My wife & I called ahead several days ago and scheduled a Mon. 10am appointment for pedicures. When we arrived at exactly 10 (when the store opens), we were told to wait. The place was already packed and our technicians were supposedly "on the way." It appears they took walk ins before acutal appointments as there were othe people waiting too. Would not recommend. Friendly and somewhat patient (because I had to change the color I picked it looked nothing like on display yet I still had to settle) I can see why the reviews are low with the quality and outcome of my nails. I got a pedicure and manicure. Both had polish/gel on my skin around my nails. It may have been just the person I got but the nails did not look professional done I could've easily just done my nails at home instead. My square shape for my pedicure that I requested to keep was messed with as well unfortunately. read more

Nice staff but por quality. I got a pedicure and manicure dip. First time getting dip and it was not a great experience. Took an hour and the only tools used were an electric filer and regular filer. No attention to cuticle or shape of nails. I spent a month growing my nails to an almond shape and it's now oval. Nail tech tried to fix it (and maybe she thought she did) but I just wanted to hurry up and leave. My cuticles hurt.. and I'm going to have to figure out how to get this stuff around my cuticles off. read more

My pedicure lasted a whopping 20 min. I sat down after 3 other ladies who were getting pedicures and I was done first. How does that make sense? I even mentioned that it seemed quick and she said that she does quick pedicures. Not much of a massage and no hot stones or anything. Bummer. The last pedicure I had here was awesome. Edited to add that now my polish is see through and my nails aren't even fully polished! I won't be back. read more

I've never been so unhappy about a mani-pedi. I got gel polish and by day 5 it's all off, because it peeled off. Lisa (?) started by using an emery board on top of my nails, making them rough, which I've never had done before. Then the polish was never taken all the way to the top of my nails. By day 2, the polish by the cuticles was rough and started catching my hair. By day 4 all nails started to peel and by day 5, all polish is off, because she did a horrible job! If it wasn't for the fact that I was going on vacation the next day, I would've gone back the next day. I learned my lesson. Never go again!! read more

This was my second time at Exton Nail after a similar experience the first time. My mistake, I won't be going back. I went for an acrylic fill and cut down. First, the technician shaved the skin off the tip of my pinky when cutting them down, then gave a little cheer when she noticed it wasn't bleeding. Yay? When shaping them, I asked her at least three or four times to have them the same shape as when I arrived (square with rounded corners). I felt like I was hurting her feelings by constantly asking her to change it to square with rounded edges. SQUAREWITHROUNDEDEDGESPLEASE. Eventually I gave up. She almost got close, but the left corner of every nail is noticibly longer than the right corner giving them an asymmetrical look. Obviously not what I walked in there with. They generally look unfinished. There is polish on my fingers and cuts around the unfinished cuticles. The polish started to bubble soon after application and doesn't even cover the whole nail. Honestly, my overgrown nails from before I walked in the joint looked sooo much better than these. Plus, I'd avoid the heinous upselling. read more

Not impressed at all. We had an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes. There was not any mention of this when we arrived. There was an apology when we were finally seated for our pedicures. The apology was appreciated but not the excuses that went with it. When we were seated, really told to go have seat in back, no one came back with us. We seated ourselves in a warm pedicure bath with no jets going. When the appointment was made the person taking the appointment was told that neither of us wanted our manicure while we were seated for our pedicure. Clearly that fell on deaf ears as one of us ended up getting our manicure at the same time as the pedicure. While they think they are being efficient they are being rude and minimizing our experience. In addition, I had to request clean tools as the nail file and cuticle nippers were not clean or new. It has now been a couple of days and without doing any housework or dishes my polish already looks like it has been on for a week. I also found my toe in pain the next day due to a nip under my nail. Overall I will not go back and would not recommend. The issue with the cleanliness of the tools needs to be addressed immediately by the owner. No one should be exposed to previously used and unsanitized tools. Never again! read more

Waited 2.5 hours for gel mani and regular pedicure. They water down the Gel OPI it's barely recognizable from the sample color and your toes won't match. Make an apt if you're not a regular because they treat regulars with better service! read more

I walked in due to being in shopping center to get an eyebrow wax. I was greeted immediately and taken back to the waxing room. The "bed" they had me lay on was covered in a sheet with a single, disposable paper towel on the head area, which means they most likely don't change the sheet in between customers. Luckily, I was wearing a jacket and laid on my hood. The results of the eyebrow wax were fine. Nothing special, but nothing bad. The reason for the 3 starts is the amount of PAIN I was in. No, not from the wax, but from the harsh way she jerked my head and skin. I was very close to telling her to stop, but decided to suck it up. I have received many, many waxes over the years and have never been handled so roughly. On top of that, the wax was $8, while most other places charge $6-7. Not a huge deal, but those few dollars can add up since eyebrow waxes are something I do frequently. I wouldn't go back. read more

