I have lived here for 7 1/2+ years. Sometimes it has been good and other times not. I have met some really nice and not-so-nice people while living here. I started out moving here temporarily, but now this is my home. I was injured in an elevator accident in May of 2024 due to their choice of elevator maintenance companies, and things have gone downhill since. I had to have rotator cuff surgery on my left arm, and while I still can't work and could press to have surgery on both hands, I want to settle that claim when my PT is done. It is a serious, long-term recovery injury. But that's just background for my current review. I was again injured on Thanksgiving night, 11/27/25, and they won't file an injury claim with their insurance company. That's all they need to do. It is very simple IF they are in compliance with LI, their insurance company, and other regulations. It has been more than 60 days and they refuse to act. I have to have the same surgery on my right shoulder now. Their elevators are dangerous; they pulled off their L&I certificate the day after I reported the second injury and won't tell me who now maintains their elevators. I have been calling L&I, and they may not even have a valid license for these elevators. Oh, they have 2, but one never worked, and the other one keeps going out. In my opinion (and physical evidence) this hotel is becoming more dangerous. I am trying to get out, but can't afford it as I am paying all my medical expenses out of pocket before I can settle with the first claim. I would avoid booking a room here until their elevator situation is fully corrected. They spent a lot of money (lipstick on a pig) repainting this hotel and doing other repairs to make it look good for the Summer soccer games in 2026. But they are not replacing the nonfunctioning elevator or getting the one that keeps causing problems fixed in time to prevent further endangering my health and safety during the upcoming games or in the meantime. They laid new white floors but wouldn't force the contractors to remove the stains from them. So it looks like shit stains on the floors. Then, when I said something, they blamed it on the guests not walking on paper, even though they never supplied paper for guests to walk on and had the floors open so we could access the trash rooms while the renovations were going on. When the renovations were done, I got info from the contractor on the products used to remove them from my room and sent an email about it all the way up to the general manager with photos, but the stains are on every floor, and even in the front lobby. Nothing. I have supplied them with photos and included them in this review. I think that speaks to their focus on booking fees and not guest safety. I would especially warn those of you who are elderly, have back or hip injuries, or other frailties to book elsewhere. I came in with a minor back injury, and after 7 1/2 years, I can't work for the last two years, I walk with a cane, plus have had multiple steroid injections to keep from major pain, plus now the elevator injuries. I hope I make it out alive. I am stuck and on SS until they settle my first claim or I'd be gone already. Stay away. read more

I came here just over a year ago, and I appreciate being able to stay here :-) The hotel is comfortable, and my room is pleasant. The folks who work here are wonderful - Benji is so very helpful and welcoming, Brooke is warm and friendly, and Katie is also kind and helpful! (The other folks I have met are pleasant, also!) I wish i could have taken pictures but the smell in that room was horrid. After a long day of travel we opened the door to what seemed a boys middle school locker room . The room smelled of armpit and sweat. We opened a window in hopes of the smell going away but no luck. We checked out less than hour from when we checked in. I don't know where the smell came from or what the smell was but i hope they fix it. Also, for those interested in the " included breakfast" we were told from an employee that it is a " simple" choice of coffee and muffins. read more

We ended our anticipated stay just after 3 days due to some challenges we had with this place: Earlier in the week as we returned picking up kids from school it turned out that the bushes in front of the hotel caught fire and entirely burned down in front someone's room. Given the fact that guests don't take the no smoking within 25 feet serious, it doesn't surprise me. 2 days ago, someone stole the hitch pin of the hitch to my car leaving hitch loose and at risk of losing the hitch and hitch ball on the freeway. The odor in the hotel is unbearable, first night the hallway stunk like dead fish, today like mashed potatoes. The hotel had a trash room on the first floor where people take their trash to, often only after it started stinking up their room. When this room is filled and smelly, one of the employees takes a bit cart with all the trash to dump it in a dumpster behind the building. That dumpster is overloaded with loose trash and it you wait 5 minutes you can see the occasional rat looking to feast. I ended up gagging all the way to our room, even the employee taking the trash out couldn't stand how horrible it smelled. The parking lot has some seriously beat down cars in their lot, one we saw was packed entirely with molding food stacked up against the rear window. Breakfast, without sitting area consists of a chewy bar or a wrapped muffin and a cup of coffee. The positive, there is a Starbucks across the street and an amazing breakfast place name me Crystal Creek Cafe within walking distance. Another positive is that we didn't get bug bites in the smelly rooms, and that the staff was friendly. We checked out 5 days early and will be getting refund.. read more

