I'd thankfully had the flu vaccine, but still got very sick in the last 24 hours and decided to go to urgent care today. As there's no longer a one in my town, I drive to Berlin. This center opens an hour earlier than the UVM one, which was great because I didn't want to sit around in my car after being up all night waiting to be seen. You fill out the paperwork and scan your IDs via your phone (text message) when you arrive. Then they text you to come in. I was see swiftly by a very friendly patient assistant, who took my vitals and had me take a flu and strep test, based on my symptoms (I'd had a neg Covid at home). Then the doctor came in. He was so nice!! A very sweet gentleman who asked me some questions, checked me out before the results came back as influenza strain B. I'm glad I went. They do have a virtual option, but I was sure I had strep or the flu and wanted to be sure. Will be a long weekend at home, resting. They also do tests for work and school with reasonable fees if you didn't have insurance. My insurance thankfully paid for the visit. Really nice facility. I'd come here again.

Having dislocated my limbs multiple times, I know from experience thats not going to touch the pain. Doctor offered x ray for a tissue injury. X rays do not provide beneficial medical data for tissue injury. Left with out even bothering for the over priced Tylenol. She did manage to needlessly twist and wrench my arm though, so at least im in more pain then I left. The only professional was the desk staff and security. Good on them for being decent humans. The alleged PHDs could use some training and empathy.

This is a review of a single orthopedic professional, representing her orthopedic team , calling…read moremy home to determine whether my son would qualify for an "urgent referral" ( which was already issued by his primary care doctor). This representative dismissed my son's hip replacement urgency status when l told her that he could hardly walk with a walker, took Tramadol and Mexiclam , ( refusing stronger drugs so he would not risk addiction) so he was able to work as a machinist . The retort was, " Well, he is going to work , so that does not count." I also reported to her other symptoms which she wanted to speak to him personally about, which l told her that if she was as brutally rude, and essentially obnoxious he would dismiss this orthopedic team and Berlin Hospital completely. Although it is unfair to give a poor review of an entire team of professionals or a complete hospital in Montpelier, Vermont because of one individual, l will not follow-up the recommendation to take my son there for a hip replacement because their one representative was completely devoid of compassion.

She refused to call me back and explain why she said she would not fix. Also while there she said she would write me a prescription for an inhaler. As I don't use my inhaler often I said no because I had one at home. When I returned home the one I had was expired so I called and asked her to send in the prescription. She refused and refused to call me back and explain her change of mind. I would not advise going to ConvenientMD as this place is a joke. Granddaughter injured her shoulder few months ago and pcp said to go here because it it would be quicker than when they could fit her in. Service was excellent and had X-rays. Then suddenly I'm getting bills from them and when I called they first claimed my granddaughter wasn't covered . I called insurance company and they said she's been consistently covered for over 10 years and they couldn't find ANY claims from Convenient MD at all. Insurance Company said absolutely they would cover it. I call billing back at this location and they changed their excuses a number of times even trying to claim insurance company had granddaughters dob wrong !!! They were adamant they couldn't resubmit the bill even though they NEVER submitted it in the first place ! We went around and around and I firmly stated I wouldn't pay when the insurance company would and would dispute this. They continued sending bills by text and email then claimed they were sending it to a collection agency which I was ok with as I was disputing it strongly. The very NEXT day instead of a collection agency they charged my credit card without my authorization as I consistently denied authorization and they received payment that way !! I had no issues paying the bill IF the insurance company declined payment BUT they never submitted a claim and the insurance company clearly said they would pay . Extremely dishonest and misleading .

I went in to get a strep test because I'd been sick for several days and my roommate had a positive strep test. The first staff member was lovely, but the doctor who came in was extremely condescending. The strep test was negative and he kept repeating (like 4 or 5 times) that because it was negative he didn't see a reason to put me on antibiotics. I was like yeah, no shit, I don't want to be on antibiotics if I don't need them, but he was treating me like I was being drug seeking for antibiotics. I was wearing a mask because it said on the door to put one on if you had respiratory symptoms, so I wonder if he's just one of those doctors that doesn't like people that still wear masks when they're sick after covid (?) The part that actually really bothered me was when he asked me what medications I was taking, and I told him I'm on spironolactone for acne, and he pretty just much looked me up and down and told me well you should go on Accutane. I was trying to be polite, so I said I'd just started spironolactone and wanted to give it a shot. And he was like "Accutane would work wonders." I thought this was really unprofessional. I was there for an illness not cosmetic advice or unsolicited dermatology.
