I was transported to the hospital for evaluation (I am ok) and while I was at the hospital, my Pops had FRANK'S TOWING RECOVERY tow my truck. They stated they'd tow my vehicle to Wyoming St in Detroit and would contact me the following morning, which they did (contact me). I received a call from "Frank Boyd" stating he wanted to verify my number was correct before having his secretary contact me. His secretary contacted me not too long thereafter. The "secretary" by the name of Mario so happened to be the same person who towed my truck. He called and stated he was calling to collect my insurance info and mentioned Franks Towing Recovery having a collision shop. After speaking with him he did not seem legitimate so I told him I would give him a call back. I did not give him any insurance information and I also did not give him the consent to have my vehicle towed to the collision shop. Today we went to the tow yard listed on the business card and it was a vacant business/lot with no cars. We get in touch with Frank, the owner, and he stumbles over words and says he "forgot it was Halloween" and had my truck towed from Wyoming to Grand Sport Motoring & Collision in Southfield "to be safe". When we arrived to get my vehicle, a $3000 bill was presented to us. The owner stated the bill was handed to him by Frank's but also claimed the vehicle was towed to him in the middle of the night. After reading reviews, Frank's Towing Recovery & Grand Sport Motoring and Collision clearly work together to scam people and their insurance companies. I am not in any position to be scammed and I am beyond enraged. The Southfied police came up to Grand Sport Motoring and all in all, the money had to be paid in order for my truck to be retrieved! I wanted to raise awareness to prevent anyone from going through this with these two illegitimate businesses. I will post pictures to support this post. DO NOT ALLOW FRANK'S TOWING RECOVERY TO TOW YOUR VEHICLE!! Do NOT take your vehicle to GRAND SPORT MOTORING AND COLLISION either! They are all SCAMMERS !!!

When I paid and they brought her out she needed a flatbed but they were dragging her causing more damage to the back end. The bumper was still attached but no longer. Carl was the smart guy who did this. When I told him he was scraping the ground he said he wasnt and I asked him how could he not hear the scrapping metal? I could hear it from inside my car. He proceeded to drop the car, call me an idiot, then disappeared. Went to the office to complain and Tiffany made it clear she agreed with him. Amazingly poor service from just dropping 1/2 a grand. Owner came out, blamed it on the original accident and wouldn't do shit or even acknowledge his employees treating a customer and their stuff this way. Avoid at all costs. Their lucrative police contracts mean they get plenty of work and don't care about your stuff at all.

Byers charged us $85 for the hook up (fair in comparison to my knowledge of tow rates) and were told it would be $1 per mile after that. Our receipt reflects $6 mileage charge, 6 miles for a 1/2 of a mile tow?? When we called, the receptionist stated our receipt was incorrect and we were charged for "2 miles" the question remains why we were charged for two miles? The icing on the cake, upon arriving home, the tow driver completely missed our driveway. It is small, I will give him that, but our vehicle was parked halfway between our drive way and our home, we had to actually push the car to our driveway. After which, revealed the damage to our lawn (photos attached). Overall, not a pleasant experience and wouldn't recommend them to service anyone, especially during an already stressful time of a break-down or car accident.