We stayed at Bothell location for two weeks and experienced an incredible service. Wonderful staff was very polite and helpful. The management, particularly Katie and Bre Miley did everything possible to accomodate all our needs, particularly, we had to move from two separate hotel rooms we occupied for a week, to one room. Katie made our moving so easy and convenient by finding room right across the hall from our my first room. Bre was very helpful with providing everything we needed for our extended stay. The cleaning staff was very nice and professional, also very attentive to our needs. Specifically, Michele was giving me an additional blanket at the time I really needed it. Michele and the lady, who worked with her, cleaned rooms very well. THANK YOU FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL SERVICE! read more

when we checked in the front desk was unattended. Had to call 3 times on the house phone before someone answered to come check us in. When we got to the room there was no remote. My wife went back down and the front desk person has to get a remote from another room. Later that night I noticed the smoke detector had tape all around it. We thought maybe someone was using drugs in the room before us. It smelled like chemicals when we walked in. 2 days after we checked out they added a $286 charge to my credit card. The room as well as the hallway smelt like a cat litter box. The staff came and knocked on our door and requested to come inside because they said someone complained of smelling smoke from our floor and that they were knocking and going in all rooms but only came to our room and we don't even smoke. My fiancé and I were in the Seattle area for the George Strait concert on 06/17/2023 and booked a hotel at Extended Stay America. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. We got into town around 2pm and check-in wasn't until 3pm but she was able to let us check in early, which we really appreciated. The room was clean, the shower had good water pressure, the water was nice and hot and we couldn't hear our neighbors. We had no complaints about our stay. When we booked the hotel, the website said breakfast was included but it's actually a grab and go kind of breakfast. There was coffee, oatmeal, muffins and granola bars. For the price, we couldn't complain. It was a nice place to rest for the night. We would definitely stay here again. read more

I stay here because it is close to where I need to be for work and it's less expensive than the fancier hotels. I just need a roof over my head and a place to sleep and this place fits those requirements. I found I needed to stay an extra week and inquired about this on my way out in the morning. The gentleman looked up my reservation and said that it wouldn't be a problem and that it just needed to be modified by a manager because of the pay codes. I came in after work and asked about modifying my reservation. The young girl immediately said no, and that they were full for reservations. She didn't ask what room I was in or when my reservation would end, she just said no. I told her that I'd spoken to someone earlier who said that it wouldn't be a problem, and she went on the defensive. She stated that he shouldn't have told me it wouldn't be a problem. So I told her I would just call the number on the website as I wasn't having any issues making another reservation. She became more defensive and told me that third party sites weren't syncing up and I told her it was the Extended Stay America website. I did call when I got to my room. And there was no issue extending my reservation, although I would need to pay a bit more for the added nights. I stopped short of booking the room though as my work plans changed. I have also booked a 1 bedroom apartment with equal if not better amenities for my next visit. If you see a skinny young girl with a partially shaved head with red bangs, messy curls and acne, don't bother to ask her to do anything more than get your packages. Customer service is. Pros: Cheap and close to my business trip site. Has mini kitchen if needed and fridge. Cons: Needs a overall renovation update. Kitchen is not ready to use. Have to ask for utensils on the front desk. Water run on the shower head is poor. The free shampoo on the toilet is actually empty. I can go on for more but overall experience here is very poor. Housekeeper miss our room to clean or just didn't clean at all? Bed is not tucked in, no fresh towels, trash hasn't got picked up. Double disappointed overall. read more