This place came recommended to me and I was hesitent after seeing the review on yelp. I was torn as to whether or not I should trust my friend or the review on yelp. I went with my friend, I shouldn't have. The place was 'meh' overall. Nothing spectacular. Things I did not like: 1. The floors were not even finished! It does not look professional or nice. 2. My girl was not friendly and I could barely understand her. 3. She kept asking me if I liked my color and I told her I did and she didn't seem to like it and made it known, that annoyed me. 4. I asked her to just trim and shape my nails, I barely have long nails now. She chopped them off! 5. They charged me almost $8 more than what they told me it was going to be. 6. I've been to Exton nails a few times for my acrylic nails. My first time there, I had an amazing expire and my nail tech, Tina, was great! We got along very well, and I ensured her that I would be back to see her! I went back two more times, for Tina and still I loved it! But, one day I had an appointment for me and my friend at 1:00. It was 130 and we were still not taken back. When I asked how much longer it would be, our question for brushed off, and we were ignored. I told myself I would never go back! I work in the same shopping center and Tina stopped by to apologize... After seeing Tina many times, raving about her and recommending her to all of my customers... I assumed we had a good relationship, so I decided to give it one last shot!!! I told her when I first got my nails done by her that I am not interested in gel polish. 1. Because it's not necessary when I already have fake nails and 2. The charge is not worth it. When I went back for the last time, She continues to force me to get it and she is actually calling me "Michelle" at this point. How do you not remember my name? If you don't, please don't try! I kindly corrected her and she still called me the wrong name. She ensured me "gel will be no extra for you, no extra charge" so I said yes so she would leave me alone and I could actually enjoy my lunch break getting my nails done!!!! also I told her I wanted a refill. My real nails were as long as my fake nail and she tells me I should just get the acrylic in my real nails... I told her "I wish, but I would bite it off.... Refill my set please" SHE STARTS TO BREAK OFF MY ENTIRE SET. When she was finished, I said "yes I wish I could leave my real nails" she says "oh you want fake nail?" At this point, I'm very frustrated!!!! she was not listening to me at all! I can tell she was agitated at this point as well and is rushing the entire service... Long story short, I left with a horrible new set, the acrylic was so thick (it looked awful) and I left there looking like I needed another refill on my nails. When I went to check out I was charged 20 extra dollars for GEL when I told her I did not want that to begin with!!! And on top of that she tells me (while huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes) "you need to tip me in cash- I'm not accepting this next time" I finally got my nails re done to say at JnL in downingtown and the man was astonished at the horrible job!!! He even told me it was a rushed job and they were not experienced! I would never recommend going there, ever. I wont be back. The place is so dirty. It may have been the worst pedicure I've ever had. She was so rough that the skin on my legs feels raw. My massage consisted of smacking my legs repeatedly with gloved hands and the fastest massage I've ever received. Not just length of time, but she rubbed my legs so fast that it hurt! She then used a nail scrubber to rub up and down my legs.. ouch! I came to relax and left very unhappy. I dont have a lot of extra money, and wanted to do something nice for myself. I do have to say I have had better pedicures than this place had to offer. The staff was nice, but this place wasn't for me. I've been coming here for 6 months now and I've never had a bad manicure. I've done dip powder as well as the UV Gel (hard gel) (pictured) and I've loved both. Fair prices too! All of the ladies are really nice and don't try to rush you out. Great selection of colors, especially with gel polish. Exton Nails' deluxe pedicure was recommended to me by a friend. Well, the deluxe was not deluxe at all! The girl acted like she was afraid to touch my feet. The "extra reflexology and massaging" was just a girl rubbing (not massaging) more lotion on my calves and instep- not even my whole foot. Horrible, horrible, horrible! THE worst manicure I've ever had. So I happened upon Exton Nails while shopping and thought it would be great to pop in when I was done for a quick manicure. After picking my color (which was not a good selection) they took me in right away. Although the shop looked a bit bare and shoddy they were busy so I thought they must be doing something right. Before she started I pointed out I had a small cut on my thumb and it would be best to avoid. She acknowledged and began. Not 2 minutes later she was digging in and trying to cut the skin ON my cut. I quickly pulled back (in pain) and politely reminded her AGAIN. So what did she do....stated cutting it again!!! Seriously?!? Its probably my own fault for not walking out there and then. She continued on and we began to have a nice conversation. I don't mind chatting but she would stop all togeher more then a few times to tell a story. Keep working lady I'm not here to make friends! Finally we get to the painting and she asked me "how long do your manicures usually last?" I replied that they usually last about a week to a week and a half if I'm lucky. She said " oh you are lucky haha most women here only lasts a few days." What? Oh great so you just admittedly just told me that you guys don't do a good job. Great, so glad I wasted my time and money. The kicker was after a nail or two she said "are you sure you like this color?" I replied yes and she then asked if I was sure which I said yes again. Last time I checked light gray was a popular color for Fall/Winter 2012. She said "you should really try red, everyone is getting it or maybe somthing with sparkle" Aren't these my nails?? Again lady please keep your opinions and stories to yourself. When she finished painting I gave them a once over and noticed a piece of stray nail poking up. It looked messy and didn't know if it was paint or my actual nail. When I asked she said "that's your nail". Why would she have not filed it in the first place is beyond me. But I said can you fix that b/c that is just asking to chip off. All she offerd was more paint. At this point I just wanted out. Needless to say please don't waist your time and money. I wouldn't be surprised if they stretched out their nail polish by adding remover...which would explan the quick chipping. read more

I am very picky about my nails...I like them long and they have to look like natural nails. I was very satisfied with the job Tina did when I reluctantly stopped in for a fill.
