I have been here 3 months now and have learned things that probably go beyond the average stay. For a long term stay, I am grateful for the size and layout of my room. I feel like I have an apartment with a kitchen, not a hotel room. There is a dining area, multiple tvs, and the desk is large enough for me to work. So grateful. I also LOVE the access to the trail system directly from the hotel, this is so lovely! Strong WiFi in buildings 5-7! There is a lot of random weirdness about. There are random floods/leaks outside- there is one parking spot by my building that is always flooded so nobody parks there. There are also just random mud puddles and holes on the grounds, so I definitely wouldn't bring a kid here. The back lot is also kind of a sketchy gathering place- some stolen cars (recently found by police) and tons of cigarette and marijuana garbage all over. The cops have been here several times during my stay to find stolen cars and arrest people for the distribution of some pretty serious drugs. Avoid staying in buildings 8 or 9 and you should be clear of it. This hotel is VERY smoke friendly. To the point where I feel like they encourage it. The grounds usually smell of smoke and there are always smokers about, including some of the employees. They have smoking stations all over and every picnic table has been taken over by smokers. There are also cigarette butts littered all over the place. If I were staying for a week or so, I probably wouldn't have noticed any of this, but it has become part of the lore I have become apart of in my extended time here. read more

This place use to be apartments, and after my friend and I realized that, the layout made sense. If you can't deal with stairs, be sure to ask for a ground floor because each building has stairs. The room had a full kitchen, small living area, bedroom with doors separating it from the kitchen/living and a small bathroom. Sink and mirror are in the bedroom. All of the dishes in the kitchen were still in the dishwasher. After awhile, we found a note that they don't unload the dishes because of covid. Had to take the end table apart in order to use the outlet on the wall in the bedroom because the outlets built into the table lamp didn't work. Tons of dust caked on back there. Bed was comfortable; pillows were flat. The gym was strange. There was a note that appointments were required and only 1 person could use it at a time. It's small and not conducive to being on a schedule. Front desk was friendly for check-in and checkout. The breakfast was odd. We were here one night, and there was barely anything out at 8 am. The one girl we saw working kept saying more food was coming. There was a make your own pancake station, hard boiled eggs, small bagels, cereal, oatmeal and fresh fruit. read more

They treated the flea situation while I was gone and put me in a new room as soon as there was one available! Life happens. This is a bug infested, run down property with a combative, untrained, and conning front office manager in charge. The facility cuts costs through minimal maintenance and room cleaning. Guest rooms carpet, furniture and equipment are worn out, smelly and old. Room cleaning is done only once a week and by "prior reservation only". The parking lot is not maintained regularly and full of potholes, tree leaves and debris. The property accommodates a large number of long term guests with multiple dogs and cats cramped in the little rooms for long days at a time. The pictures attached are from our stay at this facility. On our stays, we suffered significant flea and spider bites resulting in several hundred dollars in medical bills and permanent scars. The hotel management showed little sympathy and denied any responsibility. Multiple complaints and letters to Marriott HQ customer service resulted in no apologies or explanation. All correspondence was simply forwarded to the same angry manager at the hotel site to let her respond to fiery and defensive toned emails. We highly recommend avoiding this facility. This Marriott location is not up to par with a typical large hotel chain quality. read more

We love the location though the customer service is average. This used to be a great place to stay with pets. It was affordable at I believe we paid $60 for the stay. Now it's $100 plus $20 per pet per night with a weight limit of 25 lbs. Also, you have to pay for parking at this location! This room was booked after we had to cancel at our nearby air bnb. The first red flag was when we tried to open the door and almost couldn't without throwing your whole body into it. Next, when we walked in it had an odd smell and you could tell that this room used to be a smoking room which is not appreciated especially when it is a no smoking hotel. Because we needed to use the pullout bed, we had to get sheets for it and the housekeeping lady just walks in without knocking to hand us our sheets, which is so extremely disrespectful. And once we finally got laid down to go to sleep, you could hear not just the muffled steps but also the creaking of the floor while the people above us walked which made it extremely hard to sleep along with hearing the people on the stairs and around us yelling throughout the night. Overall I would not recommend this hotel for neither its service, comfort or amenities like it's subscription based WiFi. read more

