I needed help with hair and the first lady told me she was working in a wig so she couldn't help me. I waited about ten minutes then went to the front to ask for help. The same girl said she could help me now. They didn't have any of the hair I usually get from the beauty supply stores in LA so I settled. BUYER BEWARE. I have been going to WOW Beauty for several years now and I've noticed recently there are no prices on the items. Please be aware that all items are FINAL. WOW Beauty will only offer it's customers a store credit (for a return) even if you bought something 3 minutes ago in the store the same day. I bought a can of hairspray and it was a well known brand. After I purchased the item, I noticed my final bill. The item was four dollars more than what Target would charge for this same can of hairspray. None of WOW products are marked and their prices are almost doubled the amount of what you could find on Amazon or Target. At this point, I will take my business elsewhere. Not everybody wants a store credit right after they used cash or a debit card for a return. This store's practice of posting a cardboard in writing "All Sales Are Final" behind the register will detour long standing customers. Please save your time and money. This place charges upwards of $100 for wigs that retail for $40 online. They are literally RIPPING OFF their customers and they don't care. One of the girls working in the store even confessed that MULTIPLE people (including celebrities) have complained about the wig pricing here but the owners simply do not care. I normally buy my wigs online but I was in a pinch and so I stopped by an hour before closing and it took almost 15 minutes for an employee to assist me. When someone finally did offer to service me I was being rushed because the store was "closing in 10 minutes". The employees were pressuring me to choose from the already poor selection of wigs that they carry and even said "well we have to close the drawer" mind you, it was maybe 1 minute past closing time and I had already told 2 different employees that I came with all the intention to make a purchase but no one came to help me when I initially entered the store. Please just spend your hard earned money elsewhere. There are so many better hair stores in the valley. Fox Beauty on Glenoaks blvd is great, Superstar Hair and Wigs on Ventura is fabulous AND Black owned. To be frank, If you were thinking about visiting Wow for your hair needs I would rethink that and go somewhere else instead. The people in charge of this establishment do not deserve to be in business ESPECIALLY when they show little to no care for the people that they serve. BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT SHOP HERE. FRAUD BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE AVOID AT ALL COST.  These folks make money off black and brown customers but do not respect us enough to sell us the products they are advertising. I purchased hair that was advertised as virgin remy human hair to last 365 days and barely lasted 10!  It was clearly a synthetic blend as it matted and tangled within a few days of installation. I went into the store with a stylist to ask what could be done (store credit, partial refund, etc). The owner had us wait almost 30 minutes to talk to her, when she finally did she claimed she never had complaints (more likely she denies them) and she doesn't know my lifestyle (insinuating that I am unkept or unruly). I have hair from LUVME which is 2-3 years old that I can still wear.  We aren't talking about me coming in 9months later off of this product, but 10 days! I didn't even get 1 month of usage.  After 10 mins of conversation that went nowhere, she then claimed to call me a thief even though I purchased the product and had a receipt. WTH?! Rude disrespectful and racist behavior.   I went back to my credit card company for the dispute and because they can hide behind an "All Sales Final" policy they can do whatever they want. Each time the dispute went back they were able to hide behind the policy without addressing the fact that the product was falsely advertised and did not last anywhere near the amount of time. BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT SHOP HERE.  Unfortunately, because they are the largest in the area they do receive a lot of traffic, but drive the extra 10mins for another store!  Wow is selling false and misleading advertised products and does not stand by its product and hides behind the policy that gives the buyer no recourse. read more

This is somewhere I shop often for hair products. This store has always been pricey but it's the only store close that carries a lot of BLACK hair supplies. Make sure you ALWAYS check your receipt as if they make a mistake and OVER charge you, you can only get store credit ! I bought 4 packs of hair and they charged me for 6. Something about the price didn't feel right so before I walked out I checked my receipt and I was right I was overcharged. Immediately I went back to the cashier at which they told me they could only give me store credit even if it was their mistake. Absolutely the WORST customer service and management that I have ever experienced simply because I complained, again, that they don't have the price on most of their merchandise!! According to California Consumer Affairs, retailers must display the price of merchandise. I asked for the name of the owner, they refused to give me. However if you want to purchase items like like Shea Moisture you can get them cheaper at Walmart/Target etc. This store is HUGE so the selection is pretty good. The staff is fine.
