I had already purchased a vehicle from a private seller in Maryland back in August and spent…read moreseveral days fixing it up so I could drive it back to upstate New York. I was trying to get the car home legally without paying thousands to ship it -- something I've done with other states before. Instead, I spent months getting conflicting and incorrect advice from other tag & title places and the Maryland MVA. I was repeatedly told it was "impossible," or that only the MVA might be able to do it with long waits, appointments, and excessive hassle. Meanwhile, the car sat at a friend's house while I tried to figure out what to do. All I actually needed -- which no one else could clearly explain -- was a 15-day transit tag and the correct paperwork. Maryland Express Tag & Title was the only place that truly understood the process. When I first spoke with Kelsey on the phone, she immediately said yes and clearly explained exactly what paperwork I needed to bring. Given all the bad advice I had received elsewhere, it sounded almost too easy -- so I asked her to please confirm with a manager. She did, called me back, and confirmed again that everything would be fine if I brought the documents she outlined. When I visited the location inside the Bowie Walmart on December 10th, I worked with Michael M. and Leticia T. They reviewed everything right away, reassured me I was good to go, and handled the entire process professionally and efficiently. I was in and out in about 15 minutes, including fixing a couple of sections I had missed on the paperwork. I had set aside an entire day -- and even planned for an overnight stay if needed -- but their efficiency saved me a massive amount of time and stress. My insurance company told me that New York and Maryland are two of the hardest states to deal with, which makes their competence even more impressive. I bought an older, increasingly rare car I wanted when I was a teenager, and thanks to this team, it finally made it home. If I had called this shop first, I likely could have driven it back months earlier. Huge thanks to Kelsey, Michael M., and Leticia T. -- they absolutely deserve the recognition. Do not trust this business; they tried to scam me, and I had to go through UHaul to get my money…read moreback. I went to Tag and Title Boutique to drop off my U-Haul reservation. I left the car clean and thought everything was fine. The next day I was charged an $100 cleaning fee. I called because I thought it was a mistake, but I was told I dumped trash behind the business, and people had seen me and recorded me. That was impossible since I did not dump any trash. My U-Haul was to bring large furniture to my new apartment there were never even any trash bags in the truck. I asked to review the footage and was told it would be sent to me. It's been four days, and I have not received any footage, just photos of trash bags nowhere near where I left my truck. I asked the woman on the phone to review the footage, as I was certain I hadn't dumped any trash, but she refused. I had to go through UHaul to get my money back, and I never received any apology or acknowledgment that I was accused of something I did not do and then charged.
