I have been paying for a temperature-controlled unit for 2 years, and upon inspecting my beloved furniture, there was mold and water damage on a table and rugs. When Barbara looked at the unit, she said that she could not find where the water could have possibly come from (and even had the gaul to ask if the furniture was from a house destroyed from Hurricane Sandy!). She stated that the unit is kept at a temperature of 80 degrees F (which seems high), but what is the humidity level? She did not tell me. Then, when I asked for a written statement from her regarding the water damage, she said that there was no burst pipe or leakage...never stating where the water DID come from. This company is throwing their hands up and are very unhelpful to me. After being with them for about 5 years, I'm shocked that I'm not being helped at all. I can't wait to get my stuff out of there. SEPT. 2013 REVIEW: I have heard of horror stories when it comes to storage units, but I must admit: this place is beyond my expectations. Why? Because of the service by Manager Barbara. She is kind, helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and all around lovely. She always responds to emails quickly and is there to help. The only reason why I gave this place 4/5 stars is because although I have a temperature controlled unit, some of my wooden furniture items have mold on them after 3 years. We've used U-Haul for many years -- for all kinds of moves and transporting of items, and have…read morealways had positive rental experiences. This particular dealership in Neptune is unlike all the others we've dealt with. Long story short; our "go-to" dealership in the area has always been at 120 S. Main Street in Ocean Grove. That staff is always friendly and professional. Last Thursday, the Main Street dealership did not have any trucks until 5:00, and we needed one earlier. They booked us a truck at this dealership, at 1109 9th Ave. in Neptune. We arrived at 3:55, prior to the 4:00 closing time. That caused a very tepid check-out...with a truck that was extremely dirty, with squealing breaks. We called the "800 U-Haul number" the next day to ask about the breaks, as we were driving in a downpour in Princeton. We were told by the national U-Haul rep that this was extremely dangerous, and were given two extra hours on the 24-hour contract, so that we could get back to Neptune safely in the downpour, from Princeton. This dealership is not honoring the two extra hours that the national company extended to us, which is on our updated contract! And...the return "app" did not work--we spent 45 min in the parking lot just trying to return the truck. Bottom line...this is our very first one-star Yelp review. We would usually push past an experience like this, but decided that it may cause the management to clean the trucks and ensure that the breaks are up to standard.

Victoria, the funeral director, is extremely helpful & friendly via email with obituaries and any other help & questions you may have. We rented a limo for the funeral to the cemetery & the driver was very friendly & personable, & a pleasure to chat with.
