Yet again, another wonderful example of how down hill customer service has fallen, or rather plummeted should I say. I've been here before over 2 years ago and I don't remember the service being great, but it wasn't so terrible that it made me not want to return again, but after my last visit that is exactly how I feel now. I called on Saturday, November 28th, at 12:42 PM to ask them what time they were closing that day because their website says their Saturday hours are 9:15 - 5:30 which is just odd so I wanted to double check. Sure enough the employee I spoke with told me they close at 5:00 PM, not 5:30. I asked her again to be sure and she confirmed "yes, we close at 5:00 PM." Great! So I get on the horrid 101 and drive the 35 minutes and arrive at 3:07 PM only to find the door locked, lights low and a tiny little sign taped to the door stating "We're closing at 3PM today..." Say WHAT!! Mind you, I can clearly see customers and employees (at least 5 people) inside and they can see me, but the employees pretend I am invisible. Until I start knocking on the door and someone magically sees me standing there. The woman talks to me through the door telling me they are closed. I tell her that I spoke to someone that very day, less than 2 hours ago, and was told you closed at 5 so someone needs to let me in. Another woman comes to the door and actually opens it (GASP) to talk to me and tells me their server is being worked on so she has no computer and there for cannot ring me up. Ummm... so you knew you were closing at 3 today, I ask? She says yes, the repairs were scheduled. Well then why in the hell did one of your employees tell me you closed at 5? All she could tell me was "I'm sorry, I'm not sure why she told you that. She must have just forgot. But like I said, I can't ring you up." Even though I can clearly see a customer being rung up behind her. I mention it and she says "he is our last customer because the server guy has been waiting for 15 minutes already." Ok, and why is that my problem? I just drive for 40 minutes to get to your establishment to give you business and your idiotic employee gave me the wrong information so perhaps, in this case, you should think about making an exception! Does she, of course not. She's more than happy to let $400 bucks and a customer get back in her car pissed off as all hell and drive away never to be seen again. She didn't even try to come up with a solution! How about you let me in, pick out my product, keep it and charge me over the phone on Monday and then ship it to me. Hmm, does that sound like a possible solution you could have maybe thought to offer?!? Terrible, absolutely terrible. Stay far, far away from this place folks. If they can't do something as simple as give a customer correct store hours they truly just don't deserve to be in business any longer. They are certainly not the only suppliers in town, Giovanni & Sons was more than happy to take my business! read more

I'm really happy I didn't let some of the reviews on here deter me from going to Extensions Plus. There's very few complaints about the hair, and that's probably because you can't complain about it, it's quite amazing. But there are mentions about customer service, so I want to share my experience. Last week... Before driving from LA to the valley, I called and asked questions about some of the hair that I saw on their website. I'm not sure who I spoke with, but she was gracious and answered all my questions. That same day I went to the store and Alex assisted me; she was absolutely great. I came into the store thinking I knew the hair I wanted (based on the website), but she was patient and showed me another type of hair based on me mentioning that I needed something a bit more textured. I bought two bundles of the hair she showed me, but... I like to get my Diana Ross on, walk down the street thinking I'm Chaka Khan, channel my inner Beyoncé; so I wasn't sure if two bundles would be enough. I like big hair! So two days later, I made a return visit to buy an additional bundle (I again called before going to make sure they still had the hair). On my return visit Nikki assisted me. And she too was great. She showed me the remaining three bundles of the hair so I could choose the one the pleased me. There were two other young ladies in the shop, and they were each very friendly. I absolutely love the hair, and it may very well be the best hair I've ever had. And the customer service I received was very pleasant and professional. Side note about the hair I bought: I bought the Custom ZZ Curly in natural brown. The two bundles would have been enough (we didn't use all 3). I have a lot of hair installed, and it's very light, which is great because... I'm not tryna break my neck trying to look cute. And it doesn't tangle or shed. Yes yes yes‼! read more

