I must restate - stay far away! After transferring from this pharmacy a few months ago, prescriptions were unexpectedly delivered. I refused one and visited to store to make sure it would not happen again. Last week, I arrived home to find a delivery from Express at my door. I physically took the prescription to them, asked again to be removed from their system once more (that would be 3 requests), and was then called by my current pharmacy today because they were unable to fill a prescription because Express had not reversed and cleared the delivery. Everything! Some ppl there are nasty and don't know how to talk to you as a person . They lie about having your medicines ready when they aren't and when you get there you still have to wait ! And now that I switched my pharmacy all of a sudden all my medicines didn't get transferred over and the ones that did the refills somehow Expired ! Don't go here. I moved all my prescriptions over because rite aid is closing. They sent me a text I had prescriptions ready. When I came in, they didn't have the correct last name (I told them several times on the phone), they didn't have my insurance information and never bothered to call me, and told me that my controlled substances had to be sent by the doctor. Never told me this when I called a week ago. Now I'm scrambling to get medications. Don't waste your time. read more

I would give Zero stars for the unethical behavior of this pharmacy. I had a regular RX I needed filled and was denied because the pharmacy was losing money to fill it. Denied my health care for my schedule dose hours before closing when I had never been informed of the issue months of regular filling of my RX until the day was scheduled to pick up I was denied. read more

So far they are the best pharmacy I've dealt with in recent years. They have no problem getting me a specific manufacturer for any brand of medicine/medication I'm taking. Prices have been good and I haven't had any issues or complaints to date. I've had to call and ask if my prescription was ready but it's a smaller pharmacy so that's to be expected so besides all the tech of larger pharmacy's have they seems to care and take care of their customers needs. I've been getting the run around by the pharmacy and the drs office. I received a call from the pharmacy that the driver who delivers was waiting outside the gate where I live, unable to get in. I told her to tell the driver I was on my way to let him in. I am disabled so it took me a minute to get there. When I got there the driver was nowhere to be found. He just left. So here I am day 2, waiting. I decide to call the pharmacy, they tell me they need a prior authorization for my insurance. Nobody called to tell me, they just left me hanging. Well the driver is already out doing deliveries so that means another day, day 3 , that I am sitting here waiting for my meds. Do I have a choice? No I don't. I am disabled and unable to drive right now. Long wait times on the phone when you call and sometimes you just get disconnected. They need to communicate with their customers..... I may have to find another pharmacy that delivers. I may not have much of a life but sitting here waiting for my meds is no life at all. read more

We saw that Express Pharmacy was giving covid shots so we called and the employee said try around 3pm. We saw that the line wrapped around the block but my husband wanted to try to get the shot so we stayed. It took two hours in line but we left having had our first covid shot. We have to go back in three weeks to get the second shot. Now for the employees. They are all friendly and polite which was amazing trying to wait on that many people. They didn't seem stressed out and kept a smile on their faces. Whoever did the hiring is to be congratulated. They are the best employees. I will definitely go here for my pharmacy needs. read more

Penni S. I ordered a much needed medication (30 day supply) a month ago. They gave me 3 of the 30. It usually costs less than $40. They gave me 3 pills and charged $18.00 I've really been struggling and we've been going in circles for a month. I need a new prescription. Now they want $115 for the rest of them. This is so wrong. They originally quoted me $40.41. They told me many times they had my prescription ready, but when we got there they said they were out. This happened 3 times. This pharmacy is located in the Riverwalk Professional complex at the corner of Callaway and Meacham. There is a nice little beverage station along with comfortable seating and a nice size television just in case you have to wait a bit. The staff is so accommodating. I've only been here a couple of times and they recognize me and call me by name. The pharmacy technician John is like a breath of fresh air. He offered delivery service and bubble wrap for people who take a daily regimen of medication. He went above and beyond to get all of my brothers medication on track and bubbled to make things easy for us. This is the service that is hard to find. I look forward to picking up the medications as I am greeted with a smile and wonderful service. If you live in the area and in need of a pharmacy that treats you eith courtesy you should definitely come here. Remember they have free delivery. read more

