yet. Even if the pharmacist is on lunch I still get my pre approved medications. I've rarely waited longer than 10- min for a prescription to be filled. They always greet me by name when I come in and wish me well by name as I leave. They know me and are willing to help and the wait is never long! I have never had such great service anywhere else especially at the larger pharmacies. Shop local and shop here!! read more

Worst customer service I have dealt with at a pharmacy yet! I was placed on hold on the phone for almost 20 minutes!! Just to try to get a price quote on a medication. After being on hold the girl rudely tells me I have to have the prescription for them to give me a price in which I did have the prescription in hand and told her so. She then says "Hold on let me get the pharmacist", puts me on hold for another 10 minutes. The pharmacist never answered the phone so I guess he was to busy to help one of his customers on the phone. Another thing to note is that their prices are higher than any other pharmacy in town. I would not recommend this place to anyone ! read more

Pharmacist Remy and his staff are the best. They are quick, responsive and approachable. I appreciate their professionalism and the information they've given me since I started shifting my prescriptions there. I've had nightmare experiences with big chain pharmacies.
