Thought I had it covered with Aarsen but finding a very VERY casual attitude around providing dates and/or actually showing up - without even the courtesy of letting me know if time frames THEY communicated can't be met. Painters coming from Victoria so really need to be able to depend on the gutter folks but now no confidence Aarsen will ever actually show up - seems like they feel they are doing their customers a favor by accepting their business. Will look for someone who understands professionalism. Perhaps even someone who actually cares about their customers.

I just can't like wide plank in a residence. I tried living with the carpet that was in place when I purchased my patio home but I hated it. Two shops insulted my taste when I asked for 3" random length boards. Ron found it for me! My budget covered the price quoted and install was not a long wait. Brian and Scott did a beautiful job! Worst experience with a trade in my life. My previous 2…read morestar review was based on my experience of working with him and the quality of his work. His response was a vicious personal attack so I amended my review. He listened to a few things we said but it was mostly the Steven show. He would pat himself on the back and say what a good job he did but there was so much debris left in the bathroom I couldn't get in to see his work. Denies hearing things you said, won't admit anything is wrong, blames everything but himself and he never did finish siliconing the shower. Mosaic bands don't match and covered with copious amounts of grout, glass was 3" higher than the tile and only 33" wide. Grout lines and tiles don't line up. He left without finishing above the tile and left us to patch and sand. Nothing put down to protect our hardwood floors or deck from shoes or globs of mortar. Mortar poured into clean garden beds, bits of tile left on the lawn, garbage cans dragged over freshly refinished deck. It's only been 6 months and we've already replaced the glass and contracted to have tile work redone. We found Steven didn't really work with us on the project. He decided what he was going to do in with as little input from us as possible. I didn't appreciate being treated like an idiot because I'm a woman and I think that was part of the problem. Steven never heard the axiom "the customer is always right".