Completely dishonorable and deplorable treatment of customers. The hotel canceled my reservation as I was getting on the plane to fly cross country to go to the hotel... I booked the hotel two months in advance as part of the planning for a family vacation to the area. As I am on my way to the airport, I get a message that my reservation had been cancelled... nothing else, just cancelled... no attempt to reach out to me, no attempt to resolve the issue, nothing... not even an apology for the inconvenience... While unsuccessfully scrambling to find other accommodations for me and my family, I was told that for very busy weekends (when demand is high) hotels often cancel reservations that were booked at a lower price so that the room can be resold at a higher price. This is especially true for those booked via 3rd party reservation sites. I don't know if that is what happened in this case but with Taylor Swift in town it makes me suspicious. Anyway, the treatment by this hotel is so terrible that I will never be booking with Marriott again... The only response I did get from the hotel was a call from the manager making sure that I was not showing up to the property. Apparently other people had their reservations canceled in the same way but they found out about it in the lobby of the hotel. This caused quite a scene, something the manager did not want to repeat with me. Was able to find a hotel on Whidbey island (about 40 miles and a ferry ride away)... thanks Marriott... read more

While the outside of this Residence Inn looks dated, the rooms are surprisingly modern. As you enter to check in at the Gatehouse, you are greeted with a fireplace in a well-lit lobby. Like most Residence Inn, there is a small market place right next to the reception desk where you can pick up snacks or items you may have forgotten. The rooms are clean and well furnished with utensils, dishwasher, microwave, stove and even an oven. Internet was included with my stay but would slow down as more users jump on. Breakfast was great, with three types of eggs (scramble, egg whites only, or hard boiled), two types of breakfast meats, various cereal, pastries, juice, and a waffle bar. The staff was extremely friendly and always ready to answer questions or provide recommendation on where to find restaurants or stores in the surrounding area. There were a few slight disappointments, but nothing that will prevent me from coming back. The first is the size of the gym, which was fairly small. It included one treadmill, one elliptical and a set of free weights going up to 50 lbs. There is a YMCA across the street and the hotel recommended that if more options are needed they can inquire about a day pass, so there is another option. The second is that most of the rooms are detached from the building where reception is located. While not an issue during the summer months, be prepared to walk out into the cold anytime you want to hit the gym, grab breakfast in the morning, or get something from the market. The third thing is through no fault of the hotel, but the hotel is fairly far from nearby restaurants, stores and malls. This would not be an issue if you have a car, but for someone who doesn't, be prepared to call a Uber or Lyft. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this Residence Inn. The rooms are clean, the area is quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Since I was here to explore the city, I didn't spend much time at the hotel, but it is a great place to recharge and tackle the next day. read more