Stayed here for a couple of nights a week ago and was welcomed with a dirty microwave, hair on the toilet and sink, and two working light bulbs. All I could hear was loud music, loud banging that were NOT the doors and nobody ever in the front desk at night so if u need something might as well sleep in ur car. oh and if ur wheelchair bound, dont even bother the elevator wasnt working and was told it's been down for a long, long time. After sleeping on their most likely unclean bed, I was woken up with loud banging by the girl with brown hair telling me i needed to leave the property or pay an even higher rate even though check out wasnt until 11 am and it was 8:53 am. Decided to leave earlier than check out time because why would I pay for this disrespect. Safe to say I don't wanna extend my stay or come back ever again. read more

I pulled up and there was a shopping cart filled with trash. It was a bit disconcerting. I didn't know there were homeless people in the urban sprawl burbs. The cart was there for at least two days and never moved and is probably still there. The bed was OK. I'm giving it 2 stars because of the location that is walkable to many restaurants. And they actually provided enough towels. The ESA Bellevue did not in another recent trip. The "breakfast" is granola bars, muffins, hot oatmeal packages and coffee. read more

The hotel room isn't stocked at all. You need to request silverware, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans. I only asked for silverware and was given 2 of each type (fork, knife, spoon) because there was 2 of us checking in. was given 2 small packets of dish detergent, but no sponge or way to wash the dishes. Room doesn't have paper towels or kitchen towels. Am I washing and drying dishes with a face cloth? Tiniest bottle of shampoo I have ever seen - I will need at least 3 to wash my hair once. No conditioner. I guess they don't have many women staying here? The paint and repairs to the place are done really poorly. Everything is generally beat up and fixed poorly. read more

My first and last stay at this company's facilities . Frankly, I am too old to stay in an 'upgraded' Hostel. No lobby seating to speak of. No 'public' restroom to use until you check in! (Shout out to the clerk who took pity on me and offered the employee bathroom!) It is more like an efficiency BNB apartment without any TLC touches from an owner... Call me picky... but the primary ceiling light is a florescent light bar w/o a cover... seriously? At least they can hose down the linoleum plank flooring so you know that it's clean ... The staff could be better trained not to be using 4 letter words when speaking to each other... at least within ear shot of customers... Yes, we only booked 2 nights having no intention for an 'extended stay'... the company sits on the bottom bar for the extended stay market. read more

Overnight visit with my daughter who goes to college in the area. Went on Priceline.com to book a room. Got a great deal, but it was scary since you don't know which hotel property you are going to get when you make the bid. The location of this hotel was great - conveniently located right off 405. There are several restaurants and stores in the surrounding area. The property was well maintained and the parking lot was very well lit. Upon check-in, front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We were assigned a first floor non-smoking room. First impressions of the room - it smelled funny. That was first and foremost impression. While we were out for the evening, we stopped and bought air freshener. It was that bad. Not sure what the odor was. My daughter thought smoke, but I'm not sure that was it. The room was a single queen bed. Mattress was firm, but not uncomfortable. Small flat screen tv, recliner, one desk table with chair and a small kitchen table with chair. Closet was open with a curtain. Cheap looking white wire racks, but there was an iron and an ironing board so it all serves its function. The small kitchen was nice and seemed to be pretty well equipped, including microwave, stove top and a full sized refrigerator. For a stay longer than one night, this would be ideal. The bathroom was clean, but lacking in some basic amenities that we have come to expect are included in hotel stays: shampoo, conditioner and a hair dryer. I went and inquired at the desk and was happy to know that they were available there. Shampoo and conditioner may have also been available (I know they had tooth brushes and tooth paste), but I didn't need them so I didn't ask. They offer a "Grab and Go" breakfast. Coffee, hot water, hot cocoa packets, tea packets, instant oatmeal packets, fruit, muffins and granola bars. Very disappointed that I didn't see any orange juice or milk offered. On-site laundry facility is a nice bonus. Credit card required vending machines are also available. Free wi-fi "lite" in your room, you can pay to upgrade to faster wi-fi if needed. Nice enough hotel with very friendly staff. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Just would remember to bring an air freshener from home next time in case the rooms always smell funny. read more

