I have written reviews for *other* Hyatt Place's, but after staying at the Hyatt Place in Meridian,…read morethere is proof positive that not all Hyatt Place's are created equal. Most Hyatt Place properties have basically the same layout which I love. Unlike other properties of this caliber, the rooms were equipped with actual glass cups, heavy quality glass cups that were really appreciated. It's upsetting to pay a premium for a room and have to put up with paper or plastic cups, which cheapens the whole experience! The rooms are very spacious, modern, comfortable (from the beds to the chairs and couches) and depending on where you stay, are kept relatively clean and looking nice. Coming in on a Friday night, with our room facing the parking lot, there was some Friday night motorcycle noise, but not so much that sleep was interrupted. The Hyatt Place in Meridian is in a great location, central to Boise, Meridian (read great upscale shopping center), and everything being relatively close to the property (please understand, almost anywhere you go in Idaho, you need a car). The standouts at this property were the *free* breakfast and the staff! The staff was as nice and accomodating as they come! There was one little mistake where we asked for maid service and they heard *no* maid service (not a big deal, we were able to get towels and soaps and etc until they were coming out of our ears, and of course, everyone can make a bed (even tho I was on vacation, but one time isn't a deal killer)). This property has the best yogurt (yes, yogurt)! I have no idea what they put in it, but it tasted great! It was a highlight each and every day of our stay! And "Renatta", (I hope I'm not butchering her name, here), one of the breakfast servers, was the best! Drink too much the night before? Get a hug from Renatta! Had a great night? Celebrate with a hug from Renatta! Heck, just get a big hug from Renatta! She was a bright addition to the staff and personally, she should get a raise and a medal pinned on her chest! It takes a great effort to be that happy in the morning (a non-morning person would know) and she should be rewarded for it! This will be a regular stop on future trips to Boise. Stand out staff, great location and spacious, comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfasts are the reasons to stay!

In the rather large parking lot, people were out street racing and yelling, throwing traffic cones and making a lot of unwanted noise when all we wanted to do was sleep after a long day on the road. The king suite was spacious with new furniture. There was a micro refrigerator ironing board, iron, hair dryer, a new roll of Charmin professional toilet paper and Kleenex brand tissue. There wasn't a microwave in the room but one was in the dining room area on the first floor. There was a small single serve coffee maker in room with a real coffee cup and two small drinking glasses. There was a bar area on the first floor that also offered bar food. We brought a Costco pepperoni pizza which was about 10 minutes away, so I can't comment on the food or bar service. The breakfast buffet was one of best hotel buffets that we've experienced in a super long time. The breakfast staff were on their A game keeping the area clean and restocked. The outside pool and hot tub looked so inviting! Several families were enjoying the outdoor facilities Friday night. Near the back entrance and pool area, there was a nice sized small gym to work out in. They needed to restock their sanitizing wipes because it was completely empty. I meant to let the staff know, but got tied up trying to unpack and catch a few winks before hitting the road again. We definitely will stay at this hotel again, but in an even numbered room facing the back of the hotel to hopefully mitigate any street racing and weekend noises.

The coffee tasted really watered down and weak not great if you actually need coffee to wake up in the morning. The biggest issue though was the water. The tap water left this really slippery, almost slimy feeling on your hands and skin that I could never get used to. We stayed there for 3 weeks, so it definitely wasn't a one-time thing. It actually got bad enough that I slipped getting out of the bathtub and hurt my wrist. My wrist was messed up for about 2 weeks afterward. When we mentioned it, they told us they had recently softened the water again, which explained a lot. Another thing people should know: if you prepay and end up needing to leave early, you may not get that prepaid money back. That was frustrating and something I wish we had known upfront. Not the worst place by any means, but definitely had some drawbacks especially for longer stays.

With this place you get a little more than you pay for compared to costs in other hotels nowadays which is nice. I don't think I'd bring my kids here with me to stay but for just me and my husband, we'd definitely stay for 2/3 nights again for a clean/comfortable hotel room that doesn't brake the bank.

When I entered my room, I felt a puff of hot air. So, I looked at the thermostat and it was 80°F. Then, I noticed that it was set to HEAT. Hmm, housekeeping has lost their marbles in the head or just simply incompetent. In this age of giant layoffs in 2026, someone needs to bee fired. The layout of the building is too weird and complicated. The building has an arch and when you get out of the elevators after a couple of turns, you have no idea what the orientations are towards the parking lot. Anyway, I eventually found it and get to see my car from the windows. EV Charger: none whatsoever. They need to install some. The nearest Tesla supercharger is about 4 miles away. Installing a few Level 2 chargers managed by Tesla would be ideal; or better still, make it free.

From the time we checked in, everyone made us feel welcome. Jamie at the front desk (I think that was his name) was friendly, helpful, and got us checked in quickly. Nancy, the breakfast attendant, was so sweet and friendly. She always had a smile on her face and made us feel right at home. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again the next time we're in town. Highly recommend!

There was one other blonde lady dressed a bit Christmas festive. Perhaps a manager? She was kind in passing and I could tell there was good communication going on with her staff. I've worked at two hotels...both Marriott and Hilton. I notice everything. They always replenished my towels. The only flaw, which was only the first night...the towels were a little stiff. Probably something in the wash or dryer. The news ones were just fine. They even let me use a broom to sweep up the litter. If I didn't already find a place to live, I'd stay again! We stopped at three hotels in Nampa who were all sold out and or only had King beds and there were three of us traveling (my mom, brother and me). So we went further into towards Boise and as we drove I booked via the Bonvoy Marriot app. Because it was 4 am the app booked me for check in at 3 pm (rather than now). Tired and defeated from three sell out hotels, we were greeted by Jason (who I believe was the GM per the sign on the wall). He was so understanding to the app booking not allowing a 4 am check in, he gave us a half day rate to get us checked in for the remainder of the morning and gave us a warm welcome to Idaho. He was so pleasant and kind. Our room was clean, had a fridge and microwave. All amenities were stocked and in place. We had a quick and easy slumber before heading out to Chambridge for the day and attend the memorial service we drove in for. After a long and emotional day, we drove back to the hotel and were greeted by a friendly lady at the desk, and roaming the restaurant/cafe area Jason was there and quickly smiled and waved over to us. It's little kind gestures that make a difference. A friendly wave making us feel remembered and welcomed. Great job Jason!
