Recommended by a friend, I had purchased 2 WHITE Club Chairs from an online Estate Sale. Thrilled with my item until I sat in my new Kayaks. I assumed I needed new springs. I gave Mark Lambrecht @Exquisite Upholstery in Reedburg a call & he said to bring them in. He suggested it may only be a matter of retacking the straps, as springs seldom fail. Upon arrival Marks assistant took my chairs carefully from my van for me, and before even examining them Mark covered the first one with a clear plactic chair wrap & had his asst cover the second one. This impressed me. While examining the chairs underneath, Mark could find no failure, I had not brought the cushions as I didn't want my WHITE to get dirty. I returned the next day, and just like Mark said, the foam in the cushions had crushed. Mark ordered 5in. foam and had it completed in 5days. He also reinstalled a Maple Slat for me & replaced some tacky straps on those chairs from a poor upholstery job prior. Mark did a beautiful job on my furniture with a great eye for detail & Reasonable prices. The other peices I saw in various stages of completion ( Eastlake LoveSeat & MCM Arm Chairs) were lovely. Don't take anything to this loser did a set of Chevelle seats for me the back cover was put on upside down offered me a refund but never seen it would always give me some excuse why he could not refund me. front bucket seats were screwed up also STAY AWAY! read more

I learned about this place as a recommendation from a friend of my aunt's, but after reading the one and only 1 star review here on yelp, I almost didn't give him a chance. I arrived to the shop and they were closed with a sign in the door "went to bank". I waited, and when the shop owner arrived he got out of his van, smoking, and I almost left. I do not smoke, and I did not want my newly upholstered seats to smell like smoke either. But he remained outside, so still I waited. And I'm so glad I did, despite my first impression. I had 5 bench seats for window seating I wanted redone, with fabric I provided. He gave me a quote that I thought sounded very reasonable. He called me frequently to let me know how he was progressing, and the entire project was completed in less than half the time I had expected it to take. When it came time to pick up my cushions, he made himself available at my convenience. My husband picked them up and was very impressed with the guy's work, which is saying a lot. And unlike the other reviewer, the pattern (which is a barely visible chevron) on all 5 cushions (each between 3-5 ft long) was perfectly straight, no crooked cutting. Stay away! He reupholstered a chair of mine with printed fabric, all crooked. The existing seat cushion had perfect internal springs, he threw that out and replaced it with thick foam that didn't fit the seat properly. crooked cutting of the fabric oh I could go on and on. When I complained he promised me a refund that he never paid. If I could give - stars there would be -5 of them. Ugh read more