Days of stay: 7/13-7/17/17 My family and I stayed at this property since our daughter had a soccer tournament that ran the entire weekend. The room included a kitchenette which made it convenient to cook breakfast. Continental breakfast is available so it doesn't provide the proteins we're looking for to get us moving in the morning. Room was clean and did not have any strange smells. Beds were comfortable. After our first day, there was a fishy smell coming from the hallway. We ended up purchasing a spray just for the hallway. I guess this is the downside of the rooms having a kitchenette. Hotel was close to the highway and multiple restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. The parking lot could have better lighting at night but definitely provides enough spots to get decent parking. I would return again. read more

This place is a biohazard. DON'T STAY HERE. THE FIRST 3 photos are of blood spatter on the walls and ceiling of the bathroom that were there when we checked in. The next 3 are of the inside and outside of the bathroom door and if they don't find it necessary to wipe those surfaces down, I wouldn't touch the hand rails in the stairwells. The next few photos are of some opaque dried substance on the headboard of the bed. The staff at this property is awful. Especially the self important, condescending, rude, heartless AGM. Take my advice and take your business elsewhere because this place has a different definition of the word "guest". My next move is to call the health department on them. What's worse is I made a complaint to ESA corporate through their website and NEVER got a response. The brand Extended Stay America as a whole is horrible. read more

They advertise everywhere a 10-point cleanliness yet the moment we arrived the toilet was not clean for a while as it had mold along with feces. I made sure to have photos for ESA customer service. Zero assistance from the front desk who should have at least offered to have the room cleaned the next day when maids returned and even spoken with management for follow-up. After two reviews directly with ESA, no one contacted us to date. Complete darkness outside at 5am for an airport trip. This was a move stay because there are few kitchenette hotels available, but their service needs an overhaul. If I could give less than a one to get this place to improve I would or at least save anyone from staying here. read more

Funny how the Yelp star rating says: "Meh. I've experienced better." for the two star option. Yes, I have experienced better. Way better. But hey, it was the cheapest I could find at the last minute. Due to personal stuff, I decided I needed to stay-over somewhere other than my house last night. This was the closest and cheapest I could find. What the heck ever happened to the $39 motel room? Oh, am I still livin' in the 80's? Well apparently, cuz the cheapest room I could find was here for $70 (weekend rate). As another reviewer mentioned, the bed was pretty darn FIRM. But actually didn't cause me any discomfort in my messed up shoulder. I had asked for an extra blanket when I checked in, knowing from previous experience that hotels only clothe the beds in wispy thin materials they jokingly call blankets. The extra blanket was clean, smelled fresh, was blemish free, but was a bit stiff like it had gotten a small hit of starch. Once I wrapped up in it, it softened right up and kept me warm all night. (This was such a spur of the moment thing that I didn't even have any jammies with me). The rest of the room was nice enough though. It had a cute little kitchenette, easy chair, clean bath (no shampoo provided - huh?? $70 bucks!?!?). They even let me stay an hour longer than the usual checkout time of 11am. That was great for me, cuz I am no morning person. And it was doubly good, cuz I didn't really sleep much all night. Another plus - at least in my book - the front doors are locked at 11pm, so only guests with card keys can get in. Ups the saftey factor. Though you could think why there is a need to do that... Anyway I'd rather give it a 3 1/2 stars cuz it'a decent enough place with nice enough staff but the "Meh. I've experienced better" pretty much sums it up. read more

Sort of terrible. It was quite a bit more than the similar hotels nearby, and the pet fee was double anything I had seen to date. The room was clean but in poor shape. Toilet was shattered on top but usable. Bathroom sink was also falling apart. At least I got to keep an eye on my truck while folks stood around back of the hotel all night and ranted on their phones. Only saw 1 drug deal. Nice dark parking lot is good for that sort of thing no doubt. Compared to the Shilo Inn and others I had stayed at this trip it was nothing short of a disaster. read more

I booked 2 rooms for one night in July and when I arrived, they only had one room available. I showed them my email confirmation for the room, but they could not accomodate me. I had to stay at another hotel nearby, and I was told that I would not be charged for the rooms. I was ultimately charged for two separate rooms, and when I called to dispute the charges, I was told that I didn't show up and I was billed for 1 room as a "No Show". I was told that the manager would call me back, which they never did. I called a total of 4 times and my credit card still has not been refunded. The front desk staff did not seem to be interested in helping me solve this problem when I first arrived, and apparently the rest of the staff feels the same way. read more