I had made a appointment on line for Monday February 15th at 12:15. I kept waiting with people who got their shots way ahead of me. They said they misplaced my paper. This place is a joke, I went on line to make an appointment for my 1st Covid shot, when I get 10 minutes early for my 4:15 appointment there is a line of people, when I get to the front of the line I tell the lady I'm here for my appointment and I asked her if these people who were walk-ups with no appointment would go after me and she said no they been waiting, I told her what's the point of making an appointment if you don't honor it and I have to wait in line? All she said is they been waiting? WTF right? I just left and said I'll reschedule with a real pharmacy that knows how to honor an appointment. Went in for a vaccine shot, and the pharmacist asked me if I want him to wear gloves while administering the shot! That shocked me and made me wonder if he knew standard health care procedures! I do not plan to go back. Also, there was no one there before me, and I waited about 20 minutes to get the shot. Then they didn't even ask me if I wanted the at-home Covid tests that is covered through my insurance and handed it to me after I checked in. It's a shame really. This used to be a great neighborhood pharmacy. Now your prescriptions get phoned in or even emailed for a quick response, but this pharmacy has gotten lazy. Very, very lazy. You have to wait a full 24 hours after your doctor's office has called it in, and even then they still haven't filled it, and you have to stand there and wait another 15 to 20 minutes while they put it together. We have been going here for the last three years. Still extremely happy with this place (see my original review). I even brag to my friends about the customized help we get. For years, I went to Walmart/CVS cause prescription meds are the same, right? Well, we lost insurance when husband lost his job. AJ helped guide us on what medication to ask our doctor for that didn't cost $400 a month. Not going to get that help at the big name pharmacies. Also, this pharmacy has looked up coupons for me before to bring down some costs. Who does that? Most recently, I had Lasik eye surgery done. I told the specialist that I really prefer to use this pharmacy and she looked perplexed on why I would want to go here. This pharmacy is so ridiculous and I definitely feel something fishy going on here like they are making copies and filling my mom's prescription cause there's two guys that always take care of my mom and always look out for her and that's who she always calls to check if they'll be ready and they say always say yes but when they aren't there something happens to them or they just went out for delivery when we never do delivery or they just ran out or something is up with our insurance which I believe is total nonsense and honestly feel they are stalling for time to cover up someone's doing if not their own. This is not how you treat your customers especially with the kind of business this is. This isn't like a Footlocker where if they don't have my size I can just wait a few days or go somewhere else if not just order them! This is a prescription my mother needs every day just to get through her day!! And I feel that there is more that should be done for her and yet there isn't. I am a man of very much patience and it takes a lot for me to get riled up especially to make such accusations but when I know in my heart something is wrong it most certainly always is!! I'm not sure there is any other pharmacy out there where you can walk in 20 minutes after closing and the pharmacist greets you, discusses your specific need/allergy and fills your prescription on the spot. I knew he was closing and said, "I can pick it up tomorrow, can I just drop it off tonight?" He insisted that he filled it right then and said, "You're sick. This is important. We will do this now." It's extremely difficult for me to find medicines due to my allergies but AJ, John and the other staff members always go above and beyond for me. I am 69 years old and I remember the small mom and pop pharmacies that actually knew my name and familiar with my particular needs. Then came big box pharmacies like CVS, Walmart etc where it's always someone different to help you and while treated properly I always feel like a number with a wallet. Express Pharmacy on Calloway goes back to the old fashioned way of treating customers. They know my name, exchange pleasantries and most important show they care about your needs. if you are looking for personal service this is the place to go. The added benefit is their free delivery. I know a lot of people love the drive thru pick up window offered at the big box pharmacies but I prefer the personal involvement and feel better actually knowing my pharmacist by name. read more

I tried to like this pharmacy for several years, but the staff at this place is unprofessional and incompetent. Several times that I have been here the store is not open at or around 8:15. Last time I was filling prescriptions here I had called two days before with simple but detailed directions. Fill two of my meds, and save two more for later. I showed up at 8:11 on what was going to be a very busy day. The door that has the hour on it is locked. The sign says they are open at 8:00. Not knowing if they will be 12 minutes late or an hour late, I left and went on about my day. At lunchtime I came again. It started taking a long time, and my two medications are on the counter. I asked them to get me my meds and left me get out of here. A nice young lady comes over to me with the excuse that she is re-counting my medications. Which medication? my meds are on the counter in front of me. Well in all their ineptness and incompetent unprofessionalism, she is counting the meds not to be filled. Ok so IF she was supposed to fill those two prescriptions- how long does it take to count to thirty? even twice? three times? say four times? A grown person should be able to do it in less than five minutes. I have now been here between 15 and 20 minutes and am pissed now. I raised hell with her and the guy at the counter. Finally I left at about 22 minute into the second trip. Al told I wasted more than 40 minutes and 16 miles of driving to get my medications. I AM DONE!! I called another pharmacy and transferred my meds over. Express will not miss me, I was always outspoken when they were stupid, and that was several times a year. They are nice people who can't even come to work on time, let alone do things right when they eventually drag their asses to work. read more

Three years now I've been going to express pharmacy! At least every single month. They were fantastic when they had to compound my infant son's RX. Over the years I have enjoyed talking with each of the workers and the pharmacist. They know me by name and have everything ready and on time.