This business has definitely gone down hill and I will NEVER order from them again. Their customer service was always sketchy; but now it's about no customer service and all about taking your money. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. Instead find a VENDOR and cut out the middle man, this is what this business is. An unprofessional, horrid, ridiculous middle man. Customer service?? What customer service? When I do phone orders I always get some ditzy fool who keeps laughing at some joke or TV they have running on in the background. The only time she's level headed and somewhat professional is when she's taking your card number or confirming the jacking of your dollars. She's a big reason I won't deal with them but no the only reason. I've been a customer for 5-6 years and they will never see my or my friends' and families money ever again. They have no concept of fair business practices. Their hair used to be the only thing worth dealing with and after this last batch, there is no reason to keep consorting with this company. The wefts are so messed up that I can see it literally falling apart, and this is what I pay $$$$ for??? The hair has always been on the thin side but always excellent quality. It will last you all year. And you can do anything you want to it. Blowdry, flat-iron, dunk in the ocean, etc. You maintain it with deep conditioner treatments, protein treatments, quality shampoo and conditioner, etc. They thin it out I think so you have to buy more, deceptive practices all around. I always hated the wefts. They are thin, flimsy, absolutely disgusting and the hair ALWAYS fell out if I didn't seal the wefts. For the amount of money you pay, you should have wefts of steel. But now the hair has turned into a piece of $*@@&#. Coupled with their horrendous customer service, they deserve to go bankrupt. Again, FIND A VENDOR. Do your research, find out what questions you should ask your vendor. Like if hair is double drawn, if it's been dipped in any kind of chemical, etc. There are websites out there that deal directly and legitimately with vendors, use paypal. You don't have to put up with EP and their clueless, abhorrent ways. read more

This hairs SHEDS!!!!! I have been using Extensions Plus hair for about 4 years and have never had a problem with shedding until recently. Maybe I got a bad batch? Maybe they got a new supplier? I have no idea what changed, but... THIS HAIR SHEDS LIKE CRAZY! It's a total shame, because the relaxed textured hair matches African American hair perfectly. If the weave is installed correctly, people truly cannot tell that you have one. The hair is really expensive - seriously expensive. Like $120 for a small bundle - and you need like 3 bundles for a full weave. It used to be of such high quality that I forked over the money without complaint. But no more because... THIS HAIR SHEDS ALL OVER THE PLACE! I was losing so much hair that I needed to get a new installation after only about a month. It had simply gotten too thin. I really hope that this was just a fluke and that EP is still the best hair around. I plan to try them once more and will keep you all posted. read more

I first tried zig zag wavy Indian hair from here 10 years ago! I saw it, thought it was pretty, and decided to purchase it. I liked it a lot, however the real test for me came when I went into labor. Twenty five hours (yes, I'm serious) of laying, sweating, rolling with no bonnet or scarf. My weave hair maintained a beautiful luster and minimal tangling. I didn't but hair again from here again until recently because of the cost; but after wasting hundreds of dollars here and there hoping for good hair I gave in and stocked up. All brands are not created equal, but I have had much success with the zigzag line. The quality has changed a bit of the last decade, ( like most items) but I am still happy with my purchase. I recommend purchasing in-store to feel it, put it against your skin, and make sure the ends aren't rugged and shedding. I have experienced very little shedding over a 6 month period. read more

I haven't worn extensions for years, but lately I've been coveting big curly hair. Since my real hair is pretty heat damaged, I can't make it big anymore. =( So I decided to make some clip-ins to add body and height to my head. EP is clean and well-organized. I found the customer service to be impressive. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted so the woman behind the counter was very helpful. She was honest about the pricing and I walked out of there happy. (Note: If you want to clip in, they charge $4 PER CLIP. Do yourself a favor and go buy those wig clips from Sally's. You can sew them in yourself.) I JUST bought this hair yesterday, so I can't speak to the shedding issue in the other reviews. I will keep an eye out for it. Luckily, I only bought one package, since I'm leaving all of my real hair out ... I mean, I don't mind spending money on nice hair because it usually lasts a LONG time. I started going to Extensions Plus when I lived in LA and now go there every time I fly back. I believe a makeup artist recommended them from set. I must tell you, their hair is really good, though it is expensive. I have hair from them I purchased 10 years ago that I still use. I've been to EP on 3 different occasions and each time, I was treated well and the sales people were pleasant and informative. The first time, I went to EP, was just to scout out the hair. The second time which was at least a year later was to purchase. The third time was last week to purchase the same kind of hair but longer. The first batch of hair is still going strong and does not shed often. I am concerned about how they dye the hair. I did a pre wash and conditioning treatment on the second batch of hair. The dye does not hold well. My basin water was brown from the dye when I clarified and again when I shampooed and just a bit when I conditioned. read more