Drove straight through from Vegas to Bothell and was able to check in early! The hostess was extremely accommodating. Customer service was 5 Stars. I am giving them 3 stars bc the room we got put in was a smoking room. Going on zero hours of sleep and 22.5 hours in the car we didn't mind at the time. The complimentary breakfast is lame. It consists of breakfast granola bars, tiny muffins, and coffee. So a bare minimal complimentary breakfast of u really want to call it that. We checked out right at midnight so Tuesday morning and were not charged for Check out on Tuesday. So booked Friday-Tuesday. Got early checkin 8 am no charge and checked out 12 AM Tuesday and only charged Friday-Monday. Great customer service! 5 stars for them. The stink of the room n the complimentary breakfast was a 1 so they get 3 stars read more

BEDBUGS! I stayed here two nights and I'm covered in 20-30 bites. They left no part of my body unscathed. Room smells of dirty cooking oil and heater smells metallic. Blankets were paper thin in late December. Kitchen amenities had to be delivered to the room in plastic bags, and were still dirty. My boss bought me a 1 night staycation at this hotel for my birthday. A local night away from the kids where I could enjoy some peace and quiet for a full 24 hours! True I probably would have enjoyed this anywhere, but at this particular location, Check-in was quick and painless. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The full kitchen in my room was one of the best I have seen, made me wish I was staying longer. While I remembered to pack myself a bottle of wine, I forgot a cork screw and to top things off my lighter (I had a smoking room) died on me. The front desk provided me free of charge with both a corkscrew AND a lighter. For those of us 5'9 or taller, the bathtub was long enough and deep enough to fully extend and soak comfortably! On top off all that, this location was within walking distance of an Arby's, Outback Steakhouse, Applebees, Wendy's, Jimmy John's will deliver here, and for those of us smokers, two 24 hour gas stations are within walking distance as well. I just might have to turn hiding out from the family here into a regular thing! read more

I made a booking here for the dates June 8-10 and paid for that beforehand. When I called the hotel to confirm the booking, nobody answered me. I called multiple times again and didn't get any response. It was day time, and I was waiting on a line for about half an hour. This seems like a scam. Don't trust to this hotel, don't make a booking here, don't pay them a penny. I even can't get a guarantee for my booking despite that I paid for that. This is the first hotel ever not answering my call. And the price is not cheapest one. Shame. read more

Price was good, around $80. Love these studio rooms with kitchen, roomy, and I actually like the only once a week maid service, because I can get things set up the way I like it, and not have to keep putting things back to the way I like it daily after the maid cleans it. Floors were pretty dirty when I arrived, but the front desk gal came and gave it a mop. Either not mopped or mopped with dirty water? Staff was always able to help me with things I needed. The only problem was my non-smoking room was obviously smoked in extensively before I checked in. The front desk said the previous guest said they had their windows open and smoke wafted in, this is total bullsh*t, someone smoked in that room, and not just a few. I realize a hotel is kind of between a rock and a hard place, because you basically have to call your customer out as a liar, when they give you that kind of story, but it's unfair to the guests after, who have requested a non-smoking room. (of note: the building had some landscaping, and a pathway, before hitting a fence; which was probably 10 feet at most from the window, so no one would have been smoking back there based on the 25 foot rule) 1. Is there a test of some sort that can confirm someone has smoked in a room? 2. Should a guest be held responsible if they leave their window open, and let such a huge amount of smoke come into their room? (the room had air conditioning, so it's not like you don't have a choice) 3. There are professional ways of cleaning a hotel room after it has been smoked in, that are the industry standard. This should be charged to the guest that smoked in the room, and if the hotel is unwilling to pin them down to it, the hotel should pay, it shouldn't just be ignored. A mix of people were staying here, some professional people, tourists, construction workers, but there also were some people that looked low income or homeless, and appeared that they had been there for awhile. They just didn't look like they could afford $70+/day for a room, made me wonder if the government was subsidizing some to stay here in-between housing, it caused no problem for me, it was just something I observed. I felt safe here, my car was safe in the parking lot, I did take all the normal precautions when parking in public ie not leaving things in view in the car, not opening my trunk to expose what I had in it. WiFi worked fine, TV was good, a little limited in channels with this chain, but sufficient. Bottom line, you get what you pay for, and this is a great value for a studio unit, they would have got 4 stars if the room hadn't been smoked in, or something would have been done about it. read more

