Our wedding package at Desert Falls Country Club included a cake and I was thrilled when I was told Exquisite Deserts was their vendor. They have a great reputation. The cake tasting went wonderfully and everything tasted amazing. The day of the wedding I was even more excited when I saw how beautiful the cake turned out. They captured exactly what I wanted the cake to look like. However, I took one bite was was met with a dry and flavorless cake. The buttercream icing tasted like straight Crisco. I talked to the owner and she mentioned how our cake was not only baked on the Wednesday before our wedding, but Exquisite deserts DID NOT make the cake. All they did was decorate it!! Sam tried to blame the taste of the cake and frosting on the venue. She said they didn't leave it out long enough before cutting, etc. The cake sat out for 2 hours before we cut it. My husband and I were never told that they do not make the wedding cakes, Sam made it seem like they did everything in house. Cake was left at every table and they day after the wedding I tried the cake again just to see if maybe I was wrong. I ended up throwing the entire cake away. The cakes you get at Whole Foods are 100 times more fresh, moist and flavorful. read more

I used Exquisite Desserts for our Wedding in March 2015. We scheduled a tasting and I was blown away by the taste of all the cake flavors, fillings and frostings Samantha offers! I found a few designs online and on Pinterest that Went with our wedding and she was able to create something beautiful. I really did appreciated that she worked with our budget as well. We ordered extra sheets of cake because of the number of guests we would be having. She delivered on time at our venue and, of course, the flavors were heavenly! The only downside to our experience was that a decoration we asked for and was stated in our contract was forgotten - when I looked at the cake as we were going to cut it for pictures, I noticed it. This Bakery is incredible! I was planning my grandfather's 97th birthday party and completely forgot about the cake until 3 days before. I didn't think there was any way of getting a cake in that short of time, but Exquisite Bakery pulled it off. Not only did they make the best golf themed cake, but the taste was unbelievable. My husband and I eloped last weekend in Palm Springs. We planned a small ceremony with a reception and beautiful cakes. We live out of town, so we had no idea how it would all work out. On the phone Samantha was extremely helpful with selecting the cakes. Yes, two wedding cakes!! We had a small chocolate devils food with chocolate moose filling for the cake we ate, and Samantha allowed us to rent a dummy three tier cake for show. Samantha made our cake for our wedding last weekend and we LOVED it!!! We knew we definitely wanted red velvet but she made it extra special by adding a marscapone cream filling and chocolate chips and it was amazing!! Wow. That's what I have to say about the desserts and cake Samantha prepared for my wedding last weekend. First off, the cake was DELICIOUS. It was the best wedding cake I've ever eaten. My wedding color was pink, and she created for me the most beautiful and tasty pink buttercream chiffon cake with strawberry and chocolate layers. People raved about how beautiful and tasty all the desserts were. I didn't get to eat much of them on the actual night of my wedding, but we took them home with us the next day, invited family and friends over and indulged in these delicious treats. I called her a week before my wedding, told her which desserts I wanted, she helped me figure out what quantities I needed and that was that.
