4th flea that I found on the bed.
    Helen P.

I decided to give this hotel another chance and I'm definitely glad that I did!!! During my second visit, the manager was extremely personable and reassured me that they have strict policies in place for these types of occurrences. This time around, I stayed for a whole week and did not see a single one. I understand that these things can happen and I'm glad that they were able to handle the situation. Will definitely be coming back!

The General Manager came to the rescue and put me in a different hotel for the night since they were full. They treated the flea situation while I was gone and put me in a new room as soon as there was one available! Life happens. I'm a little bummed that I'm stuck with flea bites that haven't gone away yet, but happy with how she handled the situation

This is a bug infested, run down property with a combative, untrained, and conning front office manager in charge. The facility cuts costs through minimal maintenance and room cleaning. Guest rooms carpet, furniture and equipment are worn out, smelly and old. Room cleaning is done only once a week and by "prior reservation only". The parking lot is not maintained regularly and full of potholes, tree leaves and debris. The property accommodates a large number of long term guests with multiple dogs and cats cramped in the little rooms for long days at a time. The pictures attached are from our stay at this facility. On our stays, we suffered significant flea and spider bites resulting in several hundred dollars in medical bills and permanent scars. The hotel management showed little sympathy and denied any responsibility. Multiple complaints and letters to Marriott HQ customer service resulted in no apologies or explanation. All correspondence was simply forwarded to the same angry manager at the hotel site to let her respond to fiery and defensive toned emails. We highly recommend avoiding this facility. This Marriott location is not up to par with a typical large hotel chain quality.

While the outside of this Residence Inn looks dated, the rooms are surprisingly modern. As you enter to check in at the Gatehouse, you are greeted with a fireplace in a well-lit lobby. Like most Residence Inn, there is a small market place right next to the reception desk where you can pick up snacks or items you may have forgotten. The rooms are clean and well furnished with utensils, dishwasher, microwave, stove and even an oven. Internet was included with my stay but would slow down as more users jump on. Breakfast was great, with three types of eggs (scramble, egg whites only, or hard boiled), two types of breakfast meats, various cereal, pastries, juice, and a waffle bar. The staff was extremely friendly and always ready to answer questions or provide recommendation on where to find restaurants or stores in the surrounding area. There were a few slight disappointments, but nothing that will prevent me from coming back. The first is the size of the gym, which was fairly small. It included one treadmill, one elliptical and a set of free weights going up to 50 lbs. There is a YMCA across the street and the hotel recommended that if more options are needed they can inquire about a day pass, so there is another option. The second is that most of the rooms are detached from the building where reception is located. While not an issue during the summer months, be prepared to walk out into the cold anytime you want to hit the gym, grab breakfast in the morning, or get something from the market. The third thing is through no fault of the hotel, but the hotel is fairly far from nearby restaurants, stores and malls. This would not be an issue if you have a car, but for someone who doesn't, be prepared to call a Uber or Lyft. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this Residence Inn. The rooms are clean, the area is quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Since I was here to explore the city, I didn't spend much time at the hotel, but it is a great place to recharge and tackle the next day.

The rooms are decent but the foundation of each building is literally falling apart. there are HUGE holes in some of the main areas, as well as there are rat traps in all walk ways. The "breakfast" is decent. None of the cleaning staff speak English, the front staff aren't very knowledgeable they are nice however. The do come and bring new towels and make the bed every 2-3 days.

    Dirty floor in room

The staff was nice and friendly which was great! Unfortunately, when we arrived to our room we noticed the floors were not swept as they looked like there were some coffee grounds on the floor. It made me wonder what else was not cleaned in the hotel. Blood stain on the sheets and the sink was leaking. Breakfast was a grab and go breakfast but the options were scarce. For the price, I was disappointed.

    Open windows, fresh air!