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW OF THE HOTEL'S AMENITIES/ROOMS On August 29th, 2015 we did NOT stay at the Extended Stay America in Bothell. Backstory: We had been on the road for 10 hours that day, driving a 20' U-Haul truck and towing another car...to our new home in Bothell! Trees down, power lines across the access into our new place plus an annoying chubby rain...the neighborhood is dark and still unfamiliar. We ventured off in search of a place to lay our heads. Nearing midnight, we saw some lights at the end of the darkness...civilization ahead! It was a H****n with their lights on! The CSR at the front desk said the inn was full and when I pressed him on any helpful suggestions for a stranger in a strange land..."None that come to mind..." was his dismissive answer. I suppose it slipped his mind that less than 1/16th of a mile away is the Extended Stay America - Bothell - West. Honestly, if it were dogshit I would have stepped in it...it was that close to the H****n! By this time we're thrashed...must crash soon, at this point the car is looking pretty good for the night. I hit the lobby and meet Gail at the front desk. "All booked up...(sigh), but wait, here's another option up the road...". She gave us easy directions with a warm smile and I offered the best "thank you" I could in that moment. But wait....the property we're going to is back into the dark and powerless neighborhood, we find it, but it is without power...and without a room for us. I took a chance and u-turned us back to the Extended Stay with the hopes that Gail could offer us any hope of finding a bed. Entering the lobby, she looked up, smiled and said she just got off the phone with a friend who works with another competitor, we can get a room there...and we did! THANKS TO GAIL. When I complained about the uncleanliness of the room (see attached pictures of disgusting dirty phone and ironing board cover), the young male desk attendant told me that "if I don't like it I can leave and get my money back". Room not clean at all, layers of dust every where, top of refrigerator very dirty, dried food in microwave, dried pee on the front of the toilet, miscellaneous hair all over the room and bathroom. Large stain that looks like blood on the mattress cover. I asked the front desk to change the mattress cover and was handed a set of sheets. No apology, no effort to make things right. Based upon an 18 month residency are some preliminary conclusions which though based in fact, are of necessity for legal reasons, of my opinion exclusively. Extended Stay America, Inc. and related hotels strives to project a "family" orientated public facade. The hotel staff did a wonderful job of preventing prostitutes and other criminals from renting rooms at the Extended Stay America located in Bothell, WA through their DNR (Do Not Rent) screening process. The multi-volume three ring binders, kept out of sight under the front desk, were evidence of the constant barrage of undesirables drawn by the low rates obtained through Hotwire and related online services Although the staff and service at this location were excellent (by far), newly implemented corporate policies will preclude my ever returning to any Extended Stay Hotels or related operations. The following description, tells the story of the new corporate approach to building guest goodwill and public image: For over ten years, the Extended Stay America family of hotels offered a long term rental rate program to clientele covering a variety of industry sectors. These groups included [a surprisingly large number] of Russian engineers employed by Boeing, FEMA staff, Key Bank service personnel and private individuals. This program for individuals was abruptly discontinued in April 2012 forcing families out. Although the principle of maximization of shareholder wealth is commonly accepted, the practical eviction of many families by an 80% increase (from ~$1,000/mo to ~$1,800/mo) in long term room rates (LTR Program) over a two month period was truly cruel. Many households, who through the LTR Program provided coverage of ESA locations' fixed costs in slack periods, had come to call ESA their home, found themselves after years of residency, having to IMMEDIATELY find new housing in a period of tight rental markets. Having met the newly appointed ESA CEO, Mr. Jim Donald (the ex-CEO of Starbucks), during a filming of ESA training videos here in Bothell, WA, I find it hard to believe that he was aware of the hardship the total elimination of the LTR program by ESA corporate financial management inflicted on those loyal ESA guests. I would expect that the elimination of the Long-Term Rate Program will not marginally increase ESA revenues on an annual basis and in fact, I predict, will decrease revenues due to the practice of giving "distress (less than $30/night)" rental rates through online discount brokers to fill vacancies at the last minute. Finally the tainting of its reputation, by publicizing in the media, the economic