I've been going to EP for years. I love their hair and out of all the brands I've tried, their hair has been the best, most durable, most unique, most realistic hair extensions. They match my hair perfectly. I always use Latrice in the last several years as the first time I ordered 7 years ago, they sent me the wrong color for 2 bundles. I had to fly there and do an exchange to ensure I got the right ones. I vowed to only go in store from that point. Latrice is the best. She knows what I like and gets me what I need. I'm not sure what I would do without her. She definitely goes over and above for her clients. I don't know why anyone would give extensions-plus a bad review!!! I have been using the Coffee Collection for over 2 years. They are so beautiful and soft. The only downside is that they are all pretty curly and I wish they came in straight styles. Just makes for more time to get them dried/flat ironed. I have 2 rows and usually buy 2 of the packs (4oz total). YES they are expensive, but I have only switched them out every 8-ish months, so it is very worth it. I haven't tried other styles, so I can't speak for them, but I think the coffee collection is the way to go regardless of the type of hair you have. They are very helpful and ship fast. Many things go out of stock, but you can always get a hold of them to see when they can get back in stock to prepare. Writing this review makes me want to cry. I haven't really ordered hair from here since high school last year I got some every day Kinky Curly. BEAUTIFUL (it's the light colored hair in the pictures) fast forward to April I buy more the hair I received was cat hair. Seriously it shed like a dog and tangled and crawled up my neck. I knew before I installed it it was a mess and emailed, called, DMd on instagram and twitter no response. So I installed it. I finally got a call back but then had to wait to have it uninstalled so three weeks later the hair is sent back. Hair is received May 8th at front desk on the 20th the rude lady in returns says she didn't get it til the 18th whatever I just want my money back. Then when I just keep calling and they Finally take it back from "the lab" they offer me STORE CREDIT even though it's clearly under weight which I mentioned in my messages and on the phone. So I order more kinky curly. I received some silky mess and at this point I realize I've just wasted $400 and will have to install it. Mind you that picture is all THREE bundles. It looks nothing like my previous order or what's advertised on the site. It's flat and won't blend with my hair. They are handing out free hair but didn't even give me what I paid for I literally cried. I have lots of friends who loved my last hair and it's unfortunate that I'm stuck with this. The store is clean and well organized. Extensions plus has one of the highest grade of hair out there by far. If you have $400 for 6-8oz hair it's worth it. You can check their website for promotions. The hair won't shed and it colors well. Go to Slauson swap meet if you want cheap hair that sheds. I have done both. If you want excellent quality get extensions plus. Be wary of the extensions plus "Everyday brand" it is the more "cost effective brand" but really it just last only for a few months. As a customer who has been using and wearing human hair extensions for over 30 years I feel very qualified to comment on the exceptional quality of hair that I found at Extensions-Plus. Prior to coming to Extensions-Plus I was a faithful client of His & Her's Hair for over 10 years. They provided a good quality product, but doesn't compare to Extensions-Plus. The hair last longer, doesn't tangle and has very little shedding. One of biggest selling points for me was the fact that most of the sales associates also wear the hair, so they are able to provide first hand experience about the different textures, maintenance and wear-ability. I have nothing but good things to say. Kimberly was professional and helpful. I have lost a lot of hair after having my children. It was affecting my self esteem. I was using a synthetic hair piece. It was OK but it was heavy and looked fake. Luckily someone guided me to this place and I am so happy. I ordered a custom hair piece (real human hair). Kimberly made sure to match my hair texture and color. She took time to measure my scalp and made sure the new piece fit me correctly. I was told the hair piece might take 2-3 months to arrive. Luckily mine came in earlier than expected. I was thrilled to have my new piece. I look and feel great. It's also very light weight. So far the quality of the piece is good. I absolutely love the hair this company sells! My recent personal experience: I bought two bundles and closure from Her Imports. When I received my package, I was missing a bundle and by the time I got the second one I was already in NY getting my hair done. When it was time to install the hair, my stylist said that the wefts of Her Imports are too thick and my full head will feel bumpy. She pulled out a 3 oz ( 1 Bundle ) of hair from extension plus and it was much LONGER and THICKER than the crappy bundle from Her Imports. My hair stylist used ONE bundle ( Zig Zag Natural Wavy) 12 -14 in for my full head along with Her Imports closure and my hair is FULL and BEAUTIFUL. I would have given zero starts but that's not possibleOrder hair and they sent the wrong color. Sent it back. Re-Orderd over $700 worth of hair from Extensions Plus. Received it, had it installed (weft), had it cut - now I am over $1,000 into this and three days and a wash later it is a frizzy mess. Called and spoke to Esmerelda on October 10th. She said they don't take it back after it's been cut and to see the disclaimer on my receipt. I tell her I see that but the hair is not wearable. Tell her I have used cheap hair that has held up better than this and essentially, this is not fit to be used for the purpose it was sold for. She argues with me about how I've not cared for it properly. I tell her I have been wearing extensions for a while and know how to care for it, etc. She says she will send me their shampoo and to use it and if I still have a problem, to call back. What am I to do in the meantime? I can only braid this frizzy mess and nothing else? It's October 29th - Haven't received the shampoo. Called yesterday to speak to Esmerelda and was put on hold and she never picked up. So I've had a frizzy mess of hair. I can tell you that this hair is such poor quality - I've never seen anything this bad. I will continue to pursue a resolution. I will file a complaint with the attorney general and consumer protection agency and dispute it on my credit card if I can't get satisfaction. I suggest you stay away from this place. read more