The rooms are decent but the foundation of each building is literally falling apart. there are HUGE holes in some of the main areas, as well as there are rat traps in all walk ways. The "breakfast" is decent. None of the cleaning staff speak English, the front staff aren't very knowledgeable they are nice however. We had an emergency at our home and needed a place a place to sleep that was in decent driving distance of our children's schools and some space for us as we are a family of 4. We LOVED the layout of our 2 bedroom suite. Truly it felt like an apartment! We appreciated the full size fridge for beverages and lunches for school. While we didn't use the full-size oven we were glad to have that available. The dishwasher was a nice amenity and we appreciated having place settings for 4. I keep calling this a kitchenette, but it really is a full kitchen (but small of course). The common area separated the two bedrooms which was nice for our kids especially so they could have their own spaces during waking hours to decompress. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom which was also much appreciated! Breakfast was included and they had a really great selection! It definitely made my mornings easier getting the kids out to school. They even had a waffle station! Parking was easy, but it made me laugh that breakfast was included but parking was $12 a day....in essentially the middle of a suburban business park! Ridiculous! We were in building 6 and there was significant flooding at least a few times in one section of that parking lot. I wrecked a pair of Birkenstocks at midnight one night checking to see that my vehicle was locked. I thought i was jumping OVER the puddle/avoiding it and ended up in the deepest spot. OOPS! Given what we were dealing with at home, all I could do is laugh quietly and get back to my unit to get dry clothing. A couple days later when it had dried up, I noticed a drain right at the site of the flooding so I suspect there's a larger issue that needs to be investigated. While I can say with certainty our unit was clean (kitchen, beds, bathrooms, floor) our unit could have used a deeper clean in some areas. A part of the fridge we hadn't used definitely hadn't been wiped out. It wasn't a big deal but this was one of a few detail issues that was missed. The unit also was in disrepair. One of the outlets in the kitchen had something blue/green that had been shoved in? I'm not really sure but the entire outlet was unusual. Everything we had with standard plugs did not fit, but rather fell out! Bizarre and truly an inexpensive fix. The bedroom with double doors had very loose hardware, also a simple fix but clearly nobody had bothered to do it. I plugged my phone into the bedside lamp in both rooms and it would charge, but ONLY if the light was on. Once that switch was off to sleep, no more charging. Definitely missed the mark as it seemed like a convenient way to charge a phone. We were staying here because of a fire at our home. I mentioned this to the person that initially checked me in as I was curious if we could extend our stay if needed. Oddly enough we were put in a room right by a smoking section. I'm not a fan of cigarette smoke etc in general so that would have been a minor annoyance but in this case our family is literally triggered and super-sensitive to any kind of smoke smell currently so that was a detraction. No, we did not ask to be moved as there was no guarantee we'd end up in a better location so we were just thankful for the times that area was vacant. Fortunately no odors entered our unit and we are thankful :) We had some billing issues as well. I made the initial reservation and then our insurance company took over the billing and extension of our stay. I still ended up with pending charges on our card. I called the front desk mid-stay about this (from my cell phone as no phones in the room). The charges did drop off the day before we checked out...only to get our folio after checkout showing we'd been billed for the second half of our stay. This was resolved, but I know from hearing breakfast room chatter that we were not the only ones at this property because of an insurance claim. Also, I had to check-in for the extension of our stay and needed to pick a day on the spot to have housekeeping come. Here, you have to request housekeeping. Since I had asked for fresh towels the day prior I declined the housekeeping. I was told we needed to have it so I picked a random day and we were added to the schedule. Well, the day came and I made sure our clothing was in our suitcases and personal effects tidy before we left for school. Came back for bed that night and the unit hadn't been cleaned. It wasn't a big deal, just odd given I had tried to decline the service in the first place :) Had we been here for vacation, I'd probably rate this as a 3 star. Given our circumstances and our gratitude that it was available, convenient and accommodating I think my rating of 4 is definitely warranted. read more

My favorite place to stay in the area, which was reaffirmed by my recent stay at the Country Inn and Suites down the street. I've stayed in three hotels in Bothell and the Residence Inn was by far my favorite for several reasons. Not only are the rooms incredibly spacious, but they have nice kitchenettes and the layout of the property is excellent if you are visiting with a group. There are many buildings with several units on two floors. For the most part, you don't have all the noise of kids/sports teams running up and down your hall or outside your room that happens in a traditional hotel with only one corridor. In between these buildings there are grassy areas, picnic benches, BBQs, a nice outdoor pool and a basketball court. You feel more like you are in a small village then trapped in a hotel. The breakfast was fine and is in a separate building by the registration desk. Not luxurious, but definitely more than adequate when visiting Bothell. read more