eviction of LTR Program guests, though not precisely quantifiable, will over the long run further decrease revenues. Seeing the effects on families being economically evicted by new corporate policies, has been a terrible conclusion to an otherwise excellent experience. DO NOT STAY HERE. Front desk service is horrible. I stayed here for 11 days, when you stay that long, you only get a room cleaning once a week. So when it time to get my cleaning it doesn't happen. I say okay, maybe house keeping was busy, so I wait the next day, and again. Nothing. So I call the front desk, and ask them to clean it tomorrow, and ask to have towels brought to me. Dakota at the desk refuses to bring them, and is extremely rude. When I let him know that I am speaking with a manager, his simple reply is "knock yourself out". I travel every 10 days for work and have stayed in many hotels. I will never stay in this hotel ever again, and I will recommend my company never book through them again either. Well, I'm never ever being a huge fan of the Extended Stay hotel chain since my first experience with one of these many years ago. However, I was basically forced to give it a try due to the convenience of this location in Bothell. BUT...Nothing has changed from my first experience. Let's start with the fact that even when we were in a non-smoking floor, the room smelled awful. They have the policy of cleaning the room every 7 days, which I deem stupid and unhealthy. This place doesn't have a gym, cafeteria, or at least something similar to that. There were a couple of times that they ran out of coffee at night and they seemed not to care to replace it until somebody asked for. Service wise, most of the front desk staff are cordial and polite, not super excited and welcoming when assisting people, but tolerable. However, we asked to checked out at noon rather than 11:00 am, which was approved by the front desk, but at 12:00 pm when we were just getting ready to going down to the front desk, somebody knocked at the door and when my wife opened it she was mean and treated my wife on a very nasty manner, basically threatening us to get out. That was very rude from her and we felt like we were just getting evaded from the premises. And, it was just 12:02 pm!!! What a way to end our first and last stay at this location. On a brighter note, after begging the hotel to clean our room, the housekeeper that did it was very nice and efficient. My wife told me that she made an excellent job cleaning the room and resupplying it. Also, she showed a very polite and professional demeanor which made my wife felt very comfortable with her. Bottomline, unless you have a very strong and special reason to stay on this hotel, please try not to. The fact that this is one of the most affordable hotels in the area doesn't make it an excuse to treat people poorly or offer the condition as they do. I moved from a cheaper chain to here. What a difference! For a couple of dollars a day more you get Clean, quiet, rooms w/a little kitchenette (you can cook for yourself), carpet in room, comfortable bed, walking distance to restaurants and stores. Free Wi-fi. (Note that room does not include cooking utensils and pots/pans. But you can outfit yourself at a nearby Goodwill store for like $15, and then leave it). Only real complaint was that the cops were there 2x to deal with problem tenants and it's still kinda freaky to see assault weapons drawn and ready. Was here a total of 14 days. Great deal on rooms from that other search site. But you have to pay first and then the site like rolls a dice and picks the hotel for you. Still, no real complaints. read more

Not sure why all the bad reviews, this is a basic hotel with basic amenities, not a grand Hilton. Bed was a little firm, which I don't mind. Dakota at desk was ok, should work on people skills a little bit though. The real reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 though is Susan, she is a sweetheart and was extremely accommodating. Staying at Extended Stay was one of the worst hotel stays I have stayed at. When I arrived to my room it reeked, it smelt like someone defecated and continued to smell the two nights I was there. While using the bathroom I found a 9mm BULLET under the sink!! The room was extremely dusty. Not just a couple weeks not dusted but months! It was disgusting. There's hair on the lamp shade. It looked like someone came in and wiped down the counters and made the bed and that is it. The floor had something sticky on it and looked like it hadn't been mopped for a long time. I went down to the front desk and asked for cups and silverware, they told me I had to order it and it wouldn't come until the morning. By then I would be checking out so it was useless. I asked for some disposable cups and the associate came off to me as rude and told me I should have some in my room. After I walked around the corner the associate and another lady started whispering.. I ended up having to go to Arby's and asking for silverware.