I've ordered 3-4 times with EP. My first order was custom curly. I had no problems with it. Used and abused the hair and it still held up. Ordered it again, a year later, and was highly disappointed. I returned it because it was scrappy looking, the ends were thin and not curly, and it just didn't make me " ooh and ahhh!" like my first custom curly purchase. The widths were also different between the 2 bundles. My relaxed texture, that I ordered, was only used once because it would shed like a cat. So, since I have been burned and do not have money to waist, I'm on to the next one! You guys blew it! Should be more consistent. read more

I was sold hair and told that it was virgin hair, but it wasn't. They weren't willing to budge on the # of days that had past from their refund policy. Bummer, I liked going here, but if I'm told that the hair I am buying is virgin and then I get it to the salon to color and it's not, I expect an exchange! I flew into LA to order my hair based on the recommendation of a stylist that works with celebrities. They have a wonderful selection. I purchased two types of hair, had custom coloring, and I was pleased with my purchase. All told I spent about $1500. I would have been a regular customer. I have spent the better part of a week trying to place a new order over the phone. I only wanted to re-order the same product, but I can't get it done. Three emails, 5 phone calls and still nothing. I have hesitated on writing a review for about a year now. I love Extensions Plus hair-BUT they NEVER have the hair I need in stock. NEVER. I usually wear the relaxed/and or silky relaxed texture in color 3A, as that is the hair that matches my texture and color. However, they have not had that particular hair in stock for going on TWO YEARS. I call at least once a week, and they NEVER HAVE IT IN STOCK. They usually tell me to check back because they should be getting a shipment in a couple of weeks...but they have not had this hair in TWO YEARS. They usually only have the color 1B. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TWICE I've had problems with them. My stylist in the DC area regularly orders from here and spends lots of money ordering hair. Last year they sent a WIG instead of tracks that I ordered; this year the order I paid for somehow has gotten lost and they have not been able to tell my stylist or me where or when it should arrive.