I found this to be a very nice, updated space. Unless you are in the main building (AKA the gate house), you will be in a room with external access. I was not able to locate any elevators and did have to drag my bag to the third floor, which wasn't great. Once I was inside, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean, updated room. I was especially happy with the fact that the windows in the rooms can be opened to allow in fresh air. They also have a great vanity mirror that's excellent for getting dressed in the morning. The water pressure is as expected for the West Coast which is very weak. Breakfast is just ok. There are a few basics like muffins and coffee, but if you're looking for a gourmet breakfast this is not the place. What the breakfast lacks the week night happy hour more than makes up for! There's usually a small plate combined with some type of complimentary wine. The staff was very nice and attentive. If the coffee runs out, there's likely a fresh pot already brewed- just ask! Finally, there's a nice walking path around the premises if you need to decompress after your business meeting. I'm sure I'll stay here again on my next business trip to Bothell. read more

A little long in the tooth but clean and reliable and close by a lot of business parks. Have no real complaints after staying there for 4 nights. What could be improved? -For such a sprawling property the gym is ridiculously small. -Breakfast is hit and miss. While it's AWESOME they actually include proteins like eggs and sausage instead of just breads and fruit ('continental breakfast') the sausages were dried out and inedible one morning. -The evening happy hour/reception food is pretty terrible. But room was clean, breakfast was a bonus, and the staff were all really friendly and efficient. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights...mostly used for shower, TV/free WiFi and sleep. I'm from California and I'm impressed with the cleanliness and size of the room! I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with a queen-sized bed. There's also a small kitchen equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, sink and dishwasher! When speaking to the front desk (who are very nice, helpful and informative), they said all their rooms are like suites. Awesome. Everyday they serve a buffett breakfast and it wasn't bad! Eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, cereals, bagels, toast and others. Overall I'm very satisfied with my stay, would come back again and highly recommended. read more

Spent a night here for a little stay-cation. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Lots of lovely little outdoor seating areas (it was raining so we didn't fully experience these) and access to North creek trails. It was, however, incredibly loud. We were offered a room on the second floor which was supposedly quieter.... But we were still woken up by people coming up the stairs at all hours of the night. read more

It was nice to have a refuge when my kitchen at home flooded and insurance said they'd pay for a hotel stay at an extended stay type place. This one is very close to my house which I loved. I could work days at home then drive to the Marriott only 2 mins from my house and use the Marriott room kitchen to cook meals. I would be kind of tired and although I didn't need to sleep there, I chose to because I could benefit from the free breakfast the next morning as well. However, the parking lot is so poorly lit that you can barely see (near the entrance of bldg 3 that is further from the gate house). So that felt scary. There were signs saying "we are not responsible for your belongings in your car" which makes sense since they won't pay for any significant lot-lighting. I was shocked that they charged money to park there. I've never been charged money to park at a hotel. It was bizarre. Next, we checked in on night 1, early evening, and never opened curtain that day. Next morning, we opened the curtain and noticed a big crack in the window. We immediately called the front desk not wanting to be blamed for that since it was already there. They sent a guy over to look at it, this was on Saturday a.m. He said "next week okay?" and I said "sure". He NEVER came back all week. We were there for a whole week... Next issue- my partner and I cannot sleep in the same bed (move around too much) and so we utilized the hide-a-bed couch. It was sooo thin and I could feel the springs and divets. It was pretty awful. Partner said it smelled like smoke (the fabric of the couch). Next issue- some insanely noisy people moved in upstairs a few days after we arrived. They would get up at 5:30 in the morning and start doing workout videos or something and opening and closing cupboards and drawers really loudly. They literally sounded like they were on a pogo stick up there. So morning sleep would be ruined. I wear ear plugs and it was still that loud to wake me up out of a dead sleep EVERY time. I thought someone was pounding on the door so I jumped up in the dark and stubbed/bruised my toe on furniture and it literally turned purple. It was those jerks upstairs making noise up there. No one was at the door like I thought. I stubbed my toe for nothing. We called the front desk and the guy said "oh, you want me to leave a note for the mgr."? He wasn't even going to call the room or anything to have them stop. Total scaredy cat. So that was really disappointing. We were almost going to stay one more night because I had enough in my insurance allotment to stay one more night. I changed my mind though once I really thought about what all we had been through. Another thing - my partner wanted to use a certain lamp in the room to read by, and they wouldn't give him a light bulb to replace their burned out one. They said they would send someone over. This hotel is clean does not feel like a hotel. It feels like you are in your own apartment. It gives you privacy to walk in and out since the room are not connected to lobby. The room comes with your own personal kitchen, clean and remodeled. I was here in Bothell for one week. I would gladly stay here if I ever come back. Also they offer free breakfast and the best of all in the evenings they have free beer and wine. Good service. Happy customer. read more