I found this to be a very nice, updated space. Unless you are in the main building (AKA the gate house), you will be in a room with external access. I was not able to locate any elevators and did have to drag my bag to the third floor, which wasn't great. Once I was inside, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean, updated room. I was especially happy with the fact that the windows in the rooms can be opened to allow in fresh air. They also have a great vanity mirror that's excellent for getting dressed in the morning. The water pressure is as expected for the West Coast which is very weak. Breakfast is just ok. There are a few basics like muffins and coffee, but if you're looking for a gourmet breakfast this is not the place. What the breakfast lacks the week night happy hour more than makes up for! There's usually a small plate combined with some type of complimentary wine. The staff was very nice and attentive. If the coffee runs out, there's likely a fresh pot already brewed- just ask! Finally, there's a nice walking path around the premises if you need to decompress after your business meeting. I'm sure I'll stay here again on my next business trip to Bothell.

The bed was comfortable, and the room clean. It was a little hard to find the actual hotel even though it is right off the freeway. It's tucked just behind the Outback Steakhouse. There are also conveniently located restaurants nearby. An Outback, Bonefish Grill and a diner are all within walking distance. Now let's talk about that hallway carpet. They must have gotten a deal on it because it was horrific! I still can't decide if it looked like strips of bacon or a stream with gold in it which I should go panning for. Either way I was impressed by the sheer hideousness of it.

I started out moving here temporarily, but now this is my home. I was injured in an elevator accident in May of 2024 due to their choice of elevator maintenance companies, and things have gone downhill since. I had to have rotator cuff surgery on my left arm, and while I still can't work and could press to have surgery on both hands, I want to settle that claim when my PT is done. It is a serious, long-term recovery injury. But that's just background for my current review. I was again injured on Thanksgiving night, 11/27/25, and they won't file an injury claim with their insurance company. That's all they need to do. It is very simple IF they are in compliance with LI, their insurance company, and other regulations. It has been more than 60 days and they refuse to act. I have to have the same surgery on my right shoulder now. Their elevators are dangerous; they pulled off their L&I certificate the day after I reported the second injury and won't tell me who now maintains their elevators. I have been calling L&I, and they may not even have a valid license for these elevators. Oh, they have 2, but one never worked, and the other one keeps going out. In my opinion (and physical evidence) this hotel is becoming more dangerous. I am trying to get out, but can't afford it as I am paying all my medical expenses out of pocket before I can settle with the first claim. I would avoid booking a room here until their elevator situation is fully corrected. They spent a lot of money (lipstick on a pig) repainting this hotel and doing other repairs to make it look good for the Summer soccer games in 2026. But they are not replacing the nonfunctioning elevator or getting the one that keeps causing problems fixed in time to prevent further endangering my health and safety during the upcoming games or in the meantime. They laid new white floors but wouldn't force the contractors to remove the stains from them. So it looks like shit stains on the floors. Then, when I said something, they blamed it on the guests not walking on paper, even though they never supplied paper for guests to walk on and had the floors open so we could access the trash rooms while the renovations were going on. When the renovations were done, I got info from the contractor on the products used to remove them from my room and sent an email about it all the way up to the general manager with photos, but the stains are on every floor, and even in the front lobby. Nothing. I have supplied them with photos and included them in this review. I think that speaks to their focus on booking fees and not guest safety. I would especially warn those of you who are elderly, have back or hip injuries, or other frailties to book elsewhere. I came in with a minor back injury, and after 7 1/2 years, I can't work for the last two years, I walk with a cane, plus have had multiple steroid injections to keep from major pain, plus now the elevator injuries. I hope I make it out alive. I am stuck and on SS until they settle my first claim or I'd be gone already. Stay away.

The staff was always really nice except for one person but I think he may have been disabled so gotta give him a break. Parking fees here are killer. Small laundry room given the size of the hotel, plus there were always machines broken. Big gym with decent equipment. Thin walls, you could hear most of what neighbors were saying but muffled. Being on the top floor at least saved hearing footsteps overhead, but the construction in the building would still rattle the walls. Pet friendly for a fee, they were nice enough to discount some fees after I got wrongly charged twice when switching rooms. The dog poop bags were out for almost a month but eventually got restocked. Hardly any grass around the building but a little bit along the busy street. Close to tons of shops, restaurants, groceries, etc. and the freeways. The breakfast options were nothing special but I've had worse. Housekeeping available every couple days or upon request, but they weren't very good about coming at the requested times. Overall the stay was fine despite the gripes. At least I earned a crap ton of Hilton points. Too bad the renovation set things backwards.