I love this hotel~ The rooms here are amazing! It leaves the normal hotel feel, and greets you with more of a homey feel. The rooms are pretty big and they have a couch, a HUGE tv, and a very very nice kitchen. Everything is modern! The bathroom is big and definitely equipped with all the essentials. The place also has tons of facilities. A gym, tennis courts, pool, and a jacuzzi! Also, they offer breakfast and dinner on certain days, with complimentary drinks, BEER even. Also, if you like working out there is a mini gym and a few trails you can go burn your calories on. The workers here are always friendly and willing to help you. My only qualm is that often times the walk is very far from the lobby to your room, but that is okay. Recommend this place constantly. read more

My separate living/kitchen area is a full kitchen with oven. They should have invested in some flat screens as well and most other Residence Inns' have a TV in both the living and bedroom area whereas this one did not. Pleasantly surprised with how happy we were with our stay! Knowing that this wasn't a 5-star resort, my expectations were very low for what sort of rooms and service we would receive but boy was I wrong. We booked a suite (sleeps 6) to accommodate a girls weekend of hitting up the wineries. The concierge chilled our wine and champagne for us, and once we had returned to our suite they delivered it to our room promptly! The rooms are super spacious and clean - Loved the full size kitchen. Location isn't bad, about a 10 minute uber to the wineries. Great prices and they serve a hot buffet breakfast every morning, need I say more? read more

I was pleasantly surprised by our room. It's large with a small but full kitchen. It was a full oven/range, a full size refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. On top of that it includes all the necessary essentials for a long stay; dishes, pots, pans, etc. There is a living room with a TV, small sofa, 2 end tables, coffee table, and a desk. The bed is comfortable enough but small; I'm used to a king bed. LOL We enjoyed complimentary breakfast every morning which was beyond what I expected. The staff is friendly and the hotel is located right on a jogging trail and is walking distance to my place of employment. This hotel is great for corporate use! read more

We chose the Residence Inn based solely on location to where we were hosting an event and were beyond satisfied with the experience! Checkin-in was a quick (appreciated by these weary travelers), pleasant first encounter. The desk clerks were welcoming and engaging. Being offered a bottle of water was a very large "small touch" and much appreciated. The property layout seemed confusing at first glance but it really isnt. Every night of our stay we were able to park right next to our entry and there was always handicap accessible spaces available (immensely appreciated by our mobility impaired guest). Our "room" was more like an apartment, with 2 bedrooms (queen size bed in each), 2 full bathrooms, kitchenette with full size refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher(!!), and stocked with basic supplies. They'll even do your grocery shopping (charged to your account) for a fee, and I could definitely see where that could be handy! There was also a nice sized dining table and 2 chairs. In additional to the typical coffee offerings they also had popcorn (nice late night snack!). The other half of room had a large desk (outlets and modem) and office chair, tv cabinet, large flat screen tv, sofa, chair, coffee table and gas fireplace. Bedrooms are adequate, one had a tv, large closet. My only beef is the lack of accessible electrical outlets near the bed - I had to move the table and do some tricky yoga pose to plug into the outlet. The bed made creaky noises everytime I moved in the night, which didn't make for a very restful night. Breakfast was awesome - loved the options and good food, not just some nuked pretend scrambled eggs! The first review I wrote was longer and more informative. Yelp erased it as I went to sign in to post it. F You Yelp! Over all we were ok with this hotel. I have stayed in better hotels for cheaper but they are in area's that have more competition (Vegas, L.A.) The grounds were nice, the rooms were clean and well stocked. We were glad that we didn't have to leave the grounds to get breakfast but the eggs were obviously reconstituted and the oatmeal was like paste. We ate the eggs, laughed about the oatmeal. Here are my complaints, We got the queen suite because it had more sq. footage than the king and it had a fireplace. The fireplace is for fire logs only. We were hoping for the convenience of gas and ended up not using the fireplace the entire time we were there. They sell the logs at the front desk (a goodly walk from our room of building 8 room 11) but we never got around to asking how much they charge. They sell 6 logs at Fred Meyer for $19 but we weren't going to be there that long. The bed was hard and I don't really believe it was a queen. We sleep on a queen at home and it seems like we have more room there. I can't prove it but it felt like a full. I went so far as to look up dimensions between the two but didn't have a tape measurer. The walls are super thin and sound carries. I heard every step the people above us made and with a sleeping child my nerves were on edge. When they showered it sounded like a waterfall, but not in a pleasant way. I could tell when they went from faucet to spray and this was about 6am. In closing, the staff were great, the grounds nice, the price was acceptable because there wasn't another choice. I would stay there again but only because there isn't a viable option in that price range. The next time I go up to see my family I will take sometime to look for a boutique hotel but I think this place is the best you will get in a small town. We really liked this hotel. It was warm and comfortable. We got a one bedroom with a sofa bed for the 4 of us. The room was modern with a new flat screen TV. It also had an entire kitchen in it, which was a lot bigger than many kitchens I've seen. My mom was able to make fresh chai every morning we were there! And we really enjoyed the complimentary buffet breakfast each morning. As well as the delicious cookies at the front desk upon check in. The hotel staff were friendly and we didn't have any issues with parking 2 cars or anything. All this cost $84 per night plus tax. I look forward to staying here again. read more

I'm sort of mixed on this hotel, so I think a 3-star rating is about perfect. The rooms are big (it's a Residence Inn), and generally higher quality than most establishments that fly that flag. The wifi is relatively fast. The breakfast is again about on par with what you'd get at a Residence Inn. The part that really turned me off was the workout room, in particular the treadmills. The TVs on the treadmills don't work. Admittedly, that's a minor thing for most people, but for those of us looking to get a good run in that's a real challenge. read more

I have currently been staying here for the last nine nights on business and it is a great hotel for what you pay for. The number one thing I can say about this place (and most residence inn's for that matter) is that the service is impeccable and friendly. Whatever you want, they are there to help which is nice. My room was clean without any real problems. Had some issues with the shower not draining right but they fixed it right away. Free HOT FREE!!!! breakfast every day of the week and they have free dinner with beers monday through wednesday. Is the dinner food 5 stars? Of course not, and why should it be? But it is free and they did have a keg of local brew each night. read more

I've had contractors and consultants stay at the Canyon Park Residence Inn before and they always had a favorable report. So when the heat threatened to reach 100 degrees a few weeks back, and I finally relented to find a room w/ A/C, they were tops on my list. Fortunately, they take pets (w/ an additional deposit). We spend a wonderfully cool 3 nights in the clean, quiet rooms. Made dinner in the small kitchenette. The only things I'd wish for is a DVD player so we could watch movies, but we simply huddled around the laptop w/ the largest screen and "roughed it". The location is very convenient to I-405. There is even a small trail system through Canyon Park where we could walk the dog without worrying about automobile traffic. All in all, a wonderful stay. Next time we have visitors in town (or the temps climb to 100+) we will be back. read more

Really enjoyed our stay here. Studio with queen bed and sofa sleeper. Full kitchen. Plenty of room. Front desk folks were outstanding. Really liked the pod-like setup and location. Great restaurants and a pub within 10 minutes. Continental breakfast solid, not outstanding. Fitness room pretty small and limited. Especially appropriate for stays of several days. read more